AI is no substitute for "actual intelligence". Stupid people now think they are clever because they can just get answers from an AI chatbot.  In this case I think the ChatGPT's answer would be correct if the towels were being dried in a tumble dryer. But the question stated 'on the line', so the answer is wrong. Now, if it had asked if it was on the same day, same time as the original towels, or mentioned wind speed and temperature, I would have been slightly impressed. I don't think it's even true of a tumble drier - it always seems to take about the same time regardless of what you put in.

We also had the classic - it takes 2 men 120 hours to decorate a 10 x 12 room - how long would it take 120 men? Mike's mum was in the 11 plus (but was called Tom, I think). Can you fit 120 blokes into a 10 x 12 room? Â Asking for a landlord friend....
Sit down, Waldo
Fed up of these AI bots popping up all the time. What are they actually doing? Â I'm self-employed & have used the same invoice template for 17 years...just change the client & job details. Â One of these AI things popped up whilst doing a recent invoice. Shortly after the client claimed they couldn't pay as the bank details were incorrect...checked it out & they were right. Only a couple of digits, but enough. Â This is the 1st time that's ever happened & that part of the template is never touched. Â What are the chances that it would be this invoice, the one that AI wanted to help with? But why would you let an "AI" anywhere near your invoice template? Cloud bad; on premises better.

Invoices virtually all e-mail these days. Template is in Word. Cloud is used for storage I'm afraid...don't like it, but had 2 hard drives blow up...but bizarrely the template isn't, it's on the desktop. Would like to disable these AI things but haven't found a way yet.

If you do the template correctly in Word using form fields for the bits you change (old-style form fields called Legacy on the Developer tab not the "new" content controls), you can't change other parts even accidentally without unprotecting the document. Not even an "AI" can do that. And PDF it before sending as that gives you another chance to check the text. (Oh, and never type in the Tell me ... box, learn how to do what you need to do instead.) And run several different AV checks as the nearest thing I get to AI popping up in Word is spell and grammar check.

What you really need is Office 2003 - the last vaguely decent one. But if you already have Office, you might as well use it.
