The Un-Greatest Generation

Recommended Posts

Everyone who is a grown adult today was taught about democracy, human rights, freedom of speech, the rule of law in school.

Everyone was taught examples from history about what happens when things slide towards fascism.

Everyone knows what the endgame looks like when fundamental rights and their legal guarantees begin to crumble.

Yet so many are completely silent and passive in the face of everything going on in the world today.

Are we looking at the "Un-Greatest Generation"?

Millenials and zoomers are either extremely woke, or unfathomably based. The atrocity propaganda was insufferable when I was in school, but I can't imagine how insufferable that crap must be these days if you add woke curriculum. And people wonder why young white men often drop out of society.

I didn't drop out, I just want no part in a society run by goblins. I can't even be around golems. Their thoughts are not their own and they creep me out.

I can understand this attitude. Might as well put minimum effort in as I don't want to contribute to a society that is going to treat my generation as a punching bag.

Baby boomers might have had it better, but I don't blame them. They're just a product of their upbringing too, J Hollywood fairytales will fvck with peoples heads.

I live in a small town. Myself and my husband gave up on society years ago because all everyone wants to do is gossip about each other. There are far bigger things going on in the world than your neighbours affair for example. None of us are perfect but gossiping just doesn't sit right with me. If you have something to say to someone say it to their face, or just avoid them altogether. The trust is gone in society. Your neighbours will slander your reputation for a societal game you can see through, but they are still stupid enough to play. There are no winners in societies ego games. We are only hurting ourselves in the long run and playing into the hands of the PTB.

Depends on where the person grew up. I'm of that generation and, frankly, I'm disgusted with the attitude that some express. In the 70s, the working class bore the brunt of the wrath of big business. Unemployment was high, wages were down, and we were told to get on our bikes by the middle-classes who voted in Thatcher, the grocer's daughter. We piss and moan on here about the elites but, my goodness, the downright naked avarice shown by our own middle class during those years was staggering.
