Yet now it's okay for councils to do the same thing.

In a 20 minute city you were 10 minutes over your prescribed travel duration, given what Sustrans say/suggest. We think that the best way to do this is to ensure that it is easy for people to meet most of their everyday needs by a short, convenient and pleasant 20-minute return walk. 10 minutes there, and 10 minutes back. https://www.sustrans.org.uk/our-blog/get-active/2020/in-your-community/what-is-a-20-minute-neighbourhood/

Observations
Mr H shared a twitter thread on shedding and Chris Sky was in the thread, saying he had sex with his ex wife's girlfriends ?? I thought is this THAT Chris?! Seem so. Anyway. Turns out Chris is running for mayor, or something? And he shared a lot on 15 minute cities and carbon reduction 'stuff / info ( Introducing a scheme and then moving the goal posts / upping the cost is so frequent now isn't it, so this is a quite a good tweet in my opinion. I didn't play the clip. Yet. ) ( Is he really running for Mayor? I must say if there's anything worse than being run by politicians, it's surely being run by loud mouthed conspiracy theorists. Haha. I don't mean you. I'm just messing about. Sort of. But it's given me good for thought. ) Edited February 14 by Observations considered deleting the stupid bits, but it wouldn't leave much

Chris also had a sex with his ex-wife gf? Talk about complication....

It took you 20 mins to get out of your village? it took my sister 50 years to get into her village, because the yuppies have all the houses now! Weird old world ain't it? at one time all the poor lived in the tied cottages in the country, and the rich lived in the towns and Cities, now it's turned full circle, the rich live in the country cottages and the poor are crammed into the towns and Cities! Anti Facts Sir
Oh yeah, saw the thing on AOL News where it quoted the move was "attracting conspiracy theories". What they mean is, ignore those people who are onto what we're trying to do.

EnigmaticWorld
Aren't commie blocks essentially already 15 min neighborhoods? They usually have a shared recreational area in the middle, and most amenities within walking distance at ground level.
EnigmaticWorld
Pretty much, just with international aesthetics. Those new build flats with local amenities are going up all over the place in urban areas. They're turning the UK into a smart, cosmopolitan megacity favela, but will the elites keep the British countryside for themselves? They want demographic change in rural areas, so I'm not sure how much they truly care about our greenbelt.
