If I was wearing European cultural garb in another continent and one of the natives asked me what my ethnic origin is, I wouldn't start seething. I don't even see how it's racist, it's just curiosity. She said that she didn't know what her ethnic background is because of lack of record keeping, which is fair enough, but theres no need to go mad over an honest question. The whole story seems contrived, and the timing is sus. Right after actual important hashtags like the recent census data have been trending, #RacistRoyalFamily suddenly started trending. It's horrendous to listen to the gate keepers; they're not having any of it. The callers; one was Jamaican, she said the colours were Nigerian. She said she is very proud or her heritage. The other was very English; she said it's polite to ask where someone is from. What a set up. What theatre. An absolute disgrace that this is an inside job, a simulation, a training exercise. But yeah that it exactly it - it's just how I'm made. I'm part Irish, part Londoner, brought up in the age of classic British comedy. It was when I watched the Paul Merton ep of Who Do You Think You Are that I realised why we do that same stupid thing, always poking fun at stuff and coming out with one-liners. I'm often apologising to my lady for doing it, it's a knee jerk thing. It's our background. How we are.
