Are there are any stats to back this up? Most groups besides white liberals have in-group preference, so how does fairness play into our basic tribal nature, unless we all get to have our own homelands and some self-determination? If I talk about fairness and the rights of the individual to someone that lives in China, will he be able to relate? Over there it seems like the individual doesn't have much value, eveything is about what is good for society as a whole or the CCP.

 

Same with some religious zealots, will they all value fairness and peace in the same way, or would they rather that I submit to their ideology?

 

Wars are not the worst thing either, being a deracinated slave where you don't love or value anyone enough to the point where you would fight for them is far worse. A psychologically normal person is capable of disrupting and changing his or her habits and thought patterns when reality calls for it.

 

"I am really getting fat. I need to eat healthier and exercise more."

 

"I procrastinate too much. I need to find a way to start my chores much earlier than I do right now."

 

"I believed in my political party for a long time, but I am starting to see that it may not be the right party anymore. I am going to start looking at alternative parties more objectively."

 

 

A psychologically normal person is capable of experiencing doubt, hesitation, changing their views, sitting on the fence on tough issues and asking questions like "Am I doing this right? Am I seeing this right? Are my values and ethics correct?"

 

 

And this can often lead to positive changes in values, behaviour, life goals and especially behaviour towards others.

 

 

People with OCD - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - are cognitively stiff motherfuckers on the other hand.

 

They feel COMPELLED to think, act or perceive in certain ways, and their greatest wish is often that EVERYBODY ELSE looks at life in THROUGH THE EXACT SAME OCD LENS.

 

Their goals for themselves and others are often very OCD and very ILLOGICAL.
