Was The 1979 Film "Alien" Designed To Turn Women Off Heterosexual Intercourse With Men?

Didn't quite realize this back then, but the famous "chestburster" - depicted below - is essentially a Wiener with nasty teeth and blood smeared all over it.

Its almost conveying "A man's instrument will hurt you badly inside" to women.

At the time I thought it was just a "horror design" by the famously eccentric Giger.

Now, with Woke and LGBTQ everywhere, I'm beginning to wonder whether this was an early example of programming aimed squarely at female viewers.

Were women supposed to get so freaked out by this thing - subconsciously - that it made the thought of having intercourse with men less desirable?

In the film version the creature also has a long Spermathoza-like tail.

"Sperm will hurt you"?

In the film

The two writers of the story managed to get the Company Producer to employ the artist HR Giger for set and alien designs.

He did all the design work from initial sketches up to the working models of all the stages of the Aliens incarnations.

Most of Giger's life work is very heavily sexualised.

And no I don't think it put any women off of heterosexual sex.

(Well... None that I've 'known'.)

Have you watched, or do you know the concept / idea behind the film - Teeth 2007 ?

That kind of film was designed / written with a clear purpose.

Stirred up a whole load of Stink.

I do know the film and did think of it.

Sigourney Weaver said in an interview that "Giger was obsessed with vaginas".

Apparently even the alien eggs the facehuggers jump out of were supposed to resemble female genitalia.

What led me to post this thread is this:

- Ridley Scott's 2 latest Alien films feature a non-terrestrial race named "The Engineers"

- They supposedly created us humans and were thus "our Gods"

- The films ruin the Alien formula completely to push a strange agenda about us being the creation of, essentially, albino bodybuilders from somewhere else in space

- Ridley Scott's brother, who directed the original Top Gun agitprop film, committed suicide by jumping off a bridge for reasons nobody understands

- Scott's production company is named SCOTT FREE, which makes you wonder whether it refers to FREEMASONRY

- Ridley Scott directed the iconic 1984 launch ad for Apple's 1st Macintosh

- Apple not only used a "forbidden fruit" logo but also priced its first Apple I computer exactly USD 666.66

its a horror film so yes. The scene in the boiler room with Lambert

and then the rape scene with Ash (even male dickless robots want to rape with a rolled up magazine phallus)

the deliberate choice of a man to get impregnated first as the progeny for the alien , ripley was last alive,

but then the male death scenes also have a sexual connotation --- dallas in the tunnels , the aliens open arms

and the ship , mother, becoming the ultimate destructor

its a horror film with all traditional roles and recognisable conventions twisted

l had a book of his work......sex sex sex.....sexual landscapes......sexual robotics......sexual themes in 90% of his work either overt or subtlety hidden.
l don't think he had an agenda....just an eccentric artist obsessed and focused on all aspects of sexual union.

He put spikes through Debbie Harry's face too.

Just in case anyone reads this literally...

HR Giger didn't ACTUALLY put spikes through Debbie from the band Blondie's face.

He did design a freaky album cover though using his trademark gore fest horror style;

Did she read Prince Harry's autobiography and do this to herself?

😆

Sounds like a reversal of the old 'vagina dentata' folk tales of long ago.
