How they can justify increasing Council Tax when all services are diminished to the point of being inadequate is beyond me.

they are paying £7 million a day to house migrants in hotels

This is why there were yellow vest protests in france: because the government increased taxation of working people to pay for the mass migration that the globalist political class wanted to impose on france

the british people watched this happen and voted for brexit to avoid the same happening in britain by ensuring strong borders but the political class here are globalists too so although they did get britain out of the EU they continued to pay money to the EU and they continued to use the british border patrol and RNLI as a taxi service to lift migrants from the french coastline and then carry them over the channel to britain where they hand them over to neo-marxist civil servants who coach them in how to game the system to gain citizenship so that they can get free money, housing, healthcare and education etc

Thanks Morpheus, I'll have a good read of that tonight.

It's scary how bad this is all getting. If this goes up, I don't think I can afford to live.

Being a single person in this world is nearly impossible to survive.

I need to start a petition to legalise gangbangs and polygamy to tackle the climate and cost of living crisis...

Council tax to soar above £2,000 for the first time: Millions of families face fresh financial agony as Jeremy Hunt prepares to let town halls add £100 extra to bills in his budget

Rishi Sunak and Jeremy Hunt are poised to lift the decade-long cap on increases, amid warnings that hundreds of local authorities could go bust.

  • Chancellor Jeremy Hunt may lift decade-long cap on increases to council tax
  • Councils can currently only raise taxes by three per cent but this may rise to five
  • For an average Band D bill of £1,966 this would cost an extra £98 next year
  • Council tax now set to surpass £2,000 for average household for the first time

It's funny whose problems he is referring. Because from memory he was the chancellor that created all these financial distortions we see today.

Weird how folks will have to pay more in taxes, see less public services, yet we still have plenty to send to the conflict in Ukraine. Hopefully folks will snag soon and protest about it like in czech and France...

I feel the logical step for anyone in here is to remove himself from the monatary system.

if you live in the West, work 20h per week and you pay 0$ tax . then work some jobs under the table and laugh at the fools who pays for it all?

if you own a house, you are already getting screwed by housing taxes. sell your house, and rent.

Non-payment of a tax results in the full force of the court system descending upon the poor bastard who thinks the law is on their side. Gaol or a lien on your property will result. They get their taxes and you will pay the fine.

Indeed. Protestors may have right and common law on their side, but without action en masse - a complete boycott of this tax - fines and/or jail will be the result for individuals brave (or foolish) enough to oppose the system.

In the meantime, the Council Krays keep on getting the dosh while the tax paying public receives the square root of sod all in exchange.. bins emptied every two or three weeks or so if you're lucky. Demanding money with menaces is supposed to be illegal, but not in this particular case.

The local council has the power to set its own taxes. But the tax rate should be optimal, because if the tax is too high, people will look for ways to circumvent the tax. Also, when new taxes are introduced, the rating among local residents drops. The council of our city is always interested in the opinions of local residents on various projects and plans of the council. We use https://www.councilratings.co.uk to leave a comment. The council tries to do its best to satisfy the residents.
