Whilst I don't agree with violence or condone it, I might make an exception for these types. They really are 'hatchlings' when it comes to how the world actually works.

The ones blocking the streets, sitting in the road in front of cars…. Perfect height for them to receive a swift kick to the head….. just saying…. I am surprised it hasn’t happened yet.

I get all of the negative posts about Just Stop Oil protestors, I really do, I'm certainly no supporter of them myself, but at least they are doing something to gain public notice. It's about time we started high-visibilty protests of our own since singing, dancing, walking the dog, and pushing pushchairs around London for a few hours has had little effect so far.

You would not get any visibility regardless. I remember at the height of lockdown protests when hundreds of thousands were marching the streets there was radio silence from all media. The same week a couple of snobby housewifes from XR smashed some bank windows and it was front page news all over the BBC and papers.

 

These Just Stop Oil/XR protests get visibility precisely because that is the agenda TPTB are pushing. Just look at the difference in the police response from the storm troopers beating up lockdown protesters to the soft caring bobbies having a heart to heart with morons glued to the roads.

 

The manipulation is sooooo blatant its not even funny anymore.

Fair do's, I get your point. The thing is though, we're not rocking the boat hard enough. Just Stop Oil are protesting about things that may or may not affect us in the future. Our concerns are about despicable events that have already happened, and will continue to happen, until there's not one of us left standing. We know their plan and there's very little time left to oppose it.

And when you do rock the boat you will find yourself on the sharp end of a very unfriendly police officer and will end up arrested and dragged through the courts and end up losing your job and most probably many other unpleasant consequencies.

 

I agree that something should be done but anything short of mass rebellion is pointless.

 

I am at the point now where i've made some preps and will await the shit to hit the fan. Will it be too late by the? Who knows. But what I do know is I can achieve nothing by drawing attention to myself and my views other than suffering for me and my family so will sit on the fence. The sheep have sold us down the river and only when the slumbering masses awake do we have any hope to achieve anything.

Perhaps you are right. But getting myself arrested and fired now whilst achieving absolutely nothing is an exercise in futility. There will be no Martyrs in this fight. The few who do bravely stand up and take action before it is too late will be swiftly dealt with and made example of. Feel free to start the rebellion. You could go superglue yourself to a road demanding an end to the climate hoax or the great reset but you will get no exposure by the press and the police will issue swift justice if the angry mob of NPC's don't.

 

It is indeed a conundrum but as previously stated it is my view that until TPTB start to squeeze the sheeple hard any kickback is futile. All I can do is to not be at home when indeed they come a'knocking on my door and if I am fight i will when I have nothing left to lose.

Problem is we would not get the MSM coverage they do. We would be demonised from the word go. The Police would not stand around watching us or check to see if we need anything to make us more comfortable, they would drag us off to be ‘dealt’ with. Politicians would not talk about our cause as they do at every opportunity on the environment. And last but not least, the public will not want reminding of what they have done to themselves and their children and so will side with those demonising us.  In short the whole system would turn against us with full force.

My problem with them is, what are their solutions? All very well saying Just Stop Oil, but what are they suggesting replacing it with?

Renewables may be alternative supplements but they cannot supply all power needs - solar panels only work when its sunny -  even in hot countries, when its cloudy they dont produce any energy. So what for cloudy Britain and the northern hemisphere generally?

 

Id have a lot more respect for them if they had a proper manifesto and practical solutions to a non-oil energy system. Also think theyre sending a message to a generation of protesters that destroying great art is the answer. This is just mindless vandalism. The artworks they attack might be covered in glass but if this craze takes off a lot wont be.

I would join in any concerted effort to put a stop to the nonsense, even knowing the odds are stacked against us.

 

I am also in agreement with those who think it would be futile.

 

Which sounds like a contradiction I realise, but what I mean is that to have any chance of succeeding there would need to be a very substantial number of coordinated, like- minded people involved, and the logistics and confusion make it seem unachievable.
