numnuts
Who knows, by tomorrow morning they might be mowing down motorbikers, after a little tipple, then fleeing the scene and then fleeing the country. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-63280519 'Hong Kong protester dragged into Manchester Chinese consulate grounds and beaten up.' "It's ridiculous. They [the attackers] shouldn't have done that. We are supposed to have freedom to say whatever we want here [in the UK]." (Where did he get that idea from?) Nefaria
I was in Birmingham city centre the other day (more specifically walking up New Street, a group of Iranians were protesting about mistreatment of women there but also about the BBC here… but I couldn’t help thinking why are you protesting in this specific spot? No where near the BBC or Iran! The men also made me feel quite uncomfortable as the stared at me as I walked past, ironic considering what they were protesting about! Why do people protest in this country about what happens in others that we have no control over? What exactly are they going to achieve? It seems to be happening more and more lately, the bending of the knee stuff that spread is part of it too. numnuts
No, the Chinese shouldn't have reacted like they did. However, it looks like at least some of the protesters were trying to goad them. If only some of our own M.P.'s were as concerned, when it comes to U.K. police officers assaulting members of the public, who are not even protesting and only peacefully filming in public. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-63296107 'Chinese diplomat involved in protester attack, says UK MP.'
