Has consumer technology destroyed us?

It’s been years since the days of the old forum, known back then as simply “the forum”. Yes the police, nhs, spooks and other gov creatures love to get your details and posts, email address etc from this site to build a profile of your delusions so they can fuck you at a later date.      BUT.,,,,,            Putting all that aside, I honestly believe the proliferation of Chinese consumer technology has turned everyone using it into something less than they were before, even me!                 A drink at my local pub (the counter surveillance I had to do just to have a quiet drink for 20 mins was ridiculous) or should I say a chat I had at my local pub whilst drinking confirmed my statement-                                                        A local chess team were playing in the saloon , a chat with the adjudicator revealed for a living she handles millions of pounds for school budgets in our county. She told me a worrying percentage of children coming through the system right now don’t know how to use a knife and fork or how to wipe their own backsides amongst other strange things you’d never hear 20 years ago.                       I asked her what she thought was causing it.                                               She said it was down to smartphones and the consumer technology we’re obsessed with. Parents are too busy tapping away at their own bullshit to bring up their kids properly.                      I believed her.                                              If it’s a future war being waged then the Chinese/Russians/Iranians have already won! Look at what we’ve turned into! A bunch of apathetic confused moronic lazy children waiting for a pat on the head from big brother.                                                           Have you seen that film “Idiocracy”? Couple that film with elements of Huxleys brave new world and we have a blueprint for our shining new world.       Thoughts……please

Booked tickets to watch the Rugby in Wales. Everything now is e tickets. Rung up the stadium. Blagged a confirmation on the gate. Poor girl couldn't comprehend that I don't own a smart phone.

I'm probably about 80-90% of grid. Me and my lady agree that we at some point need to bin all our laptops, tablets etc.

I'm always pretty busy but like now I'm chatting on the forum. As soon as my family is clear of it all we can go back to normality.

Tell me about it…. If you say ur not online or don’t own a smartphone they look at you like ur somehow not of this world. Been years since I’ve been online having just bought one, regretting it now as they use everything I say against me. It’s all evidence for their investigations. If you  think I sound paranoid then you’d be right. I read the bastards files they got on me through SAR. It’s a 101 on how to lie and destroy lives. The informant is still at large in my life. I hope they get to hear about the grave I dug for them.

What is your family waiting to be clear of?

I reckon tech is a big part along with the vaccines that kids take especially the MMR jab.

A lot of people I know who have had kids in last 8 years have got severe learning issues, eg wearing nappies at age 6 despite parents trying everything but nothing works, not being able to pronounce their own name, extremely hyper active with low attention spans.

Toni Bark (rip) was outspoken on this but sadly passed away just before covid lockdown started

David has been pretty clear about their planned programme. First they get us to use carryable tech like smart phones and then once we are accustomed / addicted to those they bring out wearable tech like smart watches and google glass and occulus and then they start pushing smart tattoos to get the tech onto your body and then they start pushing IMPLANTABLES like neural laces to get the tech into your body

So the plan is to invade and occupy the human body through a process of steps that lead us into a transhumanist merging with the smart grid which they are building: the 'totalitarian tiptoe' as david would call it

I'm going to stop that process in its track by simply refusing to engage with any smart tech but i expect my life to become simpler and harder

i've just run out of likes but totally agree with you....its a quiet epidemic

of course injecting tech into people can be a short cut to their end goal

Just finishing projects to be independent completely. Once I can get All of my resources by my own graft or from local sources. Ironing out problems with food production etc.

For me it's not necessarily harder but more labour and time intensive. (Probably what you are alluding to!) Luckily at a certain point, through trial and error, most jobs become a lot easier and more satisfying. When I can go to sleep with the confidence that my efforts are working is the moment when I believe I will be 100 free of the system..

Most of humanity are not of a high enough level of consciousness to be able to use technologies without developing, in many cases, hardcore addictions to them. The smartphone addicts are the worst. I actually believe it takes a terrible toll on a person to live amongst people like that, in the same way it takes a terrible toll on someone when they work in a lunatic asylum where people are smearing their shit on the walls. I feel it every day. Every. Fucking. Day. I also hear people saying that people like myself are luddites and that technology is "just a tool". For sure it's just a tool. I'm sitting using it right now. But a chainsaw is a tool too - it doesn't mean I'd hand one to a Toddler, does it?

In order to use certain tools, people need training, co-ordination, caution, intelligence and awareness. Sorry, but the average person has almost none of those.

These technologies have been implanted into our society deliberately so that people would enslave themselves with them. And it's working. Look around. I see actual couples out on dates sitting in restaurants literally ignoring each other, friends out with friends, sitting for up to half an hour at a time without speaking a word to each other, and worst of all, people out for walks with their children/dogs and are resolutely ignoring the poor little blighters, which in both instances will cause serious damage.

Technology addiction is the one of the top three issues facing humanity in the 21st century, and I say that, without the slightest hint of irony, whilst sitting in front of my laptop.

I am a Luddite through choice. If tech doesn't make my life easier without stress or feeling wrong, I don't use it. using a laptop for the forum I accept because I can benefit from what I read.

Worse than the technology is the LOUSY content quality.

Everything has gone downhill.

Movies, music, games and more.

it is because people are not simply trying to create art anymore. Now everything coming out of the mainstream is simply a vehicle for social engineering

for example even if they are making a historic drama it won't be there to reflect the historic reality to inform people it will be to push certain themes and incorrect perceptions in order to subconsciously 'nudge' the perceptions of the viewer toward the world view that the social engineers from the tavistock institute want you to have

yeah you re right man. Would working locally on my own land even though it would require some sweat and toil be 'harder' then driving through traffic to do my current work? i don't think so

'I wonder if, whether 'easier' or not, it is a better life? Simpler? healthier? More spiritually satisfying? or not? So far as we can, we import our needs from small and honest craftsmen and tradesmen. We subscribe as little as we can to the tycoons, and the ad men, and the boys with their expense accounts. If we could subscribe to nothing at all, we would be the better pleased.'

This is worthy of a separate thread but I'll put up this as follows anyway for general insight:

What you say I've highlighted in bold in quote is indeed so as the general mind bender, but I would say an exception would appear where I heard words from a lady guest I heard on a BBC talk radio this week talking on such, but that had to do with this ONE GUY RICHARD III.... and I reckon (atm I DO BELIEVE HONESTLY by at least her own endeavours) about her own alternative investigations into Richard lll, it could be FOR SURE IT SEEMS, her work could be revealing Richard III guy as an almost entirely different person from the one portrayed by others "findings", especially in movies re-enacting the believed but false Richard lll hence practically fictionified version of him in that way.  Anyway that guy of whomever the person shall come to light (*or has come to light*) was he who the archeologists found underneath a carpark in Leicester some years ago and the debate about the RICHARD III, (I believe now re-buried at another location <-Click) ...I think has been raging ever since, over matters concerning the man himself.

..((*Sorry* folks - can't find the podcast for that very much individually expressed lady guest talking on THAT^^  matter at present.... but it was this early October that got broadcast on radio 4 I think??))

-------------------------

ALSO, by commonality in terms of historical definitions and whatever here is a podcast speaking of historical accounts etc, so it seems, have a go at this someone, I can't, I'M JUST not that much in the mood, but feel free if you are.... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/brand/p0d0mj5v "Untangling History"..?.... (Can any tell is this for "Real" at all found on the BBC or does it reveal half truths or what?) ... I might watch it myself later.  Even if just to get the mind working! as I happen to feel today. 🙂

And so too this entitled: "ARTS & IDEAS" podcast thing on Sounds, if anyone would like to give this a look,

maybe someone try and tell us what you find....please?... if you feel like it.... (I can't vouch for it, as again- ain't seen it thus far)

They did say they want to merge humans with AI nano tech by 2045. The way it’s going it’ll be 2030.  Dozens of Hollywood films spring to mind but then isn’t Hollywood funded by military? That’s why you always see you’re favourite actors in military films- just doing their duty! Once they’ve done a couple they go back to being lovvies.                                               Just realised how hypocritical I’ve been as no one would be able to have a discussion like this without the hallowed Chinese consumer technology we covet so much.                  Suppose the backlash to all this is the younger generation coming up right now. Some of them absolutely do not give a flying fuck about all the rubbish we’ve grown up with, they see it for what it really is, and will literally tear this culture to shreds. Good on them!         Bombadil I can sense you’re a kindred spirit-Defo time to put this shit down and do some work outside.

I don't get done social mixing myself so I don't have best insight, and even if I am reading the paper, how does that tell me what the generation NOW really are thinking? It won't honestly do so of course without huge doses of bias as we all know, so my question is what forms that opinion of yours (almost a sort of optimism is it?) about said Generation coming up from your perspective or witnessing of these younger people talk etc? And the UK are we talking? or where?

Dunno just a feeling I get. Yes optimism that some young wildcard will do what we all couldn’t. Yes the uk, where everyone’s dreams can be made reality by good old fashioned hard work and total acquiescence to authority.

okay, I guess...

Don't know what that will take to materialize or actionize or blow up sts, but ok.....What form of dissention or revolt could that

take, any ideas? I don't know too much about Modern Wokism which is so strange in face of real truth as it were (but anyway I add the word MODERN there to give it a double word rounded meaning suggesting it comes from younger minds how truth may appear to them by how they've been told etc).
I only know that [Modern] or [Soley Modern] Wokism is most likely the result of more brain-washing, and comes from people who have defective thinking (probably).

Acquiesence how? Who wants acquiesence?

I'm supposing you meant "OR total acquiesence?"
