174 Killed in football match

Shit! Why is anybody even thinking of going to these countries! It's madness. More pointless deaths is the last thing anyone needs, it's like life is worthless to some.

I'm not disputing that this was caused by rival supporters (because I'm not motivated to look into it) but how easy would it be for the cabal to take advantage of crowds being in confined spaces to perpetrate something like this. There'll aways be some Antifa type mentalities happy to do their bidding for a pay cheque, and it's a great opportunity for the busybody authorities to step in with the decision that live viewing is no longer allowable for heath & safety reasons.

Qatar is run by disreputable savages to start with.

I have friend who's husband work in Qatar - she took clot shot to see him... They keep all the restrictions in place. She had quarantine and stuff... It's sad because I like her. 😔

Security will probably be bussed in, hired hands from the West maybe. But whether they will know how to deal with situations is another thing.

I don't plan to watch any of it, but I hope no more lives are lost.

East, more likely. Much cheaper and not too fussed about breaking heads. This WC is an utter farce built on greed, corruption, bribery, and the graves of 6000+ dead workers. Have you ever known a WC to interrupt a league season? Me neither. But the way football is these days, it's all about money. Manchester derby day today and the Guardian made a big deal because two local players were involved. No sense of irony at all. Now it's the global derby and the world must be given what once belong to the football watching community of Manchester.

I was once an SIA licensed supervisor. Upon completion of my badge i inquired whether my licence would be valid in other countries. The information passed to me was that outside the UK borders  the only land that would accept my SIA License would be Gibraltar. Expect nothing but carnage from thugs masquerading as security.

so they saw a charged situation in the form of a brawl and decided to fire tear gas into the crowds to break up the brawl which then caused a stampede that saw dozens killed in the crush

isn't that like trying to put out a fire by throwing petrol on it?

Very reminiscent of Heysel, Belgium in 1985, where dozens where said to be killed due to a wall collapsing. Later the story was changed that the fatalities were due to the trampling of  people trying to escape the violence. People in the stadium at Heysel  were seen to be shooting pistols at the crowd on the original television  footage which i watched live, there is very little video available online nowadays to look into . Very strange.

Heysel changed football completely.

5 year ban on English clubs in Europe - bringing an end to 8 years of dominance.

Top english players moved abroad to get more money and play in european cups.

Quality of club football suffered. PRS - get foreigners in!

Set the ball rolling for all-seater stadia, with Hillsbrough in '89 causing even worse tragedy.

So...is there an endgame to this latest event...or just a terrible one-off in some third world country.

My take.. Heysel was a precursor for a nefarious plan.
Hillsborough, a ritual underneath a Moloch owl above the grounds' roof at Hillsborough stadium,
The police knew that many Liverpool fans were still on delayed trains from Merseyside on the day, yet did nothing and "kettled" the Liverpool fans into the Leppings Lane entrance ,and also the emergence of Rupert Murdochs' Sky television which would transform English football forever. Making Murdoch much more 'powerful' and certainly wealthier, and the emergence of the 'Premier League' The disparity between divisions became huge in financial terms.
All seater stadium - take a look at who got the contracts to 'renovate' the football grounds after these tragedies.

The endgame...to price the working man out of attending live sport fixtures, thus making it only accessible to a wealthy elite. The destruction of the British working class orchestrated by the 'upper classes'
Iv'e attended football matches in the likes of Indonesia and Thailand, the fans are much less threatening than say a Leeds vs Manchester United match. Something strikes me as very odd here.

Good stuff, ashamed to say I'd never thought about Sheff Weds and the owl emblem in relation to Molloch.
