Why Are "Superstar" Fashion Designers ALWAYS Gay Men?

My thoughts on the issue:

 

- A heterosexual man would likely make a BETTER designer, because a heterosexual man is ATTRACTED to women, to their BEAUTY and FEMININITY and WOMANHOOD, and knows INTUITIVELY whether a piece of clothing makes a woman look ATTRACTIVE and BEAUTIFUL or not

 

- A gay man on the other hand feels NO ATTRACTION whatsoever to women, and should actually have SERIOUS PROBLEMS judging whether a woman looks ATTRACTIVE or not.

 

- In exactly the same way, a heterosexual woman should make a GOOD designer of mens' clothing, because she can make a male model put on a jacket and say with certainty "The shoulders look broad. The neck looks strong. The chest muscles look like a mountain face. Yes, this design makes a man look powerfully masculine."

 

 

If this is the case, why this ARMY of gay men being star fashion designers?

A straight man is obliged to lie. "No, you don't look fat in that dress, darling", etc, etc. A gay man doesn't give a fuck. His business is fashion. Women in fashion need honesty. Ergo, gay men provide the honesty a straight guy would never dare to whisper, because the straight man is afraid of the pussy being withdrawn from service. It's as simple as that.

True, and probably why. But it's a very good point made in the OP. How does a gay man know what makes a woman attractive. And a lot of these women designers seem to hate their own kind too.

Not all of them; there are some that are straight. But generally, yes, they are gay. Probably because women tend to listen to their advice more, straight men often cannot tell their honest opinion about the issue and are obliged to lie.

I work in theater and have the opportunity to work and be friends with many, many gay men. Just like any group, there is quite a bit of diversity. I can tell you that there are many among gay men among my friends and acquaintances that LOVE women. They may not sexually desire women but absolutely love them. Maybe it is just a general appreciation of beauty and enhancing it rather than a sexual thing.

Have you seen the crap that they get those stick thin supermodels wearing on the catwalk?  Hardly practical everyday wear for us is it?  I am not a follower of fashion, I wear what I feel comfortable in (it’s what most of us women do), I would never take clothing advice from any man - gay or straight!
