I love the way they have an arrow. Just in case people don't know what Australia looks like.

It's also worth noting that Australia isn't actually complely upside down . Thats more Antarctica.it's at more of an angle.

dyall think australia is actually that shape in that orientation

i recognise that the UK shape is ingrained in my mind but really, thinking hard, it is that shape?

for instance, is the Exmouth to Augusta land /sea edge (EAE) actually orientated westerly?

Is this position based upon the position of the magnetic pole or positioned to the Sun , in the helio model?

on the Azimuthal Equidistant Projection Flat Earth the EAE is positioned almost at a right angle to the north pole which makes it face the Antarctic Circle around 3oclock (if the map below was a clock)

how do we know that EAE is not actually positioned to face the Antarctic at 5 oclock position , straight down across the ocean? The globe earth does

th-1674718598.jpg.0251ec6289345abd2d950ba244bcca22.jpg

in fact the Globe earth projection has the EAE facing Madagascar.

globe.jpg.2f84b0ad6746b551a6f806c0edb98db7.jpg

now one position will accommodate a compass setting but makes the Sun position a bit screwy

whereas another position makes the Sun position right but the compass wrong

I'm at something of a disadvantage in this thread as I'm not allowed to disagree with you

So il agree as much as I can.no Australia is not that shape particularly as shown on maps but also to a much lesser extent on globes. But the Fe map has also distorted it. It really isn't long and thin. I've been there

But the point I was making is there can't be many people who have made it through primary education that cant recognise the basic shape of Australia on any map even on the Fe map it's still recognisable as Australia and doesn't need an arrow

That said I did watch a series of Americans failing to identify any country at all including their own. Maybe the arrow was for them. So any one who has made it through primary education except americans

i have not seen a high alt balloon footage that confirms the land mass shape or orientation which we see on a globe or gleason map

Both sides seem to take for granted these landmass orientation and shapes (Italy, north america, central america, china, OZ, japan, NZ , UK etc).

These shapes are distinct and vital to our perception of our centred / decentred self.

I'd like to know how they are going to refreeze Antarctica 😂

Reversing global warming by REFREEZING the poles by would be both feasible and 'extraordinarily cheap', study claims

A unique concept for keeping the north and south poles cool has been outlined in a new study led by a researcher at Yale University in in New Haven, Connecticut.

I agree they are not accurate and most people can recognise them with out an arrow. Though it's mostly things that are mostly coast line that people can recognise. Land locked countries are a !ot more difficult as is just about anything in Africa land locked or over wise

If you want an actual discussion youl have to float over to the earth is a ball thread so you are breaking the rules and not me

I'm sorry, but this is the kind of childish meme that is intended to make 'flat earthers' look 'silly', and adds nothing to the debate, other than to provoke 'reactions' .

Don't be sorry Grumpy, you're right, I chucked it on just for a bit of fun, but, not to make anyone look silly, although - it could be seen as that by some - but that's not the intention, just a lighthearted silly, and yes - childish meme - but for a laugh. Reactions - yes - if it raises a laugh then cool - if it doesn't then fine.  We can have a bit a laugh on the Flearther thread. 👍

You sure can Peter!  As per the thread guidelines - If it is your belief that the Earth is not round, then I'm sure a little cheeky meme on here that might make pepple think about the indoctrination they have suffered from the establishment will go down well.
.....  Have you jumped the fence, is so, great! Good on you!
Pop on a meme here or there on this thread that shows the absurdity of the world being round on here.
However, something tells me - you want to discredit this thread and the believers that contribute that the earth is not round, if so, that's of course your choice and you can then go over to your own thread also on the 'nature of reality' posting section -  and post to your hearts content all the laughs you want.  But, no ones really posting on that thread are they?  It's all gone very quiet over on that thread.

Here's the thread guidlines if anyone is confused about wether they want to post on this particular thread or not:

This topic has been created  to create a space where members can post and discuss their beliefs and evidence that the Earth is flat.
The thread is only to discuss this particular view. Opposing views/beliefs/evidence can be posted in a newly created separate thread about the mainstream view of the Earth.

Amy member who does not follow these rules will be warned.

I know it was loaded Peter, we're all trying to work everyone out aren't we? Who to trust?  No one but ourselves?
I get it Peter i really do, I know you're abolutely no one's fool, just the opposite infact -  from what I have seen from you so far on the forum in the last couple of years, nearly 3 years that I've been on here, you are a person who sticks to his guns, steadfast, reliable, intuitive, experienced and knowledgeable, as well as humerous.   I see this in your exchanges with others and the way you word things.  Yeah I know - I sound like a big arse-kisser - but that's a fact in my book,(that you're a no-nonsense member that says it like it is)  if I thought you were a tosspot I would say so - but that isn't the case in my mind.
I know you feel strongly for what you believe in, which I respect.

Parried?  maybe yes?  I don't want conflict between us, I really don't, and nothing seems to divide us quite like this subject, it's a toughie for me Peter - I see your posts here and there and odds's too, and I think they're great, well thought out, confident and concise, and I know (most of us) on here are just good sorts trying to (in our own small way) cope with all this bullshit and try to pass information to others that may not yet be seeing the real picture, and yet again, I think I do underatand your feelings - as I once was of the same opinion, that you don't want to see flat earth being pushed as the 'real picture' as you feel it just discredits the whole truth movement.  (as I once did) ...I really get it Peter.
I get the whole flat earth thing really pisses off alot of people - I get that too - it used to piss me off, until I changed my mind, and that was a very gradual process that didn't happen overnight for me.
As with everything, time will tell - with regards to 'seeing who's who'. I know I might look like a turncoat in my recent support of FE, but it's been a gradual process I've really not taken lightly, certainly wasn't to piss off any globe people, like what I was,  it's straight from the heart and something I really feel that this is the truth of things - for me.  I just want the truth like everyone else, don't care if my chips get pissed on in the process. If we find out in our lifetime wether the Earth is round or not, if it is infact a globe then - great - as long as the truth is known.
Anyway, sorry for waffling.  Peace to you Peter.
...and to anyone else who thinks that we are a nutcases...   can't help but think about how we all felt about the vaxxed covidiots and how they felt about us (and still do - alot of them) and, (no surprise to us) we turned out to be right.  It's okay for David to talk about reptiles, so I think flat earth should be on the table too.
Let's keep an open mind eh everyone?

This entire thread to me is a blog, not a forum topic.

The issue is that NO one seems to consider the other view points and NO one ever actually interacts regarding those points .... thus the 23 hidden threads containing thousands of posts about the subject which ALL went round and round in the exact same circles.

Sadly people will not move from the fixed consideration they have formed even on this forum (whichever consideration that may be)!

It would seem that 'people' are Not moving from that which they currently consider correct .... which is a very limiting and disabling 'force' infecting them!

Maybe a thread which considers Why people get 'fixed' into limited beliefs should be stared?
