Music for the Mad times, the Sad times, and the downright Bad times ...

In this crazy world we now find ourselves living in, what music do you turn to when you hit rock bottom? I'm sure we all have favourites we listen to when we're feeling helpless, downtrodden or even suicidal. These 'elite' bastards have driven us into a corner with their wars, genocide and depopulation agendas and the sheer futility of it all sometimes takes us 'over the edge.' So let's hear what music brings you back from the abyss and inspires you to carry on, against all odds.

Here's some of mine to start wirh ...

I've heard a lot of songs and all i can say this is the most fantastic, spiritual intro and song i have ever heard. You got the helicopter rotors, Battersea Power Station, amazing lyrics from Tony Mortimer what else do you need? This song speaks to you like no other. " As we walk through the corridor of creation, we see lands divide, nation against nation like comets they collide.

As we walk through the
Corridor of creation
We see lands divide
Nation against nation
Like comets they collide
And we pray
We pray for the unseen
To be seen by the eyes of man
When heaven and earth are hand in hand
Thy will be done
Damn, get set for damage
Prepare the soul
To control and manage
Cut the groove
Make it rough like a chainsaw
Inject a beat eat meat like carnivore
Trumpets sound
And wrath pours down
Angels dance to the new groove in town
Clouds part
Sky opens wide
No place to run, no place to hide
Love rain down on me
Don't want to see it
Just wanna feel it
Love knows no boundary
Gotta believe it
And you'll receive it
Love - let it rain (8x)
Love
Tribes 144 on the mount
Like an exodus to the final count
Music is blasting, silence everlasting
The call of the cosmos got the
Planets dancing, 2 send a new wibe
New ray new day
A spiritual experience
Is gonna come you way
A vision a vibe with a touch too tender
Your love to the lord
Now it's time to surrender
Love rain down on me
Don't want to see it
Just wanna feel it
Love knows no boundary
Gotta believe it
And you'll receive it
Let it rain (8x)
Love - let it rain

When I'm at my lowest I gravitate to this song so atmospheric and opens my mind. Remember listening to this when I thought my world was crashing down all around me. In the end things turned out ok. Maybe not this time we shall see.

PS it was also an amazing TV series 🙂

I'm sitting here at almost 3AM (Us eastern time), on my 4 rth black russian (I almost never drink), and found this thread and made me try to think about what songs really do get me over the humps. There are so many that I couldn't realistically post them all, but I've always been a big Jackson Browne fan. IMO, his music is really good, but moreover, it was his lyrics that touched something inside of me. They were cleverly assembled to where you thought you knew what the song was about; but each individual line could be interpreted in various ways. It was like putting a puzzle together and I liked that because I could use my imagination. I got hooked in 1971 in 9th grade with his first album and been along the ride ever since.

I had hoped that he would be immune to the influences of the music industry because his compassionate lyrics told of the man he was, but I became dismayed that in the spring of 2020, he was reported as testing positive for covid ( that doesn't exist). After brushing that off, I watched some of his latest interviews on youtube, and would swear that he was reading from a teleprompter, the recollections of his life. Why would he have to do that? Even his last album "Downhill From Everywhere" had some pretty off the wall songs on it that wasn't in his nature. What really let the air out of the balloon was these pictures:

With all that said, the music I know and grew up with is a part of and imprinted on me, regardless of where it came from. I take it at face value and still listen to it with a grain of salt. It is hard to accept that there is no artists out there that is oblivious to this influence . With that I give you is a few examples of JB's songs that help me clear the hump; since I'm an insomniac, the first song rings a bell:

Understand this song , it's so important.

From 1971 and the most impact on me:

If you believe the western sun
Is falling down on everyone
If you're breaking free and the morning's come
If you would know, your time has come

If you believe the western sun
Is falling down on everyone
And you feel it burn, don't try to run
And you feel it burn, your time has come

I feel it

You feel another energy
And I feel a power growing
You feel another energy
And I feel a power grow

You feel another energy
And I feel a power grow

If you believe the western sun
Is falling down on everyone
If you're breaking free and the morning's come
If you would know, your time has come

If you believe the western sun
Is falling down on everyone
And you feel it burn, don't try to run
And you feel it burn, your time has come

I feel it

You feel another energy
And I feel a power growing
You feel another energy
And I feel a power grow

You feel another energy
And I feel a power grow
