A hot summer - ramp up the climate fear

Recommended Posts

I saw this over the top weather prediction for Britain on the front page of "The Daily Star" (July 11th 2022), which doesn't tally with what the Met Office are predicting for this weekend.

"UK as hot as Death Valley with 'extreme heat' 40C alert to rival hottest place on Earth"

"The Met Office has issued a sobering warning about this weekend's weather as Brits look set to take advantage with beer sales set to go through the roof at the same time"

The Met Office's website today (12th July) predicts 30 degrees for Sunday (17th) and 34 degrees for Monday, though if you go into Monday in more detail, it says 32 degrees.

Another Daily Star article ( July 11th) said:

"UK facing 'hundreds' of deaths as 43C heatwave 'could melt train tracks'"

"But experts are currently worried that temperatures could soar even higher, hitting 43C on Sunday and "obliterating" the previous hottest day of the year record set in July 2019."

The remarkable thing is that although the UK is a relatively small set of islands off the coast of north-west Europe, the weather can vary so much, depending on where you are.

There may well be some areas that do see up to 40C, but that's not to say the whole of the UK will experience the same weather at the same time.

To be honest, I'm only really interested in what the weather is going to be like where I am.

The forecast does change hourly though.

The media is predictably going into hysterical overdrive.

This is one reason why they stopped local news and weather broadcasts...and I mean local, not giving everyone in the south the London programming. Regional TV was harder to control. Now we're all locked into the same national bullshit, give or take the anti-White and anti-British propaganda of "London" news shows.

yes it would be fine if uk houses were designed to be cool in summer and warm in winter, our house is ok in winter but still hasn't cooled down that much upstairs even with all the windows open.

I've bought a portable air-conditioning unit since the heat is making my mum ill,  still 80f upstairs.  wonder if next door has a grow room going, I'm puzzled by why that room wont cool down.

When its hot outside, the mistake that people make is to open all the windows. 😫

All you end up doing is letting all the warmer air inside.

Same goes for those who have fans near open windows, all they end up doing is sucking warmer air from outside into your home.

I realised this only a couple of years ago, when it was really hot - I'd got home from work and it was over 30C outside; my flat was lovely and (comparatively) cool inside, because I'd left the windows closed all day while I was out, and closed the kitchen blinds. The mistake I then made was to open all the windows as well as the kitchen door which opens to the garden, as well as turning on the pedestal fan I had, because within minutes the inside of the flat became stifling.

Depending on the orientation of your property, the trick with opening windows is to only open those on the 'cooler' side, ie those that the sun isn't shining directly onto.

I thought snowflakes would have melted in the summer.

Ginger / "fair-skinned' people have every right to be concerned.

What's there to be so concerned about? People in Middle-Eastern and Equatorial countries have survived in these kinds of temperatures for centuries.

These types are only 'concerned' because their minds have been poisoned by their teachers and university lecturers, as well as the media, into 'believing' they should be concerned.

I'm in my late 40s now, and throughout my life, we've had periods during the 'summer' here in the UK when its been over 30C, this is 'nothing new' for me, its what I've always known.

But you can see how peoples' perceptions are being altered, and the 'thresholds' of what is considered 'very hot weather' are being lowered, to the point when a forecast of 23C is being touted by the media as a 'heatwave'.

We see dire warnings about not letting children be outside. There are family photos of me as a baby, less than a year old, sitting out in our garden in 1976, at a time when it was 'really hot' (and it was, there was a drought that summer), and the photo just shows me sitting there grinning and loving it.

I turned out alright.

We've had hot days before and never been required to fear for our very lives and panic like stink.

Before they hindered travel abroad, a great many UK residents made a point of flying off at least once most years to visit countries known to have far higher temperatures than are typical here. I don't recall much routine konking out from heart attacks resulting from this practice.

Perhaps they know the temperature will produce a particularly adverse effect in the vaxxed and that's why they need to get a cover story ready. Like so very many other things these days, this relentless flailing about over a bit of sun is abnormal and can't be taken at face value.

Exactly! For many years, millions of Brits have paid good money to fly 'abroad' to other countries where it regularly gets "this hot".

With all the aggravation being caused by staff shortages at airports, we should probably be grateful that the hot Mediterranean weather is coming to us this year, rather than us having to travel to it.

It's just a couple of days, it'll be over before you know it.

On the other hand, I wonder how many people will be "seriously affected" by this, just because they have been conditioned by the media to become 'seriously affected'?

As we've seen in the last couple of years, "the power of suggestion" is particularly strong. "Thousands could die, and YOU could be one of them"

There is at least me, Doc and Fluke if you are reading. It does work.

My mind has been on about emergency situation and I've manifested two ambulances in front of my house today.

I thought someone had a heart attack but they weren't like the normal ambulance van....more of the community type.

Anyway, two showed up and didn't take anybody so I guess they were parking there.

Must be careful what I think....

I am really good at bringing down hails though...... freak hail storm will definitely bring the temperature down. 😁

only way for 100,000s to die is if the power and water go down for the next 2 days.  not likely and if it did happen my sure that a lot of people would be getting their pitchforks and torches out.
