Based on what I see in my local area it's mostly much older folk (most of whom only emerged a week ago from months inside their houses "shielding" and watching the fear porn) donning them. The vast majority of people in their 20s and 30s and the teens around here don't seem to give a shit. On the seafront and shops surrounding it there are often hundreds of people without masks on, if mask wearing became compulsory here are the police going to turn up with hundreds of vans every day to arrest them all for not muzzling up? I doubt they have the resources for that. Policing the mask thing is not as enforceable as they may think, particularly in small towns and villages where there's so few cops available anyway. And while I don't want small and medium sized businesses to be crushed any further, if they don't stand up to the nonsense and exercise some common sense in their establishment then they'll have to accept that consumers with principles are not going to put up with the lunacy and they'll be losing their custom. I have made a concerted effort to avoid all that over the last weeks as they just make me angry with all their brainwashing nonsense at this point. Last night I put on C4 news just for one minute as I flicked thru the channels. They interviewed three Americans re their refusal to wear face masks. Clearly they weren't the most educated of souls but that suited C4 just fine. They made their points then the reporter states with attitidues like this no wonder theres a big spike in the US numbers...……… Disgraceful associative nonsense from C4.
