Everything to do with masks / face coverings

I was reading articles last night and found out that if you have been disabled in the past e.g. had panic attack due to mental/emotional problem.... and you no longer have it but you can still be classed as disabled as far as the Equality Act is concerned. Interesting huh? May be you had something in the past like allergy, asthma etc? Then all you need is a doctor's letter to confirm that you have a history of xyz. This goes for you healthy folks....now you have a proper reason to be exempt. 😉

in the uk you dont need anything from the dr, just say your exempt or buy an exemption lanyard and you dont have to speak to anybody.

Correct. But if you are taking a legal route, you do need to present documents to back up your claim.

Saw this old man at the shop he looked very old and frail and have a terrible cough and guy is walking around in a mask coughing in the mask without putting his hand on his mouth. Putting your hand over your mouth when you cough probably does more or about the same as the mask.

Would be interesting if anyone has complied a list of all the different NHS FOIA emails and that I can BCC asking them about the instances of collapsed lungs over the last 5 years as I would be interested to see if that has increased due to mask wearing.

Just heard that DVSA has sent out an email to all people with booked tests advising them that they will have to state their mask exemption status before their test otherwise they "might" not be able to do their test.

Can't even take a driving test now, what next...

Also my work states that masks must still be worn in communal areas unless you have an exemption and as per government guidance they still not recommending people go in to the office, even though you can go now without a good reason.

More conflicting information, designed to confuse and befuddle people again.

Mask rules on trains, buses, coaches and trams in Birmingham after Freedom Day

https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/mask-rules-trains-buses-coaches-21041541

Quote

Masks will not be mandatory on many buses in the West Midlands from July 19 – while coverings will still be needed on “busy” trains.

The Government has said it will be up to operators to decide whether passengers will be required to wear face coverings from Monday.

Government 'passing the buck'? Or just leaving things 'open to interpretation'?

Quote

National Express said customers will be able to choose whether they wear a mask on West Midlands buses from Monday.

A spokesperson said: "Following changes to Government rules, from Monday July 19, National Express West Midlands customers can choose whether they wear a face covering on public transport.

"It is important that we respect everyone’s right to choose whether to wear a face covering."

National Express West Midlands is the biggest bus operator in this region. Meanwhile, the next biggest operator says this:

Quote

A spokesperson for Diamond Bus said the group would continue to ask customers to wear a mask - but drivers would not be asked to enforce the rule.

They said: "Government guidance still strongly recommends that wearing a face covering in enclosed or busy public spaces is an important factor in protecting yourself and others around you.

"In line with this recommendation, Diamond Bus will respectfully ask that customers continue to protect themselves and others by choosing to wear a face covering onboard unless they are exempt.

"To avoid any confusion or conflict, we will not be asking our drivers to enforce any wearing of face coverings from July 19."

I like National Express' stance on this, and it should be peoples' choice as to whether they continue to wear these coverings or not.

But then on the other hand, the same day this article was originally published on the Birmingham Mail website, West Mids Mayor Andy Street took to Facebook to announce that he 'expected' passengers to continue wearing masks, and that Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) staff would be on-hand at bus stations and busy interchanges to 'hand out face coverings'.

These rules were never enforceable when restrictions were in effect, and to this day to the best of my knowledge I do not recall seeing any article or hearing any news about anybody being successfuly prosecuted for NOT wearing a face covering.

The psychological damage is done, as I predicted some time ago, as soon as the 'mandates' are lifted, people will just continue to wear face masks because that is what they have become accustomed to, used to doing as a force of habit, and they will continue to do so while they are 'afraid' of this phantom menace virus that only exists in the media and in peoples' minds.

Well, i am wondering the same at mine. If they mandate it, do they have a legal right to do so? At the very least i'm going to question this aspect, as i don't think they do.

Actually, I think it's funny. Boris is laughing himself fit to bust.

Boris, Reiner, American Frontline Doctors and all the other are screaming with hysterical laughter.

They did it. They kept everyone quiet, the light at the end of the tunnel - FREEDOM DAY!

Jawelnofine. You have freedom EXCEPT :

You still have to wear a mask

You still have to maintain Social Distancing

You still can't travel

You still have to get "The Jab" and booster shots.

You still can't go to big events.

What's changed, you ask - FUCK ALL!

Now the Government can sit back and so can Reiner. THE PEOPLE demand the restrictions. Not the government. What a bunch of cunts.

Quick! Time for another 'peaceful protest' and a mass march. That'll show 'em we mean business.

You really can't make this up!

The exemption for 'distress' will still apply so in effect anyone is exempt if they wish. Has anyone asked the masked nutters why they have to shove the test swab right through the nasal cavity to the skull and also into the depths of the throat? If this nonsense was as virulent as the fake tests are suggesting, a simple swab of the gum or tongue should suffice. Or does it cease to exist in the mouth and nostrils and somehow leaps out from the cavities without touching the sides?

There will be no return to the old normal.

I think there is also the "up the bum" option too for those extreme covid fetishers out there!

Rarely do I step foot in supermarkets anymore, but I do love going to Asda and people moving out of my way (usually after a dirty look) because I don't wear a mask.

Out of all the suffering I have endured throughout this crisis, one of a few positives I can cite for me has come about from the attempted enforcement of masks.

I was a bit of a pussy I have to admit before this I wouldn't even say boo to a ghost or kill a fly. But I decided to not wear a mask whilst going shopping and the feeling was so strong that I thought I would just have to take the consequences.

I've been challenged by security guards, harrasssed by the police and the public for doing so. And at first I thought I was gonna die when I was confronted by these people. Then over time, something in me just hardened and now I don't care at all and this has filtered into other aspects of my life and it has shown to me very clearly, that deep down inside I am not a pussy and I know who the real pussies are! Those who stand for nothing, those without principles, those that don't care about the welfare of their friends, wives and children.

Scotland goes into level zero tomorrow yet wee Jimmy Krankie insists that mandatory mask wearing will continue for some time to come. What a joke and disgrace this disgusting woman is.

You didn't conform. Kudos. Takes a brave person when 95% or whatever wear masks. One thing I'll miss IS the odd fleeting glimpse of another non-conformer and definitely the defiance in saying "I'm exempt". I'd like to think I'm amongst the most caring people you'd meet, so doing stuff out of respect or care is how I was brought up, but masks are a no-no. If there was a deadly sweeping virus killing swathes of people and masks had any effect, you'd probably find me wearing one, but neither are true.

My work have basically lied by sending us each a letter stating that for now the HSE has directed them ....but on the HSE website they don't even count facemasks as Ppe ......  I think this is where your common purpose and such the like come into play .....the interconnectivity from government to private sector ... Basically top managers and directors making us still wear masks at work
