Exactly as I predicted.

'Why take the risk?' - many Brummies say they will carry on wearing face masks after 'Freedom Day'

The 'selected comments' obviously reflect the level of psychological damage that has been inflicted:

😷😷😷😷😷

😷😷😷😷

I've never worn one and don't wear a lanyard.

My wife doesn't wear one either and in supermarkets we rarely used to see other people's birth faces.

I'm pleased to report that in the last month, in the area we live in,  the amount of individuals not bothering with muzzles in supermarkets has soared!

I love it.

I'm still seeing far, far too many muzzled wankers. We can't relax yet.

Same here, though I don't frequent any 'big supermarkets' myself, round by me there seems to be more people going 'maskless' already. And the chap who runs one of the local convenience stores rarely wears his now.

Still quite a few muzzled on the bus though, but again I'm seeing more fellow maskless passengers recently.

Apparently the Stanford study that was cited has been retracted for the following reasons :-

The Editorial Committee concluded that the author’s hypothesis is misleading on the following basis:

1. A broader review of existing scientific evidence clearly shows that approved masks with correct certification, and worn in compliance with guidelines, are an effective prevention of COVID-19 transmission.

2. The manuscript misquotes and selectively cites published papers. References #16, 17, 25 and 26 are all misquoted.

3. Table 1. Physiological and Psychological Effects of Wearing Facemask and Their Potential Health Consequences, generated by the author. All data in the table is unverified, and there are several speculative statements.

4. The author submitted that he is currently affiliated to Stanford University, and VA Palo Alto Health Care System. However, both institutions have confirmed that Dr Vainshelboim ended his connection with them in 2016.

A subsequent internal investigation by the Editor-in-Chief and the Publisher have determined that this article was externally peer reviewed but not with our customary standards of rigor prior to publication. The journal has re-designed its editorial and review workflow to ensure that this will not happen again in future.

Lancashire county council now want you to carry on wearing masks after 19th July, and for different viruses unrelated to convid as well.....

https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/news/details/?Id=PR21/0168

"We must also remember that our children are not vaccinated. While the virus has not posed a significant health risk to children, it has had a massive impact on their education. This has been worse for schools in areas of high levels of community transmission.

"It is also important that as long as there are high levels of the virus in our communities, that we continue to use common sense and take extra steps when appropriate. We have got into the habit of taking a face mask wherever we go and let us not drop this habit now. Soon it won't be illegal to forego a mask in enclosed public spaces such as on buses or trains – but that doesn't mean you shouldn't.

"My advice to you is to continue to wear a mask in those circumstances. This is not only important to prevent further transmission of COVID, but also keeping us safe from other winter bugs like the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) that we are seeing now."

So they admit convid is not dangerous to children, but will probably want them vaccinated any way.

Also apparently it keeps you safe from another virus. No evidence or data provided to back this statement up at all.

What is respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)?

https://www.cdc.gov/rsv/index.html

"Respiratory syncytial (sin-SISH-uhl) virus, or RSV, is a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms. Most people recover in a week or two, but RSV can be serious, especially for infants and older adults. RSV is the most common cause of bronchiolitis (inflammation of the small airways in the lung) and pneumonia (infection of the lungs) in children younger than 1 year of age in the United States."

So it produces mild cold like symptoms that people recover from, but it can be serious for older adults...

Hmmm, sounds a little bit like convid.

Also if it's a winter bug, then why are we seeing it now? mask wearing?🤔

I don't really want your advice thanks.

My work has just sent a letter out saying that the HSE are directing our company to carry on wearing masks after July 19th....

Does anyone know if this is lawful Irfan they do it?

No one has ever been forced to wear a mask; all who have done so have chosen to of their own free will. People can make all the excuses they want but that's the fact; if someone has worn a mask they have done so out of choice. I have two friends who are health care workers who haven't worn a mask from the first. Both stood their ground against the threats made against them by their employers, both went to HR etc and in both cases both were successful and their employers backed down. Some have the confidence, conviction and courage to stand up for their rights and some (many) don't.

Just say you are exempt.

So where is the petition to STOP the bullshit?

Makes me laugh that anyone can possibly still believe a petition is going to achieve anything!!! Even if a petition gets enough signatures all it actually achieves is a brief consideration/discussion by a bunch of psychopathic, corrupt liars otherwise known as parliament. The time for petitions is long past.

You probably won’t find it at Change.org; pack of lefty libtards.

Exactly,  you sign a petition so what , do something for yourself , we have a bunch of zealots in town so I rang up the anti discrimination dept of the gov found out the law so  any bastard that refuses to serve me for not signing in or wearing a mask is ratshit ,went shopping last Friday guess who was the only one in the entire supermarket that didn't sign in or ware a mask , I'm polite to the shop attendants because their only doing there job  but I let them know I'm not playing

It seems to me that every one pisses and moans about it but doses nothing because they don't like confrontation, it's obviously easier to comply, well I don't like confrontation either but I like getting screwed in the ass even less. When members of the public ask where  my mask is  my standard answer is I left it at home in a box marked mind your own business
