I have mine in my purse I got it at the start of all this, but was putting off using it. May be might have to start using it now, I have sinus blockages and have been seeing specialists this past year, so im exempt anyway but soon we are going to need papers next to show we are covid free before entry. I can see it coming.

That doesn't surprise me that Asda are the first to start this. Owned by Walmart aren't they.

In some better news, some of the people in my workplace are coming around more. The idea of losing their job has started something. I definitely felt a change today.

That's good news more people are seeing some sense. Fingers crossed, the more draconian and ridiculous these rules get hopefully more will see this for what it really is.

My dad told me the convid Marshalls are going to get £600 a week. It sounds a lot to me. But don't know where he got the information from. True or not I don't know. But i think theyd do it for any amount it gives them power over people and authority. I'd rather be on the bones of my arse than do that job.

I don't know but I  imagine he got a bit too knowledgeable with the staff?

He says "it's not a law" so he knows  the score.

well it's not an arrestable offence unless he was being disorderly and giving the police aggro etc, otherwise he could sue them

Aah thanks for that, but he knows what the masks symbolise, and at 76 hes set in his ways. I think once they mentioned a ventilator he was off like a shot anyway. It's not life threatening but more pain and discomfort he said he'd live with it, he doesn't trust them now after what research he's done and spoken to different people about what they've seen going on. But never know what might happen he might get it done, all I know is theyve been back in touch with him but not sure what's happening.

@Jaquiby not surprised at his reaction to the mention of a ventilator, perfectly normal.  Could any alternative treatments help with the pain and discomfort ie osteopathy, herbalism etc ?  Good that the hospital have contacted him, they must realise that so many elderly will be terrified of going into hospital so hopefully it's meant with kindness.

I know we are within our rights not to have to say why we are exempt in shops etc. Does an employer have the right to know why you are exempt?

i think it covers you if you say so.

It will probably go on your record.

They have a duty of care. however they also have a duty of care for others, may put you on other work

Thank you. They'd be no other work option. They have introduced it at my work from tomorrow. I said I'm exempt. They asked me why, I said I'm within my rights not to say. They've not got back to me yet. If they insist I'll ask for the paperwork stating this. So I'll see what they say to that. I will never put a mask on come what may.

Hi all. Has anyone got any resources on the information regarding face masks and the science behind it? Or if they are any good and adverse effects? Search engines are awful these days.

I have checked vernon colemans website but cant find any links regarding this.

I heard they get £11 an hour so if they put the hours in it is quite possible.

I object very much to the mask. If you are carrying these injected viruses and you wear a mask and you allow yourself to be under stress and the fear they have driven into us, you can activate these viruses with things like the stress of not having a job. These dormant viruses will wake up in yourself. [A dormant virus is not expressed.] You are actually re-infecting yourself over and over with a mask.

You are not making somebody else sick. You are making yourself sick. Especially those with asthma. And those with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.  And those living in pollution.

There are a lot of co-factors to disease development. Wearing a mask will kill more people.

We act as if: ‘Everybody has to wear a mask or you will make everybody sick.’

Healthy people do not make people sick. Healthy people do not express these viruses. I guarantee you that I am not expressing this virus.

Hi Fluke some links below

Most  links are from Principia Scientific but they all link to original articles on other sites.

I dont like the idea of wearing masks - I like to read/react to peoples faces when I communicate with them -  there is less empathy, (they desensitise! & we lose identity)  breathing is a  very  effective way of detoxifying  - you've smelt the breath of a heavy drinker the day after!  bacteria &fungus build up on the masks - study I heard or read somewhere showed up to 80 different colonies!

UK Column probably has some info too.
