The reshuffling of National Guard forces reflects the 2018 National Defense Strategy (NDS) that outlined the Pentagon’s shift away from counterterrorism to “great power competition.” A military confrontation with Russia or China, or “peer competitors” as US officials call them, would require much greater manpower than counterterrorism operations in the Middle East and North Africa.

 

“When you look at the National Defense Strategy and competition among near-peer competitors, peer competitors — that great power competition, there is a potential for large-scale combat operations … it could actually be division level fights,” Lt. Gen. Daniel Hokanson, the director of the National Guard, said in an interview.

 

Actions and rhetoric coming from the Trump administration reflect the strategy outlined in the NDS. Although US military operations in the Middle East show no sign of slowing down, there has been an increased military presence in the South China Sea to confront Beijing.

 

While the administration announced troop cuts from Germany, the US has also established a permanent military presence in Poland, and more troops might deploy to Baltic states, closer to Russia’s border.

it shows that the US are ready for war and practically started it already, and the whole COVID thing seems to be not even a pretext but a mere DIVERSION for the public... the 'coronavirus pandemic' is cited in the video's comment so it stays 'someway' closely related...

It's disheartening when you go out and there are compliant masketeers everywhere, proud to be doing their 'civic duty' but it is empowering to be in a minority of sanity, without one.

COVID being a diversion makes these masketeers bravely enforcing the mask on their fellow citizens the biggest idiots ever since it comes in addition to their own blind and careless compliance.. authorities may pick some reluctant once a while and for the example but we all should just not wear these masks or mind about any other covoid rule and be mass protesting against the coming war instead, but it shows how long the way is from the current situation to that responsible yet 'utopian' attitude... today's people are fully remote controlled by the media...

I've been walking around shops with no mask, went in Iceland today and hardly anyone else wearing masks. The odd couple walking around with masks. 70% without masks. No altercations.

 

Worst I had was walking around Tesco when they had the 1 way system, and some high horse busy body woman said "you're going the wrong way!"  That made me more f'ing irate than anything. Some other being telling me how and where to walk. Get f*cked.

 

No time at all for those busy body types.

Can I ask what part of the UK you are in? Trying to see where there is more resistance, especially as my family (in Hillingdon area) seem to be surrounded by mask wearers everywhere. Today my sister was yet again the only person unmasked in Sainsburys. She hasn’t had any problems, but everyone seems to be obeying the rules, they started putting masks on even before it became mandatory.

Snap, went to Sainsbury's today on my own, was the only one in there too, unmuzzled. Wasn't nice, but I did it. Felt kind of proud of myself. Your right they have a choice, they've chosen to have their lives controlled.

but they don't wear it at home because the microbe has a legal respect for private property...

 

We got to bear a true terror operation that's intensifying and it's actually to divert attention from the imminent war for world domination so that the current governments got enough time to execute their plan… it's like they're fighting against the clock and as by random you got the US election that's imminent too…

I was trying to get some sense into my sister earlier, she asked me.. "Have you worn a mask? its horrible"

I say "No, I don't chose to do that.".. . " But you must, you get fined/won't be served/you can't be exempt/etc."

 

I explained the disability act, patient confidence and sent her the pic of the print out cards..

why do news people still don't wear masks in their TV studios ?... are they immunized or something ? 

 

TV studios are public spaces so we people should demand that news speakers wear them too because they're showing the BAD example !

 

if all TV news speakers and guests wear masks then maybe I'll believe that there is a pandemic... maybe...

Well at least you tried your best, and didnt pressurize her, we can only do so much, but in the end its up to us. Hopefully her eyes will be open soon to whats really goong on, fingers crossed. And it isn't easy to stand up to this sometimes, far easier for most people to just put one on and be done with it. I was actually shaking inside yesterday,  I'm a right wimp. But once I got out, I was like yeah I can do it.

I warned her before not to take the gates vaccine.."but we all had vaccines when were  kids, the only way out now is track trace and vaccine."..

Actually I am close to giving up on her, she was told now it's up to her..she is 55 not a child.

She's same age as me I'm 55 this year. Sometimes we have to let them go, and look after ourselves, and you can take a horse to water but can't make it drink.

I put my earphones on in the supermarket, listening to annies song by john denver, lol, always makes me happy, heart was pumping too, got a few looks, but breathed a sigh of relief wen i got out. Who would of thought a matter of months ago we would be putting up with this tyranny, to go in a blooming shop. It's crazy, utter madness, tptb are total psychopathic evil lunatics.

Same for me and I was only walking backwards for a meter to grab something I'd forgotten and got yelled at by a jobsworth even though there was nobody else around. When I argued it he said "it's to keep everybody safe". To keep who safe? The air? The cheese I'd forgotten to grab? It made me so angry I didn't go back to Tesco until they scrapped that ridiculous system.
