Practically speaking, to combat the mask shit people should just buy a card and lanyard from the Hidden Disabilities website declaring themselves exempt on health grounds. Pick a medical condition if you want to be covered if asked, but I think most shop assistants would rather not push for intimate details or invite confrontation unless they're a nasty jobsworth. Most Brits want to avoid confrontation. There are disability discrimination laws still and forcing someone to do something which compromises their health falls into that category. In terms of track and trace or asking for your address to enter an establishment, don't take a mobile phone with you or just buy a ridiculously old phone which doesn't have bluetooth or internet. If they want you to write your address down give them a false one. How the hell are they going to know it's fake if there's no digital verification?  There are ways around all this shit, the cabal are trying to take the piss out of us so respond by taking the piss out of them.

Most Brits want to avoid confrontation.

I think this is why they try to take the piss out of us and succeed, from youth we get told "don't cause any trouble."

My friends tried to get me to go to the pub when it reopened, I plain refused to go, I'm not giving my name and address out to strangers like that.

We need to develop some anger again as a people & stop being so bloody passive.

Little did I realise at the time that the elite were going to provide a verifiable means to prove the point.

 

I don't know what the answer is to compulsory mask wearing. They seem to have gone crazy in places like UK, Spain and parts of the US.

Here in Ireland there seems to be little mask wearing, especially in rural areas, and I get the impression a large chunk of people won't comply even if the are made compulsory.

I know it's difficult for some people to do, but I did warn people here weeks ago to "stock up" if possible.I might want to go shopping tomorrow but I don't have to.

I could probably survive for literally months without going to a shop if I needed to.

The only thing I would say is if they have to don a mask to go shopping, buy a shitload of stuff if possible that will last so you only have to wear a mask once a month or whatever.

Obviously it's a different matter if you have to wear a mask for work or public transport and you'll have to come up with your own solution.

But there is some ridiculous bollocks making the rounds too, like compulsory mask wearing in the home. Can anyone tell me how they propose to enforce that?

On April 3 the CDC released new guidance stating we should all wear cloth face coverings while out in public.

This new guidance is not to suggest that a cloth face mask will protect you from contracting the virus. Instead, it is intended to protect others from you should you be infected but not symptomatic.

I have a rather nice Merino neck warmer, purple one, looks cool and scrunches up, Buff Merino make.  It's ideal for coastal areas where the wind and cold can get up.

I was thinking of a Russian GP5 or GP6 respirator would be in order and maybe with a T shirt printed with something like "I don't fancy your chances with that paper mask".

A most excellent choice.  I would of thought that the Groucho Marx novelty mask would be quite adequate on its own, as surely the COVID would be drawn into and neturalised by the synthetic polyester moustache by the static electric charge - blind them with science.

I'm thinking of going for the plain old 'I have a reasonable excuse' card which is 100% true. My reasonable excuse is that they don't work, they are bad for your health and knowing this would cause me to suffer great distress if forced to wear one.

I briefly considered one of these from ebay, but it still feels like giving in - It feels really important to make a stand on this.

 

 

Today I went for acupuncture for the first time since the lock down and masks were supposed to be worn. I didn't wear one and no one said anything to me. Better still, virtually every person I saw was mask free, even when I glanced into a hairdresser i was pleasantly surprised to see no one wearing masks in there whilst hair was being cut! In fact my father just went out and got his hair cut with no appointment and no mask the other day, I think it was a Turkish barber - those guys couldn't give a shit lol. Might go see them myself later, make sure to reward any business that doesn't go along with this and we might get some where. We also have a local pub which is running as normal, no booking required just wander in as normal, walk to the bar to order your drink and pay with cash - lovely. The only Covid measure they are taking is a half hearted addition of a bottle of hand sanitiser near the door which no one asks you to use :)

 

This one looks good too if you really have to wear one.....
