This thing with Merc recalling a million cars due to some braking fault. Cars as far back as 2004?

Anyone else think there is some other ulterior motive for wanting so many old cars back to be "checked"?

(I don't have a Merc so no personal interest in it, just wondering about the agenda).

Sorry to drag-up an old post in the News section, but there's one story that's gone very quiet lately, and that's the fitting of speed limiters/governors on all new cars sold in the EU from July/August 2022. As far as I know, this is still going ahead - and this includes the UK, despite Brexit.

Here's a link to a Guardian story via archive.org (as the stinky Guardian have removed the article from their website):

https://web.archive.org/web/20190327025720/https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/mar/27/all-new-uk-cars-to-have-speed-limiters-by-2022-under-eu-plans

Infowars picked up on the story back in May, but there's been very little coverage in the corporate media:

https://www.infowars.com/posts/speed-limiters-will-be-equipped-in-all-new-eu-cars-beginning-next-month/

Finally, this from Autotrader in March 2022:

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/content/news/mandatory-speed-limiters-on-uk-cars-from-2022

Maybe the Mercedes recall has something to do with this - just a thought.

edit: my mistake, the Guardian article is still live (no need to access it via archive.org):

Or the fittinng of 'pay to drive' monitors that are perhaps initially passive but on a given signal could be turned on in unison similar to a tiny gps unit that, unless you were incredibly skilled would never find

Hmmm so we've had the attack on men the past decade or more. Seems more and more they are going after the women next.....

School bans girls from wearing skirts under new ‘gender-neutral’ rules

Tiverton High School in Devon made the change to uniform policy without consulting parents or pupils

Its not that uncommon for a manufacturer to recall cars made years before if its a safety critical issue. my old Nissan X-Trail was recalled back in 2020 due to an airbag fault and that car was made in 2002.

Very much so....female sexuality and identity is under far more attack with the Trans lobby, the agenda definitely seeks to undermine "what a woman can be" in all ways. Like you say, they spent 20 years feminising and "detoxifying" masculinity so we have a generation of weak minded hipster blokes, and now they're going for the females.

Yeah. And I suspect this new age wave of feminism could be part of it. Teaching young women they can and SHOULD be like men. And to almost disregard a regular family life and raising children. As if that's almost derogatory........

Agree, although the point is whether recalls are being used as a pretext for something else, perhaps nefarious (or at least some activity the industry/government wouldn't want to do out in the open). I doubt it personally, a recall is likely just a recall, but who knows.

The EU/UK new car speed limiter mandate should be big news, not least as it's due to come into effect in July/August, but it's been kept on the down-low.

Proud Boys storm drag queen story hour for kindergarteners at a San Francisco library: Right-wing extremists scream homophobic and transphobic threats at host

A group of men allegedly part of the right-wing extremist group Proud Boys stormed a Drag Queen story time at a San Francisco library shouting homophobic and transphobic threats at the event's host. Several of the men wore shirts emblazoned with assault rifles as they barged into the library around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday where Bay Area drag queen Panda Dulce was reading to preschoolers and kindergarteners during one of the library's Pride Month events. Kyle Chu, also known as drag queen Panda Dulce, who hosted the story hour,  posted on Instagram that the group disrupted the event, shouting 'tranny' and 'pedophile.' Deputies responded to the San Lorenzo Library following reports of a disturbance, Lt. Ray Kelly with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. An 'active hate crime investigation' is now underway, as well as an investigation into the 'annoying and harassing of children.' No arrests have been made, no one was physically harmed, the sheriff's office added.

that drag queen has a disgusting rap video of themself singing and making gestures with a knife with satanic imagery in the background which culminates with them saying that children can suck her dick

so really the police should be investigating the drag queen and the library for hosting them

Police swarm Sutton Coldfield town centre after disorder and 'gunshots'

Quote

Police are investigating after reports of disorder and "gunshots" saw a main road in Sutton Coldfield closed off. The incident saw Queen Street and a number of roads shut around the town centre.

A police cordon was in place this morning (June 18) with motorists and pedestrians being redirected. West Midlands Police have confirmed they were called to the town centre in the early hours of this morning to investigate disorder and reported gunshots.

A spokesperson said: "Road closures are in place in Sutton Coldfield while we investigate disorder on The Parade in the early hours of this morning. A member of the public reported hearing gunshots and officers arrived at the scene within minutes.

"We are speaking to witnesses and looking at CCTV of the area. One man reported being punched in the face however he did not require hospital treatment. No other injuries have been reported."

From: https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/police-swarm-sutton-coldfield-town-24261096

Now 'disorder' could be just about anything.

As for the 'reported gunshots', I've mentioned before about these pricks who razz around in their souped up Hondas and VWs, with their engines/exhausts making those really loud and annoying 'banging' noises. Back in the day that kind of noise would indicate that your engine was 'backfiring' and was in need of tuning/repair, nowadays its done deliberately for attention-seeking purposes.

Now I wasn't in Sutton Coldfield last night and didn't see what happened, but I'm willing to bet there were a number of 'badboys' up to no good, racing around in their clapped-out bangers, and that noise could be easily mistaken for the sound of gunshots (maybe that's the purpose?). And the 'disorder' was likely these badboy gangs squaring off against each other, or harassing/intimidating innocent members of the public, just enjoying a lovely balmy evening.

The truth is that unless you were there, we'll never likely know what happened, and these local journalists won't do any 'investigating' themselves, as all they can do now is just copy out what has been 'tweeted' on social media.

'The job of comedy is to offend': Rowan Atkinson says comedians should be allowed to make jokes about 'absolutely anything' as he rails against cancel culture

The Mr Bean star, 67, said the purpose of comedy was to 'have the potential to offend' and argued that humour is made to make someone look 'ridiculous'.

For goodness sake! I remember recognising that as cuckoo spit as a kid and though I knew it was nothing to do with cuckoos, but it's never been dangerous.

They must be looking for excuses to stamp out growing veg, like he suggests.

Where's Alan Titchmarsh and Monty telling everyone how ridiculous this claim is? They'd better step up!
