House of Lords today - Economy and the Cost of Living

Q: Can you tell us the cost of the other measures announced today and how those are going to be funded?

A: The total cost of the package is around £15 billion, that will be part funded by the levy, and the rest will be funded by borrowing.

Q: The chancellors statement says the levy raises £5.2 billion of revenue and it avoids having to increase our debt burden further? I'm slightly puzzled?

A: Um, In terms of uh, the other spending it will be paid for by um, borrowing uh, but it is a one off cost.

Football is rigged these days (not that it wasn't in the past). Player misses penalty in 2-2 draw and sets up grand finale for the last day. Favourites for the title go 0-2 down at home and come back to win 3-2. Scripted? Not half.

Hard to script so many people and keep them quiet though? Unless they're all freemasons now, and they were made to fuck a pig on camera or something.

There must be so much caught on camera and microphone.

I often wonder if the ball is remote controlled in football, and especially snooker. You gotta wonder, it seems it would be so easy, and how few would need to know? You don't hear a lot about chips in clothing, or for goal line technology for instance. It's interesting to be sceptical 😃

Juventus might disagree with you there. Rigging games is as old as the hills and you don't need mass participation.

Yep, but the evidence needs to come to light for me to believe it happens on a mass scale. I imagine match fixing is quite hard to pull off well, especially at the highest levels where it's more scrutinised, though some VAR decisions really make me wonder.  But to change a whole game with that many people involved seems implausible. I would not be surprised in the least if i found out that Pep, Klopp and other top managers were masons/cultists of some type and are there to push agendas as well as coach, so they could influence things under duress, but everyone couldn't be in on it because it would leak, and so you've got too many unknown variables for me.

If we find out football has been a con for x amount of years i couldnt care less anyway, snooker's more my game...

That is pretty hilarious. I'd love to know a bit more of your rationale for thinking snooker could be remote controlled.

Yep a good example. I think most managers now are probably masons/cultists, so they may be able to influence things and keep it quiet, but there's always the unknowns of players/staff not in on it that could obstruct any plan. Who knows? Don't even care that much as it died a death to me in 2020 with everything that went on. It's been a globalist vehicle for decades, but never so overtly as now.

Thanks for your reply. I love professional snooker, there's something uniquely relaxing to me about it, including getting to know the players over the years, the things they say, the old favourites, the new-comers, the venues ...

Watching it over lockdown was disturbing though, and an eye opener, along with some noted comments from the players and commentators. Trying to read what they really thought.

Sorry, just to answer briefly for now - I often have a curious sence of wonder ... if it's possible to do this or that, about lots of things in life, and in snookier it's sometimes just that, added to the astonishment of .... how did that not go in ?!

Ok, I know that's also part of the wonder of sport 😃

I don't *think* snooker is manipulated...not overall..though who knows if there are hidden magnets under the cloth or the temp of the tables is changed at various times to affect play. A few players have thrown matches, but it's rare. I do find some of the "amazing comebacks" a bit suspcious, especially of late, but perhaps players do genuinely switch off and lose focus when they're almost over the winning line.

Football's a fucking joke...Klopp saying they will win the CL "for Ukraine". WTF is he on about? The Daily Mail bum boy Martin Samuel called it classy...more like crass. Is Liverpool related to the Yewcrane? Do they have a captain from there? Is Klopp from there? Are they playing anywhere near the place? No. So WTF is that twerp on about, other than virtue-signalling and pushing his paymasters agenda.

So pleased they lost.

I have very mixed feelings on all of these things. Certainly I can appreciate the not caring that much, sports have been increasingly stolen from us, the people for years. it was sickening to see what happened with no crowds, then limited crowds, masked crowds, kneeling, elbow rubs and hugging ... the hypocrisy, the torture of it all. The open admitting of fake crowd cheering. And in snooker the process with fake clapping; it was sickening, dispicable. How are we supposed to appreciate a cheer now when we don't know if it's dubbed.

I'm interested in the psychology of it all too though. Snooker players and commentators talking about the exchange of energy, and how the crowd need the players, and the players need the crowd. And the stress of covid security / restrictions, and how that effected play.

I missed the sight of crowds faces and seeing their enjoyment. And I noticed every time whether a player chose to shake hands or not. One player recently did the elbows with his opponent, but shook the referees hand.

I've more to add when I get a mo.

It's nice to share some thoughts.

A West Virginia woman is being hailed a hero for using her legally-owned pistol to shoot and kill a criminal armed with an AR-15 after he opened fire at a graduation party last week.

The woman has not been named by police and she has not come forward to identify herself since the incident on Wednesday, just a day after the massacre in Uvalde.

The gunman was Dennis Butler, a 37-year-old criminal who had already been cautioned for speeding near children when he drove to the graduation party that was being held outside at the Vista View Apartment Complex in Charleston, West Virginia

He had been told to stop driving so quickly while children were nearby. He drove away then returned with an AR-style assault rifle and opened fire.

The woman was among guests at the outdoor party. When she saw Butler open fire, she immediately pulled out her weapon and shot at him.

Actors, musical artists and sports players have all allowed themselves to become used to promote political viewpoints. There's no end to the propaganda.

That taking the knee crap was sickening, as was the strident urging of celeb's (none of whom were ever 'celebrated' in my home) pushing the toxic injections.

There was endless praise on the local radio channel last week about some young professional footballer coming out as gay. WTF do I care who this boy is having sexual intercourse with! I don't insist on a round of bloody applause for my heterosexuality. It's nobody's business. But the message was how very brave and wonderful and marvellous the lad is because he's publically queer.

Glad I bought a camping stove when sales were on & plenty of gas cannisters.

Will stock up on solar lamps & torch batteries.

If they turn the power off we'll be needing to look after the old folk who might be unprepared.
