RobSS
When we bombed Iraq, I'm sure a lot of Iraqis thought that our culture hated them. The truth is though that many ordinary people on both sides have nothing to with the crimes and terrorism. As usual, ordinary people, no matter which culture they belong to, are victims Edited November 8, 2021 by RobSS

EnigmaticWorld
08/11/2021 Austria produces educational video on preparing for a blackout https://rmx.news/austria/austria-produces-educational-video-on-blackout-preparations/ Coming fresh on the heels of a similar video by the German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Austrian Armed Forces (Bundesheer) has issued a four-minute blackout preparedness video both advising the population on what to do in such cases and what the Austrian authorities are doing in preparation. The Bundesheer official homepage has also put out an extensive advisory page on what to do during a general, prolonged blackout. In this case, many of the basic necessities will be inaccessible or unable to work, including gas stations, traffic lights, rail traffic, elevators and escalators, and several means of public transportation. In addition, there will be no landline telephone available, it will be difficult to charge mobile phones, internet access will be cut off, and ATMs will be shut down. The Bundesheer also complied a list of emergency supplies, which include candles, blankets, medicines, water, food gas stove, torches, wind-up or battery-powered radios and cash. According to the video, the kit must provide for at least two weeks. Everyone is also advised to take a first aid course and develop a plan that provides a meeting point if the children are not at home. They also recommend that everyone share resources with their neighbors. “No one knows exactly what will happen during a power outage. However, it is certain that we will not return quickly to our usual routine,” the statement said. The title of the army video, “Blackout”, is certain to ensure traction at least in German-speaking parts of Europe, as it is the same as the title of a disaster thriller by Austrian author Marc Elsberg published in 2012 and since translated to 15 languages. Based on the author’s extensive research of official Austrian, German and Italian disaster scenarios, the book chronicles the fictional story of a month-long collapse of the European electric grid. I was looking at the till at my local corner shop the other day - money would be useless if the grid went down (unless the shopkeeper was prepared to break with till protocol). I keep a house float of £500 for such an event but am less confident as to its usefulness, having seen the hoops (including a code input) that a shopkeeper has to go through to get a till working. All receipts of money and proof of transaction, including change, are electronically processed via the on-board chip. Obviously, it is the same in supermarkets. Food and other basic things would probably be more useful, but I would just need to make sure that I would have enough until the power comes back. Not sure what you do if it's going to be down for months, or forever. It's only rainwater and whatever you can grow or forage, I guess. Not sure if I would trust any disaster relief goons.

You talk bollocks sometimes too but I don't complain, but when I used the word "we", I was using it rhetorically. Banding about the term "culture" and saying that "culture hates us" is just away of demonising a culture. In reality, life is far more complex than that because not everyone in that culture does hate us and there aspects of that culture that may be good, just as there are good and bad aspects of our own culture. Yes, I added bold enlarged letters for added rhetorical emphasis. It's so obvious that we didn't bomb Iraq, but it's also obvious that another culture doesn't hate us also. I noticed that since this discussion, Fluke has edited his/her post to: "people from a culture that hate us". That's much better and more accurate than stating that, "That culture hates us". Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said last month via Belarusian Telegraph Agency, BelTA., that World Bank and IMF offered him a bribe of $940 million USD in the form of “Covid Relief Aid.” In exchange for $940 million USD, the World Bank and IMF demanded that the President of Belarus: • imposed “extreme lockdown on his people” • force them to wear face masks • impose very strict curfews • impose a police state • crash the economy Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko refused the offer and stated that he could not accept such an offer and would put his people above the needs of the IMF and World Bank. This fact can be verified using most search engines. https://fort-russ.com/2020/09/belarusian-president-lukashenko-says-imf-offered-a-billion-usd-bribe-to-impose-covid-19-lockdown/ Why would he need to waste his money flying them in from Africa and the ME when there's millions being shipped across the Med. by NGOs. lol They hate him as they hate Orbán and Polish leaders and of course that nasty old Putin. Yes, we (family of six) have enough food to ration for ourselves and a few neighbours for around a month. The only purpose that would serve is as a filler for that period of time - and would likely get stolen by desperate people anyway, if we ventured outside and looked remotely fed. It is merely a preparation that is marginally better than doing nothing at all, but is nothing to hang my hat on. I'm also guerilla growing natural painkillers this March at diverse spots (papaver somniferum) but that's more two fingers up to Big Pharma than anything else - my 'doctor' refuses to prescribe anything for acute or chronic pain due to my former heroin habit. Almost two DECADES clean and still judged according to my past Identity as a junkie.
