why havent they culled us all yet?

Of course, we will eat the mice, but only after we have exploited their labours. We are nice to the mice because it is intelligent to be so.

See, if we talk sweetly, they will come in droves. If we hiss, they will run and we will have to chase after them, an unnecessary expenditure of calories."

Southwark: Two men killed as four people stabbed in central London

Quote

Two men have died after four people were stabbed in Southwark, the Metropolitan Police said.

Police were called at 1pm on Monday after multiple people were assaulted at a business premises in Long Lane, SE1.

A 58-year-old man died at the scene in central London and three others were rushed to hospital.

A 27-year-old man later died from his stab wounds.

It seems crazy to me that this story and others like it now only make the local news.

No description of the attacker provided other than he is in his thirties and in hospital with life threatening injuries.

UK households could face VPN 'ban' after use skyrockets following Online Safety Bill

Labour could ban the use of Virtual Private Networks after use skyrocketed in recent days.

So how do those "work from homies" log in to their corporate networks securely without a VPN? Someone hasn't a clue...

Yeah well. My friend did chemo and radiation and died. My mum did chemo and radiation and died. My dad did not do chemo and radiation and died. Death and taxes...

Oh, they 'have a clue' alright - the 'big corporate' VPNs that companies pay huge sums of money for will no doubt end up 'exempt'.

This will just be about targetting the VPNs aimed at 'normal users'.

But even so, I don't entirely trust these VPNs, they have records of all their users and no doubt they are still 'monitoring and logging' whatever traffic goes through their own network, so I don't believe you're as 'secure and private' as you think you may be.

One MSM "news" outlet said the attacked was a "foreign national".

Loads of ppl have the chemo and die. Often in even more pain than they'd otherwise be, I've heard.

MSM desperately looking to push the Anti-Vax BS.

Yeah, I know this is a typical 'click-bait' MSM headline, but still...

Ryanair customer 'fuming' after discovering £16 fare didn't include one thing

Quote

A UK tourist was left "fuming" after realising his £16.99 Ryanair flight did not have one thing. Graham White, 48, regularly travels to Alicante in Benidorm, however, during his first time with the airline on July 25 he was left perplexed when he found out the flight did not have Wi-Fi.

Despite the ticket being an incredible bargain, he said him and his friend were left furious about the missing wireless connection, posting a video to his 75,000 TikTok followers. He said: "My mate thought WiFi was included. My mate couldn't believe [that it wasn't]. I even asked [the flight attendant] if the pilot would let him use his hotspot."

In the clip published on the social media platform Graham could be seen asking a member of the cabin crew why the internet was not working.

from: https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/travel/ryanair-customer-fuming-after-discovering-32160777

Now you'll have to forgive me as I haven't flown on a plane for about six years now, but since when did 'wi-fi on a plane' become 'a thing'? 🤔

Last time I was on a plane, the instructions were to turn off all mobile devices, or put them into 'airplane mode', which turns off all the radio functions, including mobile data, Bluetooth and, erm, Wi-Fi. Reasoning being that phone and laptop radio signals 'interfere with the plane's electronics'. 🫣

Quote

The budget carrier does permit individuals to use electrics but reminded travellers over the importance of putting airplane mode on your advice.

It explains: "You may use your laptop, tablet, smartphone and other electronic devices on board Ryanair flights. Your device will need to be switched to flight mode for the entire flight duration."

If your 'advice' (I think they mean 'device') is in 'airplane mode', it cannot connect to a wi-fi network. So is this guy just a complete ignoramus, or is there something I am missing?

Perhaps because there is no internet while up in the sky? 🤪

Quote

Others pointed out how Wi-Fi is not standard at all during short haul flights, with Ryanair's website actually stating in regards to the internet connection: "No. Currently, we do not offer Wi-Fi on our flights. Sorry."

Oh.

Sorry for wasting everyone's time by quoting from some bullshit MSM article about some twonk on Tiktok. But seriously, can some people not survive for a couple of hours without Wi-Fi and internet while on a flight? Then again, you could ask the same question about those who feel the need to be eating or snacking while on a plane.

You don't need anything for a "corporate" VPN, The client is built-in to the OS and the server end is built-in to the server (apart from some SSL VPNs - and many businesses use OpenVPN as the client for SSL same as home users). I use the (incoming) VPN endpoints built into my router and Synology box when I'm away. The only reason you need a different/special client is to use someone else's proxy server to spoof your location.

Yes, I just had to use a VPN to cancel a paid subscription to a site that no longer allows UK IP addresses to log in. But you can't cancel your recurring payment if you can't log in and the support doesn't care - they hoped I wouldn't have to close my bank account in order to stop the payment. Pfft!

Hate to give these chumps too much credit, but I wonder if it's a sort of "flushing out" operation to find out who either uses VPNs in general or who is looking at adult stuff (which, if an adult you're entitled to). Surprised so many ppl went immediately to whatever place has these VPNs and bought/downloaded them. Total giveaway.

Probably almost everyone who works from home or from a remote site uses a VPN. I have connections for several clients and my own servers on my laptops and have had for years. But getting round the stupid Act to cancel a payment is the only time I've had to use one to disguise my location

Thanks for the explanation, so that type of VPN access will be considered 'safe' then.

So it is those who use the paid-service likes of NordVPN etc, that will be targeted, because that type of VPN is what people use to 'spoof' their location and bypass IP geolocation restrictions.

I think there is an element of that. I recall there was a time when 'certain content creators' on Youtube were being paid to 'promote' VPN services such as NordVPN that I mentioned above. It was sold as keeping your internet activity 'private', but at the end of the day, you're just funnelling your internet traffic through their servers, and I guess this is still all being logged and monitored somewhere, and can all be linked and traced back to your user account with them, as well as your own IP address which is connecting to the VPN.
