Hence the "miracle survivor".

Just more psy-op games.

Numerology and astrology is the bedrock of Indian Culture i think?

Watching BBC news ( I know, I know) and they are banging on about 'sole survivor' even sending someone to interview his family. Seems weird how much they are focusing on him and repeating his name all of the time.

Thank God for Musk and Neuralink. What a guy.😍

This should probably be its own thread. I suspect it will be quite a widely discussed topic.

The US has stated that the attacks have nothing to do with it.

Hopefully, that is true. And hopefully, Trump just pulls back and leaves Israel to it.

It's not a war that either the world or the US needs.

Netanyahu, who seems to have recovered from his illness when he was on trial, is gambling on the fact that the US won't let Israel hang. While I'd be quite happy to see Netanyahu hang, there are innocent people both in Iran and Israel who don't deserve a similar fate.

I'd hate to be in Trump's shoes. Tough call to make.

Well, I take it all back.

It seems the US has just claimed authorizing it. Or close too.

I am sure there is more going on behind the scenes. But from where I stand looking on - bad call!

I can't disagree.

Rubio, who I was wrong about, played the statesman. Distanced the US from Netanyahu's evil.

Then Trump blunders in and owns it all. Just jaw dropping stupidity.

The attack on Iran has violated the UN Charter and is an unprovoked act of war. Inexcusable.

This weekend is going to be very interesting. There will be the No Kings protest. Which I understand has nothing to do with a bad poker hand.

The riots, as you know, are a prelude to a civil war in the US.

Remind me. Who has a ton of sleeper cells in the US ready to activate?

Oh yeah, Iranian sleeper cells and millions of Soros' rent-a-crowd illegals all collaborating in a civil war against the US.

That's going to go well while you're stretched fighting battle front overseas.

A masterclass in how to shoot your own testicles off with a shotgun ...

From truth social.

I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them, in the strongest of words, to “just do it,” but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done. I told them it would be much worse than anything they know, anticipated, or were told, that the United States makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the World, BY FAR, and that Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come - And they know how to use it. Certain Iranian hardliner’s spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse! There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end. Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, no more destruction, JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. God Bless You All!

I can tell you what's gone wrong... a pound doesn't get an awful lot these days!

'I used to spend £50 there': What's gone wrong at Poundland?

Quote

Sharon Carroll once shopped so much at her local Poundland that her friends described her as "Mrs Poundland".

"I'd just buy so many things," says Sharon. "I'd spend £40 to £50.

"When everything used to be £1 it was a big attraction."

But when the company began to change its pricing strategy, external, increasing the prices of some products from £1, the 45-year-old says she cut down on her purchases.

"The quality of the products was also going down and you were paying more for things."

Other shoppers also told the BBC that they were put off when the retailer started putting its prices up.

This week, the struggling budget chain was sold for (appropriately) £1 by its owner Pepco to a US investment firm, Gordon Brothers. Up to 100 stores are at risk of closure.

The £1 promise was Poundland's "most compelling proposition", says Howard Lake, a retail consultant at Kantar.

"Removing this identity alienated its core shopper base."

"It's just not sustainable any more" 🤭

Inflation, rising energy costs, rising business rents/rates, rising employment costs (National Insurance, minimum wage etc), I could go on.

You and I most certainly understand this. Yet somehow millions of other people can't understand why things have become more expensive in the last few years.

Either Poundland had to "change its pricing strategy", or it would have had to reduce its product range to ultra-cheap offerings, which would essentially make the stores pointless to visit.

Gone are the days when you could get a bottle of toilet cleaner or shower gel for a quid.

Same as with anything! You get what you pay for, if you want cheap, then you get cheap!

And let's remind ourselves why there has been such high inflation over the past few years ... covid lockdowns, war in Ukraine with sanctions on Russia, nordstream, wars in the middle east, net zero, tax rises, tariffs ... have I missed any?  All deliberate choices made by governments around the world. The question is, is it all coordinated and pre-planned to cause a global crisis?
