I was trying to watch some rvideos related to the C/church Nz incident last weekend and I got the message that video is blocked in my country. I used a V p n but we know that vpn's are next to be blocked/ disabled, so even that is a short term solution. It amazes me how they haven't taken down the truly revolting content circulating on the internet all these years and it's only the 'conspiracies' that violate their T&C. I now try to download and save offline some really important videos, in case all these sites are censored completely. I foresee a cyber purge sometime soon... The Australian and Pacific Plates push against each other along a curving boundary. In between, through most of the South Island, the two plates grind past each other along the Alpine Fault, creating the Southern Alps. The Hikurangi Trough to the east of the North Island is where the Pacific plate subducts under the Australasian plate in the North Island causing the active volcanic area in the middle, Lake Taupo, Mt Ruapehu etc and the likes of Whakaari/White Island in the Bay of Plenty. The entirety of Auckland on a volcanic field; some extinct, some dormant. Lake Taupo in the centre of the NI is the result of several super volcanic eruptions, like Yellowstone. Rotorua always smells like farts - the entire area is geothermic which is harnessed to create electricity. Often you can see steam rises from the gutters...stunning area. It was 10 years ago about a fortnight ago when the Christchurch earthquake occurred, (one of many at the time, but the one the hit in the middle of lunchtime and levelled the entire city killing about 185- a vast majority in two modernish building which pancaked - which I don't believe anyone was held accountable for.) In the prior 6 months there had been other huge earthquakes in the South Island weakening buildings and creating the start of the never ending liquefaction which entire suburbs of Christchurch have been returned to nature because of. Unfortunately, although smaller in size then the ones before it, this one was centred right under the city. Also severally affected Wellington causing huge cracks to open in the road and damaged 100s of buildings throughout the region which needed to be demolished. Saw a bit on Sky News (or one of them, they all blend in together) and without seeing this post, something struck me about the quality of the footage they were showing. He was responsible for uniformed patrolling of diplomatic premises - including Downing Street, the Palace of Westminster, as well as foreign embassies in London. That officer has now been further arrested on suspicion of murder. It's unusual for such a senior officer to give a statement at this stage of an investigation.
