Sounds like a very suspect operation that could easily make enemies.

I read that United Healthcare automatically initially turn down all claims (on the basis that X number will be attempted fraud) and even (later) valid claims are met with severe resistance to pay up - maybe the shooter had family members denied their valid claim(s) and he avenged their denials?

A strange, new illness festering in the heart of Africa has killed 179 people and counting – and most of the victims are teenagers, authorities said.

The unidentified disease has infected at least 300 people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo since November 10, causing flu-like symptoms including fever, headaches, coughing, breathing difficulties and anemia, that country’s health ministry told the BBC.

Most of the dead have been between 16 and 18, authorities said.

Is the DRC a kind of testing ground for new viral weapons?

Their rationale is that life began in Africa, monkeys are from Africa so it makes sense that previously unknown disease can come from there.

I reckon if you correlate vaccine programs with localities in DRC combined with new viral outbreaks you’d see some kind of suspicious patterning.

It strikes me as odd that today they're saying the words, 'deny', 'defend' and 'depose' were on the bullet casings (one word per casing) retrieved from the crime site. I can't find it now, but yesterday they were saying the shooter took the time to collect the bullet casings before running.

There are pictures being circulated now of the suspect.

Do people think the real shooter will be caught, or that someone will be framed!

A 34-year-old man has been arrested by gardaí investigating the murder of an eight-year-old girl in Co Wexford.

The man was discharged from hospital just before lunchtime yesterday before being arrested and taken to a garda station in the southeast of the country.

Eight-year-old Malika Al Kattib died following the incident at her home in New Ross on Sunday night.

Horrible waste of an innocent life. I wish children could be protected - there seems to be so little safety for them.

How bizarre, Ms Gill is of course herself a Sikh...

MP wants better Jewish and Sikh ethnicity data

Quote

An MP has called for a law to require public bodies to make more effort to record Sikhs and Jews as ethnic groups.

Preet Kaur Gill, who represents Edgbaston in Birmingham, said they were sometimes recorded as religious groups, but this data was "never used" to inform policymakers.

She told the House of Commons: "It makes both Jews and Sikhs invisible to policymakers, therefore ignoring the inequality and discrimination both groups face".

Recording them as ethnic groups could lead to greater recognition, she said.

Gill made the comments while appealing for her Public Body Ethnicity Data (Inclusion of Jewish and Sikh Categories) Bill to get a second reading on 7 March.

from: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cly45j76nego

But the thing is that Judaism and Sikhism are religions, and Jews and Sikhs are not ethnic groups.

I don't know about Jews, but certainly all the Sikhs I have ever known in my life were ethnically Indians.

I'm not sure where she is trying to go with this private members bill, but I'd suspect that her inclusion of Sikhs might just be a smokescreen, being a Sikh woman herself.

Do Jews really face that much 'inequality and discrimination'? 🤨

I'm not sure what this has to do with Birmingham, but then that's 'click-bait journalism' for you. 🙄

I bet the answer is "no they don't"

Teacher sent child naked Snapchat pictures and said 'I bet all the boys fancy me'

Quote

A teacher told a 15-year-old boy that she would leave her husband for him, a court has heard. Natalie Arroyo sent naked pictures of herself to the boy and told her that she wanted to have sex with him.

The 33-year-old began contacting the victim on Snapchat while she was working as a progress coach and supply teacher. The victim was described as "vulnerable" when she began contact with him.

Arroyo's conversation with the boy on Snapchat was "innocent" at first but she introduced a sexual element to the conversation and became flirtatious. She told the victim: "I bet all the boys fancy me. I don't blame them – I have really big boobs."

Not my cup of tea, and I can see why this young lad rejected her advances.

It just goes to show that it is not just "dirty old men" who are perverts towards children.

This is a recent phenomena though professor Dutton did a piece in a somewhat ladish "why are female teachers shagging the pupils".

It does seem to be happening more and more.

I don't know whether it's just me, but something screams 'fake news' about this:

Road marking repainted again after misspelling

Quote

Road markings reading "Ceep Klear" near a school have been repainted after being pointed out by locals.

The misspelling of the common "Keep Clear" warning appeared on a re-patched section of Watermoor Road in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Images of the sign, near Paternoster School, attracted hundreds of comments on social media on Thursday.

It has now been repainted and a spokesperson for Wales and West Utilities, which carried out the work, said the markings now have "the full and correct spelling".

Either way, it still looks shoddy and half-arsed!

Quote

"Contractors working on our behalf have been to the site to reinstate the road surface but unfortunately, when replacing the road markings they have misspelt the wording on the tarmac," a spokesperson said.

"As soon as we were made aware, we contacted the contractors to request that they return to the site and rectify this as quickly as possible.

"The team have now replaced the markings with the full and correct spelling," they added.

Incompetence? Or a trick by contractors to earn more money out of the job?

Chances are that its not more and more of it, rather that it was under reported previously. Just like all the prolific paedophile reporting now, and the corruption showing at every turn.

At some point, all the debauchery and corruption has to float to the surface to be seen for what it is and to be dealt with.

Shit resurfacing job too. Maybe the "contractors" do not have English as their first language.

All 'suitable' British cattle will be given methane-reducing chemical Bovaer or Bovaer-like products by law by 2030, under controversial Government plans.

People who know how much train operators charge for alcoholic drinks already won't be bothered by this.

Rail firm launches beer for festive safety campaign

Quote

A rail operator has created a low-alcohol beer as part of a campaign to improve passenger safety over Christmas.

Avanti West Coast has partnered with Birmingham Brewing Company to launch Safety Thirst – a 0.5% pale ale which will be sold on trains to encourage people to drink responsibly.

As part of the campaign, a choir made up of Avanti West Coast employees performed a song titled Safety Thirst, to the tune of Jingle Bells, at Stafford station.

According to the operator, rail-related accidents where intoxication is a possible factor increase by about 45% during the festive period.

Dave Whitehouse, director of safety, security and environment at Avanti West Coast, said: "This time of year, our network is busier and our staff are on hand to help everyone get to their destination safely.

"The Safety Thirst campaign is a great reminder to drink responsibly to create a more enjoyable travel experience for everyone taking a journey with us as well as our colleagues."

from: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0kv8znyez1o

And it's not just at Christmas... I was on a Cross-Country train earlier this year, and there was a large party in our carriage heading off to Torquay - they were all in 'good spirits' and during the journey they broke open a box of beer cans and were handing them out amongst themselves.

To be fair, while they were a bit 'boisterous', they weren't doing any harm. And given the choice between bringing on board an 18pack of Carling from a supermarket for £14, or paying nearly £4 for a little can of 'low-alcohol' beer, I don't blame them.

Happening a lot in the US. Female teachers getting nicked for having it off with their male pupils are often in the news. There's even a special category for such stuff on Pornhub. So I'm told.

"It's okay when we do it!"

Inside the UK's 'secret' £10m medicinal cannabis factory

Quote

Since it was legalised in the UK, the number of medicinal cannabis prescriptions has surged. With demand showing no signs of slowing, one company has ambitions to take production of the drug to a new level.

The BBC has been given access to the factory on the condition the location remains secret.

To enter, we need to prove our identities, go through two secure gates, and finally, pass through a bulletproof door.

The security team is ex-military.

"We have hundreds of CCTV cameras around the place - all infrared," says James Leavesley, one of the founders of Dalgety.

According to the company, this hi-tech facility is the first in the UK where cannabis can be grown, packaged and sold directly to pharmacies from a single location.

The guy may be professional but he’s using top feed bat/rock wool and synthetic nutrients, which makes for a harsher, possibly heavy metal contaminated product.

I’d be impressed if it was all organic based, but this is ‘drug dealer’ mentality, profits over product.
