You could use the Fly Agaric mushroom (Amanita Muscaria) to kill flies (must be picked fresh, not bought dried). It rots very quickly when warm, smelling like rotting flesh and feaces, attracting flies, they then consume the mushroom poisoning themselves.

Its been used as a fly killer for centuries everywhere it grows. In almost every language, its name reflects this property.

If you do wish to use it recreationaly and have picked them fresh, you MUST decarboxylate them first by baking or sun drying, else buy them prepared. They are not specifically illegal in the UK and can be ordered online from reputable suppliers such as Amanita Lithuania (https://amanita.lt/product/buy-amanita-muscaria-fly-agaric-2024/).

In the United Kingdom, Amanita muscaria, commonly known as "fly agaric," is not a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Therefore, possession of the mushroom itself is not illegal.

The psychoactive compound (p.muscimole?) also carries through into your urine, so if you’ve eaten all the mushies and you’re friends want to trip they’ll have to drink your piss, after which they’ll be tripping balls

yes drying is essential, fresh they are poisonous

The red and white colours are santas traditional livery, and little fly agaric mushrooms were the original baubles that Nordic families would hang on their Christmas tree to dry before the ritual family trip session.

If you were a bad kid that year you’d be excluded from the trip as your negative vibes would infect the ritual and cause bad trips for everyone. Bad kids were given a lump of coal and told to piss off

That’s what I did last year, boiled some old golden Virginia and sprayed it on my beans. The ants hated it and stopped farming aphids, but you gotta apply it everyday

I think it’s neonicotinoids that were banned, but some oilseed rape growers can still get exemptions and use it

I just get ladybird larvae and they eat the aphids faster than the ants can farm them

Close, but it's a chemical in the mushroom called Ibetonic Acid, a nasty stimulant that has effects like nerve gas. It is metabolized into Muscimol via decarboxylation which is why the Norse fed the fresh Mushrooms to Reindeer first and then drank their pee, hence Santas flying Reindeer. Nowadays we just Sun dry or bake the mushroom to decarboxylate the Ibetonic acid into Muscimol, however never drink carbonated beverages with the mushroom else you'll convert it all back.

The mushroom when sliced looks like the Catholic sacramental communion wafer, the 'Body of Christ' and when cooked it exudes a red liquid, the sacramental communion wine or the 'Blood of Christ'. Amanita Muscaria is the true substance of the Catholic sacrament of holy communion and probably why it is legal.

Ibetonic acid is a vasoconstrictor and causes incredibly painful pins and needles in the bodies extremities, like the Crucifixion of Christ one experiences the feeling of being nailed hands and feet to the cross. Most people who injest Amanita Muscaria raw do end up in hospital due to the extreme physical pain, although they recover, they do suffer an effective crucifixion until all of the Ibetonic acid has been metabolized into Muscimol, which has the complete opposite effect, being sedating, analgesic and psychedelic.

Through crucifixion, the blood of Christ pays for the sins of the body and the spirit is then released from the physical unto the heavenly plane, or when the agonising physical pain caused by Ibetonic acid ends, once it is metabolized, the sedative, analgesic and psychedelic effects of Muscimol take over, bringing an intense sense of relief along with a feeling of euphoria that causes one to experience a lucid dream state or OOBE (out of body experience).

However, these are both objective descriptions, one being religious and the other scientific. When it comes to the subjective experience, I don't think it matters as much as that ineffable gnosis, a most personal and holy experience that transcends time and culture.

It all depends on you point of view I guess, c'est la vie.

If that were all true on the religious aspect then nobody would do the communion thing every week and you wouldn't convert anyone to that religion which causes sickness that badly.

Seems a bit of a stretch. Having said that, there's plenty of evidence for ancient beliefs using mind altering plants etc.

Obviously the sunday Catholic communion is a symbolic ritual using (non-psychoactive) bread and wine in place of the psychedelic mushroom which is used in the proper initiatic ceremony of the holy communion.

Of course they only perform a symbolic ritual for the commoners, for they are not priests being initiated into a holy order.

Your response is like saying 'nobody would do the communion thing because nobody would drink the Blood of Christ or eat his body', well of course they wouldn't join a religion of cannibals, the ritual is of course symbolic.

But the real ritual, as with every religion that uses sacred plants to attain communion with the divine is a very real thing, however being a sacred and secret ritual, the Catholic Church has quietly denounced this information and quite rightly, as such sacred things where not for the masses lest they be profaned.

I don't think this is directly related to what you're saying, but I came across the following story (from a couple of days ago now) this morning, and found it curious.

Ship carrying explosive fertiliser heads to UK waters

from: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c62g95721leo

Now according to that Marine Traffic website, the ship is still anchored off the Kent coast, around 20-25 miles north-east of Ramsgate.

The BBC pains to point out that there is no "immediate danger", yet at the same time refers back to the massive Beirut blast in 2020.

So we have a boat carrying 20,000 tonnes of a dangerous chemical, which it seems nobody wants now - it was originally bound for a port in Lithuania, but entry was denied due to the 'dangerous cargo'. And the Maltese authorities don't want the ship to return unless it has removed its cargo.

Which then begs the question of what will happen to this cargo? The ship is currently awaiting an opportunity for an at-sea refuelling.

The ship is now in Great Yarmouth.

What Brave Ai says about Ammonium Nitrate and Nitrogen Dioxide.

Ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) are two substances that are closely related in their chemical properties and environmental impacts.

Formation of Nitrogen Dioxide from Ammonium Nitrate

When ammonium nitrate decomposes, it produces various nitrogen-containing compounds, including nitrogen dioxide (NO2). This occurs through a series of reactions involving the thermal decomposition of ammonium nitrate, which releases nitric oxide (NO) and nitrous oxide (N2O). Nitric oxide then reacts with oxygen to form nitrogen dioxide (NO2):

NH4NO3 → NH3 + HNO3 (initial decomposition) HNO3 → NO + H2O (further decomposition) NO + O2 → NO2 (oxidation)

Properties and Effects of Nitrogen Dioxide

Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is a reddish-brown gas with a pungent, irritating odor. It is a highly reactive species that can participate in various atmospheric and biological processes. Some key properties and effects of nitrogen dioxide include:

  • Toxicity: NO2 is harmful to humans and animals, causing respiratory problems, eye and skin irritation, and even death at high concentrations.
  • Environmental impact: NO2 contributes to acid rain, eutrophication, and ozone depletion in the stratosphere.
  • Health effects: Long-term exposure to NO2 has been linked to increased risk of respiratory diseases, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Examples of Ammonium Nitrate and Nitrogen Dioxide Interactions

  1. Beirut Blast: During the 2020 Beirut explosion, ammonium nitrate decomposition released massive amounts of nitrogen dioxide (NO2), which was responsible for the distinctive reddish-brown color of the explosion cloud.
  2. Industrial processes: Ammonium nitrate is used in various industrial processes, including fertilizer production and explosives manufacturing. In these contexts, the decomposition of ammonium nitrate can release nitrogen dioxide, which must be controlled and mitigated to prevent environmental and health impacts.
  3. Atmospheric chemistry: Ammonium nitrate and nitrogen dioxide interact in atmospheric chemical reactions, influencing the formation of secondary pollutants like particulate matter, ozone, and aerosols.

In summary, ammonium nitrate and nitrogen dioxide are interconnected through their chemical properties and environmental impacts. Understanding these relationships is crucial for mitigating the effects of ammonium nitrate decomposition and nitrogen dioxide emissions in various contexts, from industrial processes to environmental pollution.

So could the ship be whats causing the high levels of NO2 in the air?     This is tonights image from windy dot com

Its just ammonium nitrate for fertiliser and as long as its stored properly and at the right humidity it wont detonate even if it's blown up. Its not a floating bomb ship, the cargo was not damaged, just part of the rudder and this b.s is all because it's Russian and as for ports declining it from docking, they wouldn't haves allowed it to dock anyway due to the cargo, whether the ship was damaged or not. Besides the ship is registered as Maltese.

Anyone think the West is prejudice against Russians?

Want to see Ammonia nitrate explode?

The Beirut Disaster

On 4 August 2020, a large amount of ammonium nitrate stored at the Port of Beirut in the capital city of Lebanon exploded, causing at least 218 deaths, 7,000 injuries, and US$15 billion in property damage, as well as leaving an estimated 300,000 people homeless.

A cargo of 2,750 tonnes of the substance (equivalent to around 1.1 kilotons of TNT) had been stored in a warehouse without proper safety measures for the previous six years after having been confiscated by Lebanese authorities from the abandoned ship MV Rhosus. A fire in the same warehouse preceded the explosion.

The blast was so powerful that it was felt throughout Lebanon. It was also felt in Turkey, Syria, Palestine, Jordan, Israel, and parts of Europe, and was heard in Cyprus, more than 240 km (150 mi) away. It was detected by the United States Geological Survey as a seismic event of magnitude 3.3 and is considered one of the most powerful non-nuclear explosions on record. It was powerful enough to affect Earth's ionosphere. The blast was also the largest single-fired ammonium nitrate explosion in history.

Astrology of November 2024 – Pluto Enters Aquarius

(snippet)

November 2024 is marked by one of the most important ingresses of the year – if not of the decade: Pluto enters Aquarius.

Can we emphasize this shift enough? Pluto’s move from Capricorn to Aquarius marks a profound transition – from tradition and structure to a new era of innovation and collective ideals.

When Pluto enters a new sign (and this only happens once every 20 years on average), our lives, and society as a whole change in unprecedented ways. This is BIG.

November brings a complete change in perspective as a record 5 planets change signs: Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and, of course, Pluto. There’s potential for major shifts.

As if that weren’t enough, 2 planets change direction: Saturn goes direct on November 16th, and Mercury turns retrograde on November 26th, asking us to reconsider our goals (Mercury in Sagittarius) and evaluating our long-term legacy (Saturn in Pisces).

One thing leads to another, and by the end of the month, we may find ourselves wondering – what just happened?

pluto enters Aquarius in November 2024

Let’s dive into the most important transits of the month:

November 1st, 2024 – New Moon In Scorpio

On November 1st, 2024, we have a New Moon at 9° Scorpio. This is a supportive New Moon, trining Saturn in Pisces.

The New Moon encourages focused commitment and deep introspection (Scorpio), helping us align our goals with our highest ideals (Pisces). With Saturn’s stabilizing influence, any seeds planted now have the potential to grow into a beautiful flower.

Man arrested after £300k worth of cheese stolen

Neal's Yard Dairy said last week it had lost clothbound Cheddar worth more than £300,000 after the firm was conned by a fraudulent buyer.

Thursday 31 October 2024 13:50, UK

Police investigating the theft of 22 tonnes of cheese have arrested a 63-year-old man on suspicion of fraud and handling stolen goods.

It follows the theft at Neal's Yard Dairy in Southwark, south London, last week.

Company bosses said the firm had lost clothbound Cheddar worth more than £300,000 after it was conned by a fraudulent buyer posing as a legitimate wholesale distributor for a major French retailer.

Neal's Yard Dairy added it only discovered the person's identity was fake after a total of 950 cheeses were delivered.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said on Thursday that investigating officers arrested a man on suspicion of fraud by false representation and handling stolen goods.

It said the 63-year-old was then "taken to a south London police station where he was questioned".

The force added the man "has since been bailed pending further inquiries".

Neal's Yard Dairy said the three types of artisan cheeses stolen were Hafod Welsh Organic Cheddar, Westcombe Cheddar, and Pitchfork Cheddar.

It added the cheeses "have won numerous awards and are amongst the most sought-after artisan cheeses in the UK", and suggested their "high monetary value" made them "a particular target for the thieves".

Despite what it described as a "significant financial blow", Neal's Yard Dairy said it had honoured its commitment to its small-scale suppliers and had already paid the three artisan cheesemakers in full.

Two days after the theft became public, the firm thanked supporters for their messages and visits to its stores, and said: "We are truly touched that so many people in the artisan cheese community and beyond are standing with us."

Meanwhile, celebrity chef Jamie Oliver urged followers to be on alert for "lorryloads of very posh cheese" being sold "for cheap".

He noted on Instagram that the amount of Cheddar stolen equaled the entire annual production of Hafod cheese, "potentially creating a significant gap in the artisanal cheese market".

Westcombe Dairy's Tom Calver also shared a video showing the inside of the dairy, pointing to the empty shelves behind him to show how much cheese had been stolen.

"I feel a bit strange about it, actually," Mr Calver said on Instagram. "Out of all the stuff to steal. Cheddar.

"It almost feels like an honour that it has got such value."

He said Westcombe Cheddar was aged for 12 to 18 months, and that the stolen cheese was produced 15 months ago.

"What worries me is the trust element in things," he said. "At the end of the day, what we need to have is more trust in the food supply system, rather than less of it.

"I hope more people will want to know where their food comes from."

Well, this is reassuring!

Knife task force will 'help keep communities safe'

Quote

The West Midlands' police and crime commissioner (PCC) has said a new knife crime task force led by the home secretary will help to "keep our communities safe".

The national group aims to prevent, tackle and reduce "knife-enabled robbery", focusing on regions like the West Midlands which has the highest rate of knife crime offences in England and Wales.

PCC Simon Foster and Chief Constable Craig Guildford joined the Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, the policing minister and representatives from other badly affected regions in London.

The new group will meet monthly for the next six months, in a move Mr Foster said would "bring efforts and resources together".

from: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy4nmkz7g1ro

Great, so yet another 'task force' will solve this spiralling problem of knife-crime once and for all. 🤨

So, apart from 'meeting monthly', what exactly is this 'group' going to actually do?

When I read stories like this, I find it a bit unfair when the venue gets punished like this.

Forum Birmingham issues statement after man's death as licence temporarily suspended

Quote

Forum Birmingham said they are devastated by the tragic death of a 22-year-old who had visited their city centre music venue over the weekend. West Midlands Police believe the man and two others, aged 20, may have 'taken drugs' inside the site, located on Dale End, on Saturday, October 26.

Police said the two other men had since been discharged from hospital. A 20-year-old man has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. The venue has also had its licence temporarily suspended by the city council with an investigation ongoing after police said it "may have had an inadequate search regime in place."

Venue bosses have now released a statement on its social media channels today, Thursday, October 31. It said the man had become unwell inside the nightspot where he was helped by their medical team before he was taken to hospital. It said the Forum is working closely with the local public authorities "to fully understand the circumstances" surrounding this tragic incident.

from: https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/birmingham-nightclub-issues-statement-after-30271147

If people choose to take drugs so they can enjoy a 'night out' then that is surely their choice. I don't know what is meant by "inadequate search regime" in this situation, but short of forcing all customers to be strip-searched and their pockets emptied, no venue is going to be able to completely stop people smuggling drugs inside, if that is what they intend to do.

Someone took drugs, became 'unwell' as a result, and then - sadly - died. Now as a consequence of this persons actions, the venue has its licence suspended, which means that future events are being cancelled and ticket holders are being disappointed and refunded.

It is of course sad to hear that someone has lost their life, but it was surely a consequence of their own actions, rather than any fault of the venue.

These kids must be getting knives from somewhere. Because they're not buying them from responsible retailers, for whom it is increasingly difficult to sell such products, either in person or online.

Side note: I work for a company that sells catering equipment and supplies online. You can go to our eBay store and you can buy forks, dessert spoons and teaspoons to kit out your kitchen or restaurant/cafe. But you can't buy the knives to go with them because eBay have 'banned' them.

Well, "good question" (as they say) - given the essential characteristics of the two players, I would say it was  both a consensual and long planned (return)rendezvous😀

I've been a student of astrology for more than 3 decades and find it very useful.  I had to look up "solar consciousness" - (I guess I must have it because I feel the same as below)

What is Solar Consciousness?

Consider that every planetary body is a conscious, living, all-intelligent being. Just as you are conscious, so is the Sun, the planets and the stars. We are, each one of us, animated and driven by the universal consciousness.

All planetary bodies (including you) are responding to and also generating energetic impulses (frequencies) that interact with one another, giving rise to the experiences and states of composition that form the basis of each entity.

Every planetary body (including our own) generates morphogenetic fields, sending invisible communication signals to one another, linking like vibrations and shifting the frequency between us all.

It’s how we find who we are (or are not) in resonance with. We’re in constant energetic communication with one another. The Sun is communicating with Earth, Earth with the Sun, Earth with Venus, Venus with the Sun etc. etc. Likewise, the inhabitants of each planetary body, such as humans, animals and those non-physical beings on higher invisible wavelengths, also communicate energetically through their individual morphic fields.

As the Sun’s activity increases, highly charged cosmic particles are sent through our solar system, raising the frequency of all that they touch, including us. When sunspot activity increases, as it has in 2023 and which is due to peak in 2024 to 2025, we energetically feel a jolt of power within our morphic field (when flaring takes place). It’s like a shock-wave that goes through us. It rearranges our morphic fields, which is why you can feel anything from uneasy to exhilarated, and it’s why physical body disturbances also take place.

During solar maximum, humanity receives intensive doses of higher frequency light and sound from an erupting Sun.

This causes your energy body to literally sound like a bell, re-arranging the vibration and frequency of your cells. As solar flaring occurs, you can feel as though you’re being stirred and shook up, because you’re being energetically re-arranged to be in synchronicity with an evolving Sun.

We’re not immune to the Sun’s activity and likewise, the Sun responds to ours, as Earth shifts consciousness. We affect one another equally. "

I read that apparently Russian agents are behind the Neal's Yard Cheese heist! 😀

https://news.sky.com/story/governments-value-for-money-tsar-to-be-paid-950-a-day-13245770

(not a joke article I fact checked it 🤣 )

The government's new value for money tsar will be paid a day rate of £950.

David Goldstone will take up the position of chair of the new Office for Value for Money, Chancellor Rachel Reeves said during her budget on Wednesday.

Mr Goldstone is expected to work a monthly average of one day a week.

It equates to an annual salary of just under £50,000. If the post was full time it would work out at more than £240,000 a year.

Mr Goldstone's role is independent and he is not an employee of the Treasury.

He is also a non-executive director of the Submarine Delivery Agency and HS2 Ltd.

It makes you wonder what kind of 'work' he hopes to get done if he's just working one day a week. And will it be a full day's work?

Maybe his first task will be an in-depth investigation into whether his own role is indeed 'value-for-money'! 😆

Surely there is some conflict of interest though, seeing as he is also a director of HS2 Ltd, which must be the biggest waste of money going?
