There's only one way to leave.

 

I said on an earlier post the drug paraphernalia looked staged - way too cliched and thats not how people using drugs tend to operate. The emails he was reading are probably the biggest clue as to why he decided to flee, and as for motives...follow the money! Here's that word "complex" being used again, which in my opinion is used when something is going to get covered up, or dragged out so it costs the taxpayer even more.

Yes, something went very wrong here, talk about stating the obvious! They could start by asking the drivers what happened, as well as whoever oversees the signalling system.

 

I'm familiar with this railway line as I've travelled on it several times in the last few years. For the benefit of those who don't know, the Cambrian Line runs between Shrewsbury and Machynlleth, from where it splits, with one line continuing south to Aberystwyth, while the Cambrian Coast Line heads north up to Pwllheli.

 

It's mainly single track line, with strategically placed double-tracks where trains can safely pass each other in both directions. And there is one such passing point near Talerddig where this crash happened. The eastbound train should have been waiting here for the westbound train to pass by, before proceeding onto the single tracks.

 

I don't want to speculate too much on what happened, only those driving those trains will know. But either someone missed a signal, the signal wasn't working, or it was indeed 'leaves on the line' which caused the train to fail to stop at the passing point.

 

Yes, 'leaves on the line' sounds like a terrible excuse, but its incredible that while we have modern trains running on what is basically Victorian infrastructure and technology, no-one has been able to come up with a technological solution to overcome this issue.

I fully understand some of the concerns about "over-tourism", but I still think there's a bigger picture being overlooked here...

The important thing to remember here, is that of the "90 million foreign visitors" that Spain receives, 99% of them "go back home" after their stay.

 

Yes, it is true, not just in Spain, where people are snapping up properties as they come onto the market so they can be used for AirBNB rentals, and that does affect locals in those areas, as it drives up property and rental prices.

 

"Over-tourism" is bad, I saw this myself in St Ives in Cornwall earlier this year.

 

But at least these tourists go home afterwards, after spending their hard-earned money during a deserved holiday, and contributing towards your local economy.

 

What I've not seen mentioned here, in particular with regards to the Canary Islands, is how tourists are being increasingly put off from visiting, because of all the African migrants congregating there, trying to get to the European mainland.

Just 30ml of liquid nicotine can kill someone. There was a murder case around a husband killing his wife for insurance with that method.

Vapes are worse than cigarettes for poisoning whether they have nicotine or not.

Nicotine is also a powerful insecticide but I believe it's been banned here in the UK.  We used to be able to diy it by boiling up some old fag butts and putting the liquid into a sprayer, but no more.

That’s what I did last year, boiled some old golden Virginia and sprayed it on my beans. The ants hated it and stopped farming aphids, but you gotta apply it everyday

You could use the Fly Agaric mushroom (Amanita Muscaria) to kill flies (must be picked fresh, not bought dried). It rots very quickly when warm, smelling like rotting flesh and feaces, attracting flies, they then consume the mushroom poisoning themselves.

 Sadly the later toxic pesticide  I heard    might be allowed by  UK gov for sugarbeet ( despite EU ban & ongoing petition)

 can be grown  without it ,   it's really bad for bees ,stays around in hedges  etc
