FBI warns of phone charger threat

The federal law enforcement agency said that public phone charging sites are vulnerable to “bad actors”

The FBI has urged Americans to stay away from free phone charging stations found at airports, hotels, and other public places, saying they could be used to hack into devices and may pose a threat to privacy.

While it’s unclear what prompted the advice, the bureau’s Denver office recently made a case against public charging sites in a social media post, reflecting a similar guidance offered on the FBI’s website.

“Avoid using free charging stations in airports, hotels or shopping centers. Bad actors have figured out ways to use public USB ports to introduce malware and monitoring software onto devices,” it said, suggesting people “Carry [their] own charger and USB cord and use an electrical outlet instead.”

Interesting that this article is being pushed on all the radio news bulletins this morning about people buying more frozen food... why now?

They don't want us to have ANY self sufficiency, resilience or power to fight back. Those with a freezer full of food are more likely to pay their electricity bills on time.

Obviously I'm not promoting junk food, but do you think it might be part of the war on meat?

There was this recent story too.

Owned by the Vanguard Group which is approximately parallel to Blackrock in terms of global investment in the tens of trillions (or at least was). Probably plays a role, people are most definitely more stretched financially which is also going to play a role with where they spend their money for sure, agree. That said though, do they still do 99p burgers 99p fries etc? Because that's a pretty cheap meal

14 mil, sounds to small for a big company like BK,again crisis where there is no crisis????

It's a franchise, it's not the main company. They'll probably be able to pick all the sites up for very little and keep them open as company restaurants.
