Ali, 21, yelled at a doorman and shouted anti-English racial abuse. “He then snatched a broken bottle from the street and threatened the doorman with it, saying ‘I’m going to kill you’, barrister Brendan Burke told Carlisle Crown Court. “A threat the doorman believed to be genuine. “He then addressed the public at large, saying he was going to bomb the club.” A man of previous good character, Ali admitted using a broken bottle to threaten a person and also a racially aggravated charge. Earlier this month he was jailed for four months by magistrates who heard a probation officer’s oral report but concluded there was no realistic prospect of rehabilitation. Ali’s appeal against the severity of that sentence was heard at the crown court today (tues). His lawyer, Jeff Smith, said: “The appeal was brought specifically on the point there is no evidence whatsoever he is not capable of being rehabilitated.” Mr Smith said Ali was an asylum seeker from Iraq. He left the country three years ago, spending two years in Germany and then a period of time in France before arriving in the UK illegally in a small boat.' And when he does blow some public place and its occupants to smithereens, there'll be much meaningless gumflapping about lessons to be learnt. My main interests are demography, anthropology, history, and politics. The weather modification topic is something that I would like to explore more, especially now that demography is coming up in climate refugee topics. Yes, would be good to share our experience on a thread. I enjoy the chemtrails thread. It is infuriating ... the British especially, who are world famous for discussing the weather; should know all about the weather experiments, known 'achievements', future and history. Last time I checked the Chinese had 50,000 people working on weather modification, and had upped their rain / snowfall by 5% if I remember rightly?

I thought that was us lot? It was in the headlines today about her opening up to Mariah Carey about never having been treated like a black woman until she joined the Royal family. I've a feeling some extra vigilance might be in order on her part before she climbs into a car, given their propensity to just crash for no good reason. *Edit* Sorry, have just realised this is off topic. Makes you think about that weird shit that happened at the rap concert this year? Or last. Channeling my inner angry child I quite like Fred Durst; and in a perverted sense I quite like his music, just don't think he is very bright. And to be honest these were the 90s the days of jackass and just being a dick and causing mayhem seemed badly organised. But it just goes to show how people will react in crowds etc. I'm no coward but I think it makes logical sense to be frightened in these sorts of situations. But I also have nothing against mosh pits and that most of the time people will help each other up etc don't go In there to start throwing fists etc.

I listen to all genres like a lot of posters here. I was planning on going to download in 2007 I would have been around 15 or so. A lot of people don't realize it was always metal that was the working class music. Anyways won't clog this thread up. Once I've moved house I am going to start coming on here with my laptop like the good all days so I have some threads planned. Going to try and contribute here in a more constructive manner. 1

The elements get coated in some horrible stuff which inhibits the heat output therefore take longer to boil. This is especially true in hard water areas. I've tried loads of kettles including £90 ones they all last about 2 years. The element is the component that fails. It's possible to extend the life of the kettle by cleaning the element also if you use distilled water this will extend the life. Buying more stuff is not the solution to this.

Cheap Chinese-made tat that will need replacing after less than a year... Having said that, I bought a cheap Argos own-brand kettle a few years ago now, it was about £12, it is still going strong even today. It has a 1.7 litre capacity, but as I live by myself, I only fill it with just enough water to make myself a coffee or cup of tea, takes no time and little energy to get to the boil.
Grumpy Owl
This headline itself sums up everything that is wrong with our society and this world right now... Furious fan paid £700 for two Harry Styles tickets - and now says she will struggle with rent The fuming Harry Styles fan said she’ll now struggle with grocery shopping and covering rent due to the extreme cost for two tickets on Ticketmaster Quote A woman has shared her anger at paying £697.45 for two Harry Styles tickets on Ticketmaster, and not realising until after she had paid. This was after the tickets were advertised for £155 each. Niamh, 25, logged onto Ticketmaster like so many other fans ahead of Harry Styles presale tickets at 10am this morning. She and her friend had saved up to buy pod standing tickets, which were advertised as £155 each. With the ticket queue consisting of more than 200,000 people and Ticketmaster threatening to crash at any opportune moment, Niamh was in an understandable rush to checkout and buy the tickets. It wasn’t until after she’d paid that she realised she’d paid almost £700 for two tickets. Niamh said she would have thought twice if she’d seen the price before putting in her payment details. She said: “I would not have paid that amount willingly as I can’t afford it. At this price, I’m now going to struggle with basic things like grocery shopping and covering my rent. The prices are absolutely not fair in the current cost of living crisis.” Niamh, who works in exhibitions in London, has seen Harry Styles twice before, but will now be seeking a refund for this event. The disparity in pricing from the advertised price is actually down to Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing system. The more demand there is for an event, the more expensive the tickets become despite what is advertised. From: https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/whats-on/music-nightlife-news/harry-styles-ticketmaster-gig-coventry-24904382 Even at £155 each, that's a lot of money to pay to see some jumped up pop star singing for a couple of hours. If you can afford that kind of money, you ain't experiencing any 'cost of living crisis'. In her defence, with regards to their policy on 'dynamic pricing', Ticketmaster are just as greedy and opportunistic as the touts who used to buy large numbers of tickets and sell them on for exaggerated profits on eBay and the like.
