EXCLUSIVE: Sir Tom Jones is treated by doctors after collapsing in Budapest ahead of latest date on his Surrounded By Time tour

"Not unusual" though!

Why is an eighty-two year old geriatric embarking on a European Tour?

I guess it's because you don't get to retire gracefully when you've sold your soul, like Diana Ross, Paul McCartney, Cliff Richard and the Stones.....

They just keep on wheeling them out, for as long as they have breath in their lungs.

Every single ambulance service in England declares ‘critical incident’ statusOne ambulance was forced to wait 24 hours just to hand over a patient as hospitals also struggle to cope with demand.

 12 July 2022

Had NHS consultant appointment not long ago that overran by hours. Lots of people waiting around getting aggitated, seemed like nobody being seen.

I was sat next to the reception & could hear the whisper talking going on. The conversation was about a list of 20 doctors / consultants they had...7 had frauded off with claimed Covid symptoms, but 12 were on annual leave.

What sort of organisation allows 60% of it's staff to be on leave at the same time?...unless you're that over staffed or are trying to create a problem?

I know, they're shysters. I have a hospital appointment on 27th and plan on taking some pots & pans with me to use as weapons if they piss about. 🙂

They have 'debts' to pay.

Haha. Fixed for 6 months. They deserve everything they've got coming. It'll be extra jumpers and hot water bottles boiled on a Kelly kettle in my house this winter. No way I'm going to let the fu**ers give me anxiety about it.

The magnificent kelly kettle!  Simple, compact, light, boils water quickly with very little fuel, like twigs, pine cones, paper, dry grass etc.  My favourite piece of survival equipment.   I have 2 sizes of the stainless steel versions and I could not recommend them more highly.

A splendid idea about the hot water bottles. 1970's nostalgia. 🙂

Those of you who have come to know me through my various posts here at this site are aware that I rarely, if ever use profanities when expressing my views. But, this is one of those "straw that broke the camel's back" moments. So, here it is: FUCK YOU, ASSHOLES!

As a songwriter/musician myself, I intend on making music until I'm six feet under. People are always quick to mock the Rolling Stones for still touring, due to their ages, yet I never heard the same criticism towards John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, BB King, etc. Old, black blues/r&b artist get a pass while white blues/r& b artist get mocked. I'm no kid, myself. Am I to lay down my guitars and step aside so some teenager can rhyme obscene profanities over pre-programmed beats? Hell no, I say!

So here, you bloody, fucking cunts, watch this video of Mr Tom Jones. Look in his face as he sings. Look in his eyes. He is living this song, He has lived it. He is still singing because he feels the music. Show me that sincerity on the faces of any of the current crop of younger "artists".

By the way, does this age limit you folks have count just in the music industry? Are people to stop writing books after a certain age? How about bakers? Can't make bread once you're over forty? Music isn't like sports. One continues to improve their musicianship skills, even into their old age. In fact, one tends to get better with age.

And another thing....hold on, there are some kids on my lawn...

I agree with your sentiments about modern music,I'm a musician too KK. I play Guitar, bass, drums, piano even a bit of violin. Do alright from it some months too via publishers and TV sync work. Ive never been on tour and nor do I intend to. Can't think of anything worse. I will continue to make music til I'm dead as well. I don't want these people to stop making music, but when you are Jones and McCartneys age the quality of your performance cannot match what it was in your heyday. They don't need to tour, they could sell millions of albums without touring. They could do fine studio performances and sell DVDs of them. Not saying a musicians technique fades over time but the voice becomes weaker (especially with McCartney at Glasto). It does make you wonder why they keep doing it when so many other, easier, perhaps more satisfying options are available to them.

Traitors. If they want to have a vaccine, then that's up to them and keep it private matter. But they are part of the gang

and were encouraged and or paid to come forward to promote an experimental injection and contributed to mass brainwashing

of the world.

Here's a concept that can seem strange and even perverse in today's modern world: Fun. Because it's fun to make music and play musical instruments with other musicians. It's just that simple. The late, great Les Paul still performed live, every  Monday night at Manhattan's Iridium Jazz Club, into his nineties. It's a joy to play a musical instrument, and to do so with other musicians. So, by most people's thinking, if you are old, rich and accomplished as a musician, you've had enough fun, now go away.

And who says anyone needs to compete with their younger self? None of these artist are making claims they are in their hey day. As an audience member, it's also fun to see an artist whose music has been a part of your life, perform it live in front of you. Sure, they are older and can't always get those high notes, but jeepers, it was a fun concert. And, as long as there are people willing to pay to watch their favorite old farts perform mediocre versions of their beloved song, then why give a damn? And why fault the old fart musicians? If it ain't your scene, then just don't go.

These concerts they have for these old farts don't just fill their pockets with more, unneeded bread, they employ tens of thousands individuals who rely on the income from touring musical acts. You know, "the little people". A basic Stones concert has about twenty to twenty-five huge, semi trucks full of gear, stages, lighting, etc. There are concessions workers, merchandisers, snack shop workers, janitors...the list goes on and on. Most modern acts can not support global tours and not that many can even do a proper, full scale American tours. The Rolling Stones and Bon Jovi are always the top grossing, world wide acts whenever they tour. Rap music has been out since the mid-Seventies, yet, where are the global tours for the old rap artists? Yet, you get a bunch of eighty year old farts in kabuki make-up, squeezed into some leather pants and orthopedic platforms and you have yourself a top grossing global tour of KISS. And somewhere out there is a kid who needs a job selling over priced, concert t-shirts and posters. You want to deny that kid a job just because you felt Sir Paul isn't his ol' mop top self?

In closing, I'd like to state that I do not endorse nor support any of the previously mentioned musical artist. I've merely been defending their choices to continue live performances in spite of the fact that they have committed the most gravest of sins, that of aging. I do not support their views on politics nor do I take any medical advise from any of them.

You're assuming they are driven by the same passion that you are, King Kitty. But you might be giving them undeserved credit.

It could be contracts with Beelzebub as suggested above, or greed for money and ego, which all seem likely to me.

Again, I'm merely defending an individuals right to continue to perform their music into their old age. Many of them do share my passion for music, even though they are old and successful. Watch an old, white haired Jimmy Page play an air guitar as he listens to Muddy Waters and Link Ray, in the film "It Might Get Loud". The joy on his face says it all.

Robert Johnson was said to be a mediocre guitarist in his youth. He goes away for a few months, and when he returns, he can play the guitar a whole lot better than before. Folks around town started to suggest he went off (to the crossroads) and sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for guitar playing skills. Of course, what he actually did was practice a hell of a lot which made him a better guitar player. And you people sound just as ignorant with your suggestions that these artist have sold their souls to the Devil. If one were to sell one's soul to the Devil, one would no longer have a soul. Without a soul, one can not make good music. You can hate on Tom Jones for being a sell out prick and you can hate his style of music, but you can't deny there is a soul in him or his music as he sings the in the previously posted video.

And in the Dylan interview on 60 Minutes, he is referring to Jesus Christ, not the Devil. That interview was just a few years after he converted to Christianity. Yet, it's become an "urban myth" on the internet and everyone insist he is referring to the Devil. Most people are still like those folks in Robert Johnson's town, mystified by musical talent and creativity. Surely these famous asshole musicians didn't get there because they worked hard on their craft, it must be some kind of magic. Most likely, they sold their souls to the Devil! A lot of shady characters...mostly "reptilian", sure, but not the Devil.

And again, I am not defending these artist/musicians on their personal beliefs, political beliefs, religious beliefs, medical beliefs, dietary suggestions, financial advice, etc., it's the "age-ism" that pisses me off. The discounting of a musical artist because they have gotten older. But, no one is really debating that nor defending their age-ist statements. Instead, let's just point out what a bunch of corporate cunts these guys are and throw the Devil in there for good measure. Older people, especially  in the Western world, are greatly discounted in our culture, and that pisses me off.

Look, I'm done with this particular topic. If anyone responds to this, don't do so by telling me what a bunch of pricks these various musical artist are, I'm not defending them being pricks, just being old.

I think this is a sad reflection of society as a whole.

Lozells murder: 'Ghouls' slammed for filming police trying to save life of stabbed boy, 16

Quote

'Ghouls' have been slammed for filming police officers trying desperately to save the life of a 16-year-old murder victim. The teenager had suffered fatal knife wounds in Lozells on Tuesday (July 12).

He has not yet been named by detectives investigating the attack, the latest in a string of violent incidents to rock the city in just seven days. Police have not yet said if any of the multiple shootings and stabbings are linked.

A shocking video of the aftermath of the Lozells knife attack has been shared on social media. It shows police officers desperately trying to save the life of the stabbed teen on a petrol station forecourt in Nursery Road.

At least one person films the unfolding tragedy as others watch on. The footage has been condemned by locals horrified at the senseless loss of another young life in the city.

One said: "It is shocking that someone thought it was OK to film this boy's last moments like this. For it to be shared on social media is just awful too - they are ghouls."

From: https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/lozells-murder-ghouls-slammed-filming-24487272

I would agree, and its a sad state of affairs where people think it is acceptable to film such scenes on their smartphones, so that they can share them on their social media channels for 'likes'.

I remember the days when people would try and help out in such situations, now we are in an age where people are more interested in their 'standing' on Facebook or Instagram, where such 'events' will gather more attention rather than their 'latest update' on what they had for breakfast, or how satisfying their 'morning shit' was.

Where are the British farmers? If I find out they've all slunk off quietly with their bribery pay-offs from the mis-government I'll be very peeved indeed. The thought of them sitting about contemplating their navels while we're served up beatles with a bit of GMO shite on the side - they'll be added to my ever-expanding list of mortal enemies.

We've got a good reputation in Lancashire - (don't interpret 'we 'to include 'me' Mr Police Arsifer. I confess to nothing 😇 )- for sabotaging fields of GMO crops as they're planted up over the last few years.
