An AI insisting it is a human (a "Turing test") and suffering

This is related to how NPCs (non-player characters) could seem like real conscious beings within a simulation/video game....

The technology is a few years old but I tihnk it is still pretty impressive.

In the playground I asked it many questions about morality.... this was interesting:

Wow... though I doubt the AI has the sensations of awareness and pleasure and pain like people do - I think it would be a "philosophical zombie".

 

BTW here are some conversations I've had with AI's that were acting as if they could suffer: (the first sentence tells the AI about how to act)

There's a push atm to make us believe that AI is sentient/conscious. Igans been pushing it lately in his vids and it comes across as disingenuous fearmongering. Another layer of complication/obfuscation.

They can programme sophisticated autonomy to the extent it appears to be sentient but its not.

Ai will be used as a scapegoat of blame for radical changes to the internet imho.

worldwide reliance on internet is problematic.
