tommydrifter
hi all i am posting this information for my own reference. i am not sure if will attempt this project, given the cost of the equipment, but in case i do, i have laid out the series of steps so i can go ahead and "make it happen". i found out about this from Deca's research thread but did not want to "pollute" the thread with my own input so decided to start a new thread in order to not "piss off" other members of the forums. i would love to have a crack at this, but, might have to check behind the couch for loose change, haha. good onya all ----- track aircraft with an ADS-B receiver ----- RTL-SDR Blog dongle US$29.95 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0129EBDS2/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=corro-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B0129EBDS2&linkId=1a4bcb63a05ae48089ee9e1665454492 RTL-SDR Blog antenna kit US$16.95 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075445JDF/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=corro-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B075445JDF&linkId=65f2e6a75eaeeb17177986a3d0226273 Zadig download application and install USB drivers https://zadig.akeo.ie/ RTL-SDR Setup install drivers tutorial ----- Dump1090 instructions http://planeplotter.pbworks.com/w/page/79995023/Dump1090 Dump1090 download .zip file http://www.satsignal.eu/software/dump1090-win.1.10.3010.14.zip Virtual Radar Server download application http://www.virtualradarserver.co.uk/Download.aspx ----- additional resources https://www.rtl-sdr.com/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_Dependent_Surveillance–Broadcast
tommydrifter
if i go ahead and have a go at this, i am going to get the combo dongle/antenna kit. this is cheaper than buying them separately. it is going to cost AU$74.58, i think. that is not too bad, but i do have a large electricity bill coming up -- i am getting six months in one hit; and the car is due for a service and may require new brakes. 6 growth experiences horizontal vertical

Deca
You can do lots without a dongle as well ...but it is fun when you have your own set-up ...plus there are lots of other things you can do with a SDR
Deca
This is a great channel if you have an SDR
Deca
Remember you have to set up your RTL SDR dongle with the correct drivers ...windows automatically installs drivers to use as a TV/RADIO card rather than one allowing you to use as an SDR device when you first plug it in .... You only really have to do the Zadig part to get it to work ...... but calibrating it can be useful also, SDR Console is a great free software to use with a SDR dongle

tommydrifter
good morning netizens! i hope you find yourselves in good spirits at this time. i am somewhat congested but in good spirits. i have been having a cursory look at satellite tracking websites while sipping on my morning coffee. these are my three favourites. satellite tracking websites Dominic Ford https://in-the-sky.org/satmap_worldmap.php this is my favourite, and as far as i can tell, the best. Esri https://geoxc-apps2.bd.esri.com/Visualization/sat2/index.html this is cool as hell. worth it just for a visual of how many satellites are in orbit! NASA's Eyes on the Earth https://climate.nasa.gov/earth-now/#/vitalsign?vitalsign=satellites&altid=0&animating=f&start=&end= 3-d models of some of NASA's satellites involved in missions studying Earth science. 0 Satflare https://www.satflare.com/home.asp i also like this website. it was simple to find, and lock on to, for example, STARLINK-1027. at the time of writing, located over the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia -- now it has crossed the border and is over Yemen! jesus wept, these things move at a fair clip! tommydrifter
apply for a free ADS-B receiver from Flightradar24 https://www.flightradar24.com/apply-for-receiver i am not applying for one of these bad boys -- there are strings attached; but i thought it might be of interest to other people. the reason i came across this is because i am wanting to find a bricks-and-mortar store that sells these dongle receivers. so far, no luck finding one. otherwise, i am waiting until next month for my online order to arrive -- and i want to get started now. Deca, know of any bricks-and-mortar retailers that sell these dongle receivers?
tommydrifter
re: hacking the wireless world the presentation is technical but i am glad i watched it through. it is beyond my ability to understand the technical information but i get the picture; and i can see the applications. hacking the traffic message channel would be useful. i drove a taxi not long ago, so i am interested in this application of the technology. very interesting. It can track a large number of satellites and display their position and other data in lists, tables, maps, and polar plots (radar view). Gpredict can also predict the time of future passes for a satellite, and provide you with detailed information about each pass. Gpredict is different from other satellite tracking programs in that it allows you to group the satellites into visualisation modules. Each of these modules can be configured independently from the others giving you unlimited flexibility concerning the look and feel of the modules. Naturally, Gpredict will also allow you to track satellites relatively to different observer locations - at the same time. Gpredict is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License. This gives you the freedom to use and modify gpredict to suit your needs. Gpredict is available as source package as well as precompiled binaries available via third parties.

Yeah, there are so much you can do with a RTL SDR .....even more when you upgrade to a HackRF which has a much bigger range 1 mhz to 6 Ghz ...but cost around £150/£200 ...but you will no regret the dongle as it much easier to do the aircraft software with it than with a hackRF and is a cheap way to learn about the EM spectrum

tommydrifter
thanks, mate. i'm very excited about accessing the radio spectrum. just can't wait to get started. f.y.i., i've no background in this, so i'm winging it, going to learn on the fly. i gained some confidence with my tech. skills recently, when through perseverance, i resurrected my laptop computer (blue screen of death). it's been a learning experience. what got you on this path, Deca? you mentioned the video that got you into it -- did you just come across that video by chance? it's kind of a specialised field, this. i'm interested to know more... keep posting the videos, mate. i'm benefitting from your work but also it's bringing awareness to the issues. that's important because people need to know what's happening before it's too late... Deca
Obviously, I am a victim of electronic harassment ...or neuroweapons so I was looking how to detect them and stumbled across SDR stuff and realized they had cheap hardware and free software ...just what I was looking for . I use it as more of a learning tool and process of elimination easier to eliminate beliefs/assumptions about targeting than actually find evidence of it for now ....as it's rather complex and possibly using dual use/passive RADAR techniques and other frequency out the range of most detectors/SDR`s ... tommydrifter
...cheap hardware, free software -- and just look at what you can do? it is fantastic. for myself, i am approaching it as a learning experience, a way to get a deeper understanding of the science by actually getting my hands dirty. my interest is in the subject of physics, although that is not my background; regrettably, i flunked school. i suppose that is why i am here studying the woowoo -- but there is no money in it. ~ re: Deca's research i watched the webinar about radar sensing in assisted living. i had to watch it twice. on the second viewing i took notes because it is not easy to follow. this application of radio frequency technology is a privacy concern, no doubt. for the benefit of those who are unfamiliar with this, it is able to track people using Doppler signatures. ~ also, i might as well share that i have learned visualisations to protect myself against extremely low frequencies. my understanding is that this is the mind-control band. visualise a violet bubble with a reflective surface on the outside to protect yourself against extremely low frequencies. credit for this information goes to the team at www.expansions.com. they are the experts on mind-control, programming and deprogramming. if you think about it, what is a colour? it is a frequency... ~ anyway, just putting the information out there, got some more bits and pieces to post in a moment... i really wish i did not have to because this takes up a lot of my time -- and posting to the david icke forums pays me a grand total of $0.00. jesus wept. ~ i want to post a resource to your research thread, Deca: free education in the physical sciences. because this field is technical, i believe knowing this information might be useful. if we are going to mix it with the big boys, we have to understand the science; and to understand the science, we have to be able to do the math. just giving you a heads up, because i am hesitant to post at all.
