More fake accounts promoting the same bollocks (some of them semi manned if bot flags an intervention needed such as verification or something it is not able to parse etc) if this person thinks this and is heavily upvoted people are more likely to follow the upvoted crowd, its basic human psychology - I seem to rattle your status quo of not understanding the over labelling of groups who are ultimately the same group owned by the larger umbrella above. Not sure Q folks were called bots, they do seemingly get called a lot of names though. Would the bots not be best described as the mainstream? Twitter has been better since he took over, but that update to the algorithms seems dodgy. People are just fortunate that it won't limit a users reach to you if you follow them personally. That doesn't really promote good dialogue between different groups though, you'll just see a bunch of centrist or left-wing content in the trends.
