• International Man: Inflation, as measured by the government’s own crooked CPI statistics, recently hit a 40-year high. What is going on here?

Doug Casey: The Consumer Price Index (CPI) itself has been totally corrupted over the years, mainly by changing definitions of what it entails. That’s why it’s interesting to follow the work of a website called Shadow Statistics, where John Williams calculates the CPI and other government statistics using the parameters of 40 years ago.

He’s found that if the CPI was calculated the way it was in the Reagan era, that the actual reported CPI wouldn’t be 7%, but 15%. That makes intuitive sense to me. For over a year, I’ve asked people whether they believe their lying eyes or the government statistics regarding the CPI. The general price level is easily up 15%. That’s conservative. In my view, the US CPI is only marginally more reliable than its equivalent in Argentina—a country whose index is completely political and laughably inaccurate.

• I think consumer prices are going much higher. Even Powell has dropped his dishonest and idiotic use of the word “transitory” in regard to it. That’s because the Fed, the US central bank, continues to monetize $120 billion a month of government deficits. The money supply is skyrocketing upwards. At the same time, the Biden regime is enforcing loads of new regulations which act to decrease production.

Doug Casey: The Davos crowd has become the most visible element of the ruling class. Although, they overlap with lots of other groups who are pushing the same agenda—Bilderberg, CFR, and Bohemian Grove among them.

A couple of years ago, I wrote an article after I attended the Concordia, which is very similar, with exactly the same people. I don’t plan on going back. It was disturbing and depressing listening to soulless bigshots natter about the best way to rule the plebs.

• Eugenics is an attempt to produce genetically desirable children and to terminate the lives of those considered to be genetically inferior. Elements of eugenics exist everywhere. For example, when given the choice, people produce children with partners whom they find attractive. Part of them hopes that those attractive qualities will manifest in the offspring. A more extreme form is infanticide: killing children usually because of physical or mental deformity; a practice as old as humanity.¹ In Ancient Greece, Plato and Socrates (c. 470-399 BCE) suggested ways of breeding to promote the superior traits of the elite, as sickly infants were deliberately left to die of exposure.²

Today, there is a sensible and ethical side of what is often called eugenics. Examples include disabled children having operations to save their lives and individuals with learning difficulties asking for sterilisation because they can’t manage contraception and don’t want children. But institutions like the state, prisons, and medical facilities, as well as privileged elites, use eugenics as a way of trying to exterminate the elements of society whom they consider to be a burden. What started out as selective breeding and infanticide has today developed into forced sterilisation and genetic editing to produce “designer babies.” This thinking also informs certain depopulation agendas.

Next on the list is interest rates and mortgage rises. One of the most disgusting things that ever occurs for anyone to endure (within modern society that is) is house repossession. I can only imagine how distraught a family would be getting ejected from their home because some scumbag bank had doubled their repayments! This whole artificial way to allow banks to increase payments is such bullshit. Payments should be fixed for term - loan companies always make money from it no matter what, but allowing them the means to rob somebody of their home is sick.
