In a recent opinion piece, New York Times columnist Thomas L. Friedman claimed that the ongoing war in Ukraine is the first "real" World War. 

The column, originally headlined "Ukraine Is the First Real World War," was highlighted on both The New York Times’ and Friedman’s Twitter accounts Sunday. Both tweets can still be viewed; however, the column has since been given a new headline on the Times’ website.

The article is now headlined, "Putin Had No Clue How Many of Us Would Be Watching."

Biden Fast-tracks gay & tranny Ukrainian Refugees

The Biden administration has announced it will expedite the resettlement of LGBTQ+ Ukrainian refugees in the United States.

NBC News reported that the administration is also prioritizing the resettlement of Ukrainian activists and journalists...

“Overall we’ve been urging that they not bring in refugees the way they brought the Afghans in — via humanitarian parole without any pathway to assistance, status, or family reunification,” said Mark Hetfield, president and CEO of HIAS, a Jewish American organization providing assistance to refugees. “They should bring in Ukrainians the way they brought in Kosovars from Macedonia in 1999 — finalizing the refugee adjudication after they get to the U.S., to ensure they have all the protections to which they would be entitled as refugees.”

Whilst this thread hightligts imo crisis actors and very dubious reporting by MSM about all things Ukraine, I have no doubt that

innocent Ukrainians are being killed. I know that may sound like virtue signalling, but it's not meant to, just staying real.

It's not virtue signalling. People that immediately shout fake at everything, or those that worship NeoCons and other Kosher shills, they're just idiots. People could literally just talk to Ukrainians and Russians themselves, but most will just rely on shady Chinese whispers crap.

There's probably other wars going on in the world, with innocent people dying, but no one has ever heard of them or given a shit. Why is Ukraine so special? That's not directed at you, it's just a general comment/question. Probably some African or Middle Eastern backwater countries, so who cares about them, right?

I hate to say it, but I don't see the developing world as a threat to the elites, they're already at the level that the elites probably want them to be at. Things might be bad in Europe, but it's harder to wipe us out. You can just pay some warlords to start genociding in the third world.

I didn't mean so much for the elites (we all know their games). I mean, for the general public - why does the general public care so much about conflict X where innocent people are dying; but in conflict Y, where innocent people are also dying, they don't give two fucks? That's always fascinated me.

Well, years ago people would naturally care if their tribe was under attack. Obviously that's not the case here though, because most Europeans are deracinated and have no in-group preference. It's just people following what is trendy. Most westerners side with the Brave New World vision for the future, not Xi's 1984 dystopian model, but who would really want either? I mean the lockdowns in China are still going, so they're not based, just a different flavour of evil. People will obviously just follow the media and celeb nuts too, most peoples views come from the TV goblin or other mainstream press.

You make very astute points. Can't really argue with any of that. Well as for retarded statements, they have trained people to accept the most retarded statements in history during the Covid era, so now they can literally say just about anything and no one will question it.
