Typical Russians. That's badass ;-) Notice no LGBTQ+ flags waving.

From the artist:

“It so happened that that very Tower of Babel was never completed because of the discord between people and entire nations. The current one, which we are collecting for Maslenitsa in Nikola-Lenivets, serves as a modern symbol of the same discord. The events associated with the pandemic have given rise to new conflicts and clashes."

Big thanks for the link.

My head starts to explode when I try to consider how human beings within  say 50 metres of each other along   borders  worldwide have somehow managed to communicate  in completely different languages ?

I would love to know  exactly how that happened

It seems patently obvious to me that if humanity could speak in a common language , then we could very quickly and collectively address the  fact that our world is run by Psychopathic lunatics.

What I would like to know is how did " they" ( whoever we define them as) do that ?

Depends what groups of human beings we're talking about and whether they always lived side by side or came from elsewhere. Languages have been mixed up too. Look at English for example, a mix of Germanic and Latin. Languages also have offshoots.

'Linguists believe that English developed from the speculative Proto-Indo-European language spoken by pre-historic peoples. This language branched into several offshoots, including Germanic, which in turn split into North, West and East Germanic. From the West Germanic offshoot, Old English came into being and was in use from 450 to 1066 A.D. This early form of English shifted into Middle English, which transformed gradually into Modern English around 1550.'

It would be interesting to go back and see language develop from grunts and clicking noises.

Before China's internet firewall we would have had a good chance at having a dialogue with the other side, especially with a shared language, but now I'm not so sure.

It might have been natural. Humans are tribal.

He's such a creep...

Hannity: Nuke Russia 'Off The Face Of The Earth' If They Use WMDs - 'We Can't Cower In Fear' Over Mutually Assured Destruction

Hannity, who gets paid $45 million a year by the Murdochs to shill the neocons' agenda and wears a CIA pin every night on his lapel, is happy to risk nuclear annihilation in defense of the corrupt puppet government in Ukraine.

Biden is slammed for his 'unscripted' declaration that Putin 'cannot remain in power': Experts fear 'off-the-cuff' remark will escalate tensions

  • Biden appeared to call for regime change in Russia during speech on Saturday on Warsaw
  • 'For God's sake this man cannot remain in power,' he said in unscripted remark
  • The call for Putin's removal from power alarmed foreign policy experts who say it will escalate tensions
  • They warn that appearing to back Putin into a corner could give him 'nothing to lose'
  • Kremlin responded with instant fury to Biden's comment, saying the US has no say in Putin's leadership
  • White House scrambled to attempt to clarify Biden's remarks, insisting he was not calling for regime change

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10656033/Experts-slam-Biden-unprecedented-call-regime-change-Russia.html

This comes after he told US soldiers in Poland to get ready to seeing the tanks in Ukraine, which the WH also had to scramble to correct. Brandon's gaffes are going to destroy us all.

White House is forced to make correction after Biden suggested US troops WOULD be sent into Ukraine and had already been there in speech slip up to paratroopers in Poland

  • White House clarified on Friday that American troops would not go to Ukraine
  • Followed Biden's comments to the 82nd Airborne Division in Poland
  • 'You’re going to see when you’re there... you’re going to see women, young people, standing in the middle, in front of a damn tank,' he said
  •  Biden's mention of 'when you're there' seem to suggest troops would be sent in
  • But the White House insisted the stance on US boots on the ground is the same
  • Biden also brought up his late son's Beau tours in Iraq during his remarks
  • He also told paratroopers 'don't jump' and suggested some might think lines in the Declaration of Independence are 'corny'
  • Later he referred to the war and the courage of the Ukrainian people as 'Tiananmen Square squared'
  • He added he wanted to go into Ukraine, but was told he wasn't allowed

Consider a time where there might not have been nearly as many languages as now, or more specifically about 500 years ago (diversity has gone down from 1000+ to about half?). Maybe just the one? The primary candidate for that would be telepathy.

If at some point a 'linguistic diaspora' happened, i don't have the answer as to the who and how. There is certainly a lot of evidence for the devolution of communication though, and i feel it's crucial to try and fix that to some extent, as quickly as possible.
