Those large backdrop video screens, shown at the start and at the end of the video, to pretend to BBC news viewers that there is a real active newsroom in the background is indicative of the whole fake news theatre show. Nothing on the BBC is what it seems.

This is merely a a 3D chess move by Putin, and one that should have been done long ago if you ask me.

In order to join NATO a country must have NO DISPUTED BORDER TERRITORY, as long as Kiev recognizes these regions as part of Ukraine the country is blocked from Joining NATO.

Western Media don;t seem to be hanging about the streets of Donetsk much, wonder why ??????

So I didn't get to look at the news websites this morning before I went to work, but one of my colleagues told me this afternoon that'd they'd heard on the radio that "Russia had invaded Ukraine".

This evening, I had a look at the BBC News website.

LIVE: US and UK warn of beginning of Ukraine invasion

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-europe-60454795

Quote

Summary

  1. The US and UK say Russia's order to deploy troops to eastern Ukraine amounts to the "beginning of an invasion"
  2. It's not clear if any Russian troops have yet been sent into two breakaway regions that are run by Moscow-backed separatists
  3. The upper house of parliament in Moscow has authorised President Putin to use the military abroad
  4. Vladimir Putin says he recognises the borders of the breakaway Donetsk and Luhansk regions as outlined in their constitutions - which includes Ukrainian held territory
  5. US President Biden is due to speak from the White House shortly
  6. Western countries are imposing sanctions on Russia following the escalation in the crisis
  7. The EU has announced measures targeting Russian MPs who voted in favour of recognising the breakaway areas and also targeting banks
  8. Germany has put on hold a major gas pipeline project from Russia, Nord Stream 2
  9. The UK has imposed sanctions on three wealthy individuals with close links to President Putin and five Russian banks

So unless I'm reading this incorrectly, there hasn't been any 'actual invasion', just the usual Western media/government "warning".

Once again, its the use of "could / maybe / possible" rather than what's actually happening.

The western media and US / UK governments seem to know more about what Putin is planning than Putin himself.

The whole documentary 'Hypernormalisation' is recommended watching, as it shows how the same tricks get played over and over again.

From The Daily Express, the purveyors of the minimum, once weekly "World War 3 Fears of Imminent Armageddon" story, churned out for God knows how long for.  Their latest top fear porn story at the moment.

Horror map shows EXACT locations in UK to be decimated if Russia drops nuke on London

A NUKE MAP has shown what would happen if the Capital was targeted by Russia as war in Europe is looking increasingly likely.

Fears of conflict have escalated as Vladimir Putin ignores calls to back down over the Ukraine crisis. Chilling maps show what would happen if London was to be targeted by a Russian nuclear bomb if east-west tensions result in World War 3.

Nukemap is a site created by science historian Alex Wellerstein which shows the nuclear fallout if some of the world's most notorious bombs were to hit London.

According to Nukemap, if Russia was to use a Topol (SS-25) - a missile already in its possession - it could kill almost one million people and injure 2.2 million others if dropped on the Capital.

The blast range of the weapon would engulf the entire city impacting northern towns like Enfield right down to southern towns such as Croydon.

Inner-city residents would likely suffer the most devastating consequences such as severe third-degree burns that would completely destroy victims' pain receptors.

I do not know what to make of all this. NATO has been pushing east for years now, hoping to pen Russia in, at least European Russia. British, American, and French military advisers have been in Ukraine for a while now and let's not forget that lovable hero, John McCain, who, with Soros, was happy to help engineer a colour revolution there some years back. The West loves to poke the bear but I hope sense prevails and they back off before it spirals out of control. Russia does not want NATO missiles on its borders and who can blame them? What would America do if Russian bases became established in Mexico? Having said all of that, I don't believe a word coming out of the Western press, or the Russian press for that matter.

Typical media fear machine.  The Russians discovered during the "Tsar Bomba" experiment that a nuke that big is completely impractical to use, the aircraft dropping the bomb could not escape the shockwave fast enough and was damaged, resorting in a crash landing.  It's also far too heavy a weight to stick on top of a missile.   Any aircraft carrying the device would be shot down long before it reached its target. It's a pretty safe bet that even in the event of All-Out Nuclear Armageddon the Tsar Bomba wouldn't be used!  Far more reliable to use smaller tactical nukes.  A small device in the middle of the UK would completely cripple us anyway, if you think about it, just a bit of snow or wind and this country is fucked, what chance we got with a nuke or two!!!!

what do you think happens when a nuke encounters a large hill.

its ineffective

It's always go to show how thick they think the general population are, the shockwave damage is always represented as a series of completely perfect circles no matter where the target is, no factoring in atmospherics, topography or buildings at all!

This post from John Ward's excellent blog "The Slog" (www.threalslog.com) sums up quite nicely where we are right now...

French diplomat confirms: 'no new Russian troops in the Donbass'.

meangry-3.png?w=251 Slog scoop

'President Biden’s sanctions package, announced Tuesday, was useful, as was the German decision to halt moving forward with the Nordstream 2 gas pipeline from Russia. But these moves won’t stop Putin, who is obsessed with restoring his warped vision of Russian greatness' - Philadelphia Enquirer

The American mainstream media calling anyone 'warped' is up there with Adolf Hitler calling Ernst Rohm a pervert, but the main warp speed I can see in all this is the crew of USS Enterprise heading at Factor 9 for an invasion that still hasn't happened. It's like watching one never-ending 'dog with a bone' interview by a Jeremy Paxman style TV interviewer:

ukrainemad3-1.png?w=181

"Yes, but has Mr Putin actually invaded anywhere yet?" he asks. General Ernest G. Rockfist Jr replies:

"Well, he's sent troops to the Donbass..."

"He's signed an order allowing that, but have they invaded?"

"To the best of my intelligence going forward at this moment in time, there are Russian troops in the Donbass space, yessir".

"But have any shots been fired?"

"I have no definitive affirmation on that point, but that's Putin, see? He's slippier than snot on a glass doorknob, it's a stealth invasion...."

"Your intelligence named three dates when you were sure he'd invade, but he didn't...."

"Technically, that is correct sir...we caught the little bastard out so he had to change his plans"

"I see. Do you have any photographic evidence of Russian troops in the Donbass?"

"Not as such sir, no. But they're there alright, an' that's why we godda have sanctions"

I spent a couple of hours last night online trying to establish the truth or otherwise of whether any invasion had taken place. American sources said the White House was "unclear on the subject".

But first thing this morning, a Parisian source told me this:

"It is now clear that there have been Russian peacekeeping troops in the Donbass for at least five years. Their presence there has been maintained. Putin has signed a decree allowing for further troops to go there, but there is no NATO evidence as yet that any new troops have arrived".

So it's official: Vladimir Putin has not invaded the Ukraine. Full-time base on Mars not established today. No additional multi-pathogen deaths among over 75s globally last year. January 6th 2021 not an insurrection, fact checkers say. No western politicians condemning behaviour of Canadian copthugs just yet.

IABATO! (It's All Bollocks And That's Official!)

Tests are carried out at sea level, underground, or under the ocean. The actual weapons are deployed at altitude so mountains etc. will not be a factor.  They are even more destructive when set off at a few thousand feet.

Russia have been planning this for years and the idea that sanctions are going to stop them is absurd. Nobody can do anything about this and they all know it. They can't use nukes and the west will most certainly not get involved in ground fighting. Watch, coming to an area near you - China will "reclaim" Taiwan and maybe that mad Kim Jong-un will invade South Korea.

If memory serves, both Hiroshima and Nagasaki were air bursts.

I know that they are set off above the ground, but for you to say topography doesn't effect the shockwave is erroneous.  The bombs certainly don't give off perfectly concentric circles of damage, which was what my point was anyway.  Certain effects can make the bombs more devastating not less.

I don't believe this is a case of other countries turning a blind eye this time, granted they did it with Crimea, but Ukraine proper?  The Ukrainian military isn't small and will put up a massive fight that will drag the surrounding countries into the conflict.  We are looking at the seeds of WW3.  Can't use nukes?  Not large strategic ones, but tactical ones on a battlefield could be a possibility.
