Nearly HALF of tap water in U.S. is laced with hormone-warping 'forever chemicals' linked to cancer and infertility, major government study finds - with worst-hit areas in Cali, Eastern Seaboard, Great Lakes and Great Plains

By Cassidy Morrison Senior Health Reporter For Dailymail.Com

Updated: 23:18 BST, 6 July 2023

Almost half of all tap water sources in the US are laced with toxic PFAS ‘forever chemicals’, according to a major official study.

Experts said the findings were 'frightening' given the scale of the problem and the link between the toxins and serious health conditions like cancer, infertility, birth defects and hormone issues.

In the most comprehensive study of its kind, researchers from the US Geological Survey tested water sources at more than 700 locations across the country for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

EXCLUSIVE: Risk of cancer and pregnancy complications up to 70% higher in neighborhoods where tap water is most contaminated with PFAS 'forever chemicals' — with counties in North Carolina and Iowa among worst-affected

By Cassidy Morrison Senior Health Reporter For Dailymail.Com

Updated: 20:38 BST, 11 July 2023

Cities with the highest levels of toxic 'forever chemicals' in tap water also have above-average rates of disease and pregnancy complications, a DailyMail.com analysis suggests.

The majority of neighborhoods with the highest levels of PFAS chemicals in drinking water suffer more cancer diagnoses and deaths than the rest of the country each year and see more babies born at dangerously low weights.

Experts said the findings were 'concerning' and that they warranted a 'national study' into whether PFAS contamination is causing serious health problems across the country, though they cautioned the correlation was not definitive proof of a link.

The Great Forever Chemical Cover-up: Most studies that link PFAS to serious health problems 'are flying under the radar', scientists warn - amid growing evidence manufacturers suppressed true dangers of toxins

By Cassidy Morrison Senior Health Reporter For Dailymail.Com

Updated: 15:15 BST, 18 July 2023

A small fraction of the most compelling evidence pointing to the harms posed by forever chemicals, including birth defects and elevated cancer risk, gets the public attention it deserves.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, have been lurking in drinking water and the air we breathe for decades. A product of large-scale manufacturing and industry, the substances will persist for at least that long due to the glacial pace at which they degrade in the environment.

The so-called ‘forever chemicals’ remain in the bloodstream and organs for years at a time before clearing out of the body via urination, and because the chemicals are ever-present in daily life, from lining on nonstick cookware to run off from pesticides into the water supply, the body is continuously bombarded with them.

FrankenMeats are here: Soybeans are being genetically engineered to grow pig protein

A company out of the UK - Moolec - has developed a new line of soybeans called Piggy Sooy. These new soybeans are genetically engineered to produce pig proteins. The new soybean crops will be harvested traditionally and will be incorporated into “plant-based meats” and other substitute meat products. Researchers are warning about the genetic and generational consequences of these experimental gene edits.

Soybeans and other common crops to be replaced with genetically engineered meat substitute crops

Moolec is poised to profit from the latest CRISPR-Cas gene-editing experiment that effectively splices conventional soya to create a soybean with 26.6 percent animal protein. Due to the gene edits, the interior portion of this new soybean hybrid presents a rosy flesh color. The company claims that these new hybrids will provide similar taste, texture, and nutritional value as animal meat. The company is currently working on a pea plant that produces cow protein. The exact animal genes used in these experiments are considered trade secrets.

“Moolec has developed a unique, successful, and patentable platform for the expression of highly valuable proteins in the seeds of economically important crops such as soybeans,’ says Amit Dhingra, the company's chief science officer. “This achievement opens up a precedent for the entire scientific community that is looking to achieve high levels of protein expression in seeds via molecular farming.”

These new Frankenfoods are designed to be the “alternative” to traditional meat, which includes raising and slaughtering pigs/cows for human consumption. Animal husbandry is now considered a threat to the climate and is being phased out all around the world to make way for the globalists’ genetic experimentation and control over the food supply. These new Frankenfoods are intended to provide more options for consumers who might reject lab-grown, petri-dish meat strains that are also currently in production. The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently authorized the sale of cell-cultivated chicken on June 21. Chicken meat will soon be grown from stem cells in a bioreactor.

Study warns that CRISP-Cas gene editing of plants will have dire consequences

CRISPR-Cas gene editing wreaks havoc in the plant genome, as documented in a new study - A CRISPR-induced DNA break can trigger crossover, chromosomal loss, and chromothripsis-like rearrangements. It turns out there are alarming issues that come from genetic experiments involving plant and animal gene splicing.

“Recent scientific findings have revealed chromothripsis-like effects after the application of CRISPR/Cas gene editing in the genome of tomatoes ... Chromothripsis refers to a phenomenon in which often several hundred genetic changes occur simultaneously in a catastrophic event. Many sections of the genetic material can be swapped, recombined, or even lost if this occurs ...” The same phenomenon of gene swapping, gene recombination, and gene loss also occurs in human and mammalian cells that are subjected to gene editing.

Test Biotech explains that “when both strands of DNA are cut, as is typically the case with the CRISPR/Cas, the ends of the chromosomes can lose contact with each other. If the repair of the break in the chromosomes fails, the severed ends can be lost, restructured, or incorporated elsewhere.” They warn that the consequences of ‘cutting’ the genome "are to some extent unpredictable and uncontrollable." Test Biotech concludes: "Plants obtained from new genetic engineering (New GE) cannot, therefore, be regarded as safe per se, and need to be thoroughly investigated for risks. Without exact genomic analyses, chromothripsis can be easily overlooked. It is, for example, not unlikely that it also occurred in plants obtained from New GE that were already deregulated in the US.”

FDA approves first over-the-counter oral contraceptive despite risks: Depression, cancer, poor intimacy, weaker offspring

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Thursday approved the country’s first hormonal birth control pill for over-the-counter sale despite its significant health risks to women.

Opill, a life-prevention pill manufactured by French drugmaker HRA Pharma, is a progestin-only daily contraceptive that will now be available for sale without a prescription. It is expected to be available in stores for over-the-counter purchase beginning early next year.

Progestin is a synthetic form of progesterone, a hormone secreted during pregnancy. Progestin fools the female body into thinking it is already pregnant and thereby prevents conception.

“Today’s approval marks the first time a nonprescription daily oral contraceptive will be an available option for millions of people in the United States,” the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research Director Dr. Patrizia Cavazzoni said in a statement.

“When used as directed, daily oral contraception is safe and is expected to be more effective than currently available nonprescription contraceptive methods in preventing unintended pregnancy,” Cavazzoni said. The FDA expressed hope that its approval will reduce unwanted pregnancies, estimated at three million a year.

Media and feminist operatives are cheering the news while dismissing the pill’s significant health risks as “conservative influencer talking points”.

“Major conservative influencers have coalesced in recent months around talking points that connect birth control with a variety of negative health outcomes, which experts say instill fear in women who could otherwise benefit from using birth control,” MSNBC tweeted this month.

Those “negative health outcomes” include a 20%–30% increased risk of breast cancer among women who take hormonal contraceptives. Furthermore, according to a Danish study of over one million women, those who took progestin-only hormonal contraceptives were 34% more likely to be diagnosed with depression or be prescribed antidepressants. The number shot up to 80% among teenage girls.

But hormonal birth control also poses other serious health risks, both to women and humanity as a whole.

Studies have found that sexual attraction is in part determined by a block of genetic code referred to as the major histocompatibility complex (MHC). As they approach ovulation, healthy women are attracted to men with masculine features and who are MHC-dissimilar, meaning they carry a distinctly different genetic code. This genetic disparity leads to more robust immune systems in offspring and has allowed humans to develop strong defenses against various pathogens and diseases.

Is it Something in the Water?

Why do so many now identify as LGBT, especially among younger generations? The statistics from a recent U.S. Gallup poll for such identification are stark:

  • Generation Z (1997-2003): 20.8%
  • Millennials (1981-1996): 10.5%
  • Generation X (1965-1980): 4.2%
  • Baby boomers (1946-1964): 2.6%
  • Traditionalists (before 1946): 0.8%

It’s been suggested that the main explanation for this massive shift in identities and behaviours is a change in cultural attitudes, put into overdrive in the last two decades by the internet, social media and smartphones. According to the poll, a record 7.1% of adults in the U.S. now identify as LGBT, a figure that has doubled since 2012. Gallup Senior Editor Jeff Jones said that “population change is what is driving this”.

However, some scientists have suggested that there may be a biological cause and not just a social one. In particular, certain hormones found in the contraceptive pill have been found accumulating in drinking water supplies and may be affecting human sexual functioning and psychology. The hormones appear primarily in the form of oestradiol (EE2), the most potent form of oestrogen, and these hormones enter the water via the sewage system. Researchers found this potent hormone in 80% of the water at the 50 sites they tested.

One study carried out by the Environment Agency showed that oestrogenically active substances discharged into the environment had led to the feminisation of male fish, causing them to effectively switch sexes. Many fish have been found with both male and female sexual organs, and the fertility of male fish has declined to such an extent that some freshwater fish species have been extinguished. At this stage, experts worry more about hormones than general pharmaceuticals, because while highly concentrated levels of medication are required before our bodies are affected, small amounts of hormones can have an impact.

“EE2 is a very potent chemical,” said Professor Susan Jobling of Brunel University. “It is designed to have effects in the human body at very low levels. That means it will also have a significant impact in the environment. While medical researchers may understand the effects of a one-off prescribed dose, they do not yet understand the effects of a permanent presence of the drugs in our bloodstream.”

Unsurprisingly, neither the British Government, the pharmaceutical companies nor the water suppliers are keen on any clean-up effort, and the pharmaceutical industry is actively lobbying against it over fears that it would have to contribute to the £30 billion bill.

“The question we have to ask ourselves is straightforward,” said Professor Richard Owen, a former Head of Environment and Health at the U.K. Environment Agency. “Are we willing to pay up or would we rather settle for environmental damage associated with flexible fertility?”

Separately, studies have suggested that gender dysphoria may have biological causes associated with the development of gender identity before birth. According to Dr. Ananya Mandalay:

Gender dysphoria usually means a difficulty in identifying with the biological sex in an individual. Now there is evidence that the disease may not have origins in the brain alone. Studies suggest that gender dysphoria may have biological causes associated with the development of gender identity before birth. Although there is no research that shows that males or females exposed to synthetic progesterone in the womb or other oestrogenic drugs, such as diethylstilbestrol (DES) may have a raised risk of gender dysphoria, there may be an association in some atypical aspects of gender role behaviour.

In recent years, scientists have found evidence that the brains of women on the pill look fundamentally different. Compared to women who aren’t taking hormones, some regions of their brains seem to be more typically ‘male’.

“Synthetic progestins are related to the chemical structure of testosterone. All the derivatives came out to levonorgestrel, which is the most used or known of the progestins,” says Regine Sitruk-Ware, a reproductive endocrinologist at the Population Council, New York. “It is still androgenic by itself, by the fact that it can bind to the androgen receptors.”

More recently scientists have developed versions made from synthetic progesterone that have the opposite effects and are feminising and these too can have undesirable side-effects involving hormonal imbalance. Medical advice is to stop taking the pill whilst pregnant “as a precaution“.

At this stage there is not enough research to be able to draw firm conclusions about the role these chemicals might be playing in the recent explosion in LGBT identities and behaviours. But the known impacts of the hormones on the women taking them, as well as on fish in the wild, suggest there may be an issue here. How long do you think we’ll have to wait before our Government takes it seriously and investigates properly?

Alert! New ‘Redesigned GMO’s’ Being Forced on Farmers and Consumers

Within the fortified corridors of politico-industrial power in Washington and in the hallowed bastion of the European Commission in Brussels, the same dark plans are being pushed forward: to alter the genetic code of life so as to make both man and nature patentable, controllable and servile to the cause of the techno-industrial god of insentient progress.

The latest manifestation of this process has now emerged within the food and farming sector and strongly threatens the future of all ‘GMO Free’ produce and terrains. It goes under the deliberately innocuous heading ‘New Genomic Techniques’ (NGT).

Read on for the full story…

The US agribusiness industry set the agricultural genetic engineering agenda more than two decades ago, when a judge in a New York court room pronounced GMO and conventionally grown food ‘indistinguishable’. A judgement that went against the  essential scientific evidence and played into the gleeful hands of the biotech industry. The precise term used was ‘substantial equivalence’.

This allowed the marketing of US GMO foods to go ahead with no labelling to warn consumers of its composition or provenance, thus denying them the right to choose.

US farmers have been likewise left to fight for the right to sell their seeds and grains as ‘GMO Free’, as the Monsanto corporation gave itself the authority to fine any farmer suffering the misfortune of having their crop contaminated by rogue GM varieties whose pollen was carried by wind or insects onto their farmland. Yes, prosecuted for being found to have a Monsanto patented GM plant growing on their field!

From the outset, European farmers and consumers strongly resisted attempts to get GMO’s into the food chain and onto the fields. Battles to uphold the sovereignty of ‘real foods’ and the right for organic and traditional produce to be legally protected against GM cross contamination, raged throughout the 1990’s and beyond – right the way up to the present day*.

Consequently, in spite of intense GM industry lobbying of the EU Commission in Brussels, less than 2% of European farmland grows GM crops.

Stung by their failure to make progress – and the subsequent collapse of the Monsanto corporation – the wounded GM battleship came up with a guileful sleight of hand to try and beat the regulatory protection of a largely GMO Free Europe.

They invented something called ‘Gene Edited’ crops going under the synonym ‘CRISPR’ (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats). Gene editing, they claim, is not the same as introducing foreign bacteria into the seed genome to make it resistant to an intensive chemical spraying regime.

Gene editing, they posit, simply removes/alters genes to make the plant perform according to the requirements of the biotech control program. A program that exerts sufficient ‘alteration’ to the natural composition of the plant to make it patentable as a ‘novel food’, thus enabling all profits to flow back into the pockets of the ‘designer’ corporations.

Recognising that a particularly cunning Trojan Horse was being designed to get ‘GMO by another name’ into the food chain, activists clubbed together and took the case to the European Court of Justice.

On 25 July 2018, the court rejected the bio-tech industry’s claim that CRISPR was no longer a GMO, clarifying that organisms created by new mutagenesis techniques are subject to existing EU GMO laws. A great victory for the defence of food sovereignty and the preservation of the natural biodiversity of farm crops.

But the GMO and chemical agribusiness behemoth knows no end to its determination to exert its sterile stamp on nature. Just four corporations now own more than 50% of the total world seed market. Their bio-piracy of original seed genomes and subsequent attempt to patent (privatise) ‘living organisms of nature’ has re-emerged in a new attempt to overthrow resistance to gene engineering.

The new deception is called New Genomic Techniques (NGT) and its right to operate is now starting its passage through the legislative assessment process at the European Commission.

WARNING: there is nothing about NGT’s that carries any benefit for the environment or food quality. Quite the opposite, it is a further tinkering with the genetics of life, whose purpose is solely to move living organisms out of traditional cross-breeding practices and into patented laboratory created industrial designer-foods. Foods able to be manipulated to ultimately replace the need for existing soil/field based agricultural traditions practised by millions of farmers throughout the world.

This agenda is a central component of the World Economic Forum programme known as ‘The Great Reset’ and particularly its ‘Green New Deal’ and ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’. Shockingly it is supported by the once ‘green’ King Charles III of England, who operates alongside WEF executive chairman Klaus Schwab and recently gave Royal Assent to new biotech innovations which stand at the opposite end of the spectrum from organic and agro-ecological farming practices.

Consumers in Europe have demanded the ‘right to know’ the provenance and composition of their foods, but the ability to hold onto this right is being undermined even as I write. The new GM legislation has recently been under debate in the European parliament and will later come under the scrutiny of the EU Board of Ministers. Italy, Austria and Holland are strongly opposed, but other countries are yet to show their colours.

GMO ingredients have to be labelled as such within the EU. But NGT’s won’t carry this requirement, if they come into law. A whole range of existing risk assessment precautions will go, as the parameters of what is GMO and what is not, get deliberately blurred and diffused.

There will be no mechanisms for enabling conventional non organic foods staying ‘GMO Free’; farmers and consumers alike will be disenfranchised from their commitment to food sovereignty.

If this agenda is adopted, there will be no detection rules and no methods of monitoring the status of crops.

Now is the moment to DEMAND that the Minister of Agriculture and Minister of the Environment in your country, never allow NGT’s to get onto the statute books during their term of office. Demand that they completely reject the New Genomic Techniques bill which they will be called to vote on in the European Commission.

If you want to retain an element of control over your and your children’s health and over the food you eat, as well as help preserve the vital biodiversity of nature within this planet’s irreplaceable natural environment, then make sure to take this vital step today!

Researchers find evidence of toxic chemicals from cosmetics and plastics in the blood of pregnant women

In a study published in the Environmental Health Perspectives journal, California researchers found new evidence that several chemicals used in plastic production and other industrial applications are commonly present in the blood of pregnant women, creating increased health risks for mothers and their babies.

The study recruited and enrolled women from the Chemicals in Our Bodies cohort in San Francisco between 2014 and 2018. These women were 18-40 years of age, English or Spanish speaking, pregnant with only one baby, in their second trimester and had no diagnosed pregnancy complications at recruitment.

Researchers collected paired maternal and umbilical cord blood from all 302 participants who agreed to bank their samples and be contacted for participation in future studies.

Toxic industrial chemicals are harming mothers and infants

Researchers detected nine environmental chemicals in the serum samples – at least four chemicals in maternal samples and three chemicals in cord samples. These chemicals were:

Perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) – these include branched perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), linear PFOS, and perfluorohexane sulfonate (PFHxS)

Deoxycholic acid – a bile acid associated with gestational diabetes

Tridecanedioic acid and octadecanedioic acid – abnormal fatty acids that have exogenous sources, primarily from plastics synthesis

Monoethylhexyl phthalate (MEHP) – a metabolite of diethylhexyl phthalate, a common plasticizer

Tetraethylene glycol (TEG) – a plasticizer and solvent used in cosmetics, metal and printing inks

4-Nitrophenol – a known endocrine disruptor used in dyes, pharmaceuticals and pesticides

PFHxS, linear PFOS, deoxycholic acid and octadecanedioic acid were all detected in at least 97 percent of maternal samples. Deoxycholic acid, tridecanedioic acid and PFHxS were detected in at least 87 percent of cord blood samples.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), current peer-reviewed scientific studies have shown that PFAS can cause:

Developmental delays in children, including low birth weight, accelerated puberty, bone variations and behavioral changes

Increased cholesterol levels and/or risk of obesity

Increased risk of some cancers, including prostate, kidney and testicular cancers

Hormone disruption

Reduced ability of the body's immune system to fight infections

Reproductive issues such as decreased fertility or increased high blood pressure in pregnant women

Researchers associated many of the chemicals found in the maternal blood samples with an increased risk of gestational diabetes (the rates of which are climbing in the U.S.), pre-eclampsia (a serious and sometimes deadly pregnancy complication) and pregnancy-related hypertension.

Meanwhile, tridecanedioic acid and octadecanedioic acid have previously only been documented in people suffering from Reye’s syndrome – a rare but serious condition that affects all organs of the body, particularly the brain and the liver. Reye's syndrome causes an acute increase of pressure within the brain and, often, massive accumulations of fat in the liver and other organs.

The researchers said their study should be a wake-up call as their findings add to a growing body of evidence showing that many chemicals people are routinely exposed to are leading to subtle but harmful changes in health.

Vaping dangers: Study reveals second-hand smoke from e-cigarettes contains 22 times the safe level of certain toxins

Many people think electronic cigarettes (e-cigs) are "safer" than regular cigarettes, but a study has found that they are still bad for you. The results of the study revealed that second-hand e-cig smoke is linked to many health issues.

Details of the study were published in the journal Drug and Alcohol Dependence.

The study findings disprove the common belief of many e-cigarette users that vapes are safe to use in public, indoors or near non-smokers because they do not produce the traditional pungent smoke released by traditional cigarettes. This could be because many vape devices often have a rather pleasant or non-offensive odor. Sometimes, they may even produce a pleasant or fruity-smelling vapor.

Regular cigarettes contain thousands of chemicals, dozens of which are classified as carcinogens.

E-cig smoke is full of particulate matter

The scientists reported that a smoker who uses a disposable or pod-based device, like the popular Juul, emits at least 22 times the safe level of microscopic toxins called particulate matter (PM). These toxins are small enough that when inhaled, they can cause respiratory issues and enter the bloodstream.

Researchers from universities in Virginia and North Carolina have discovered that when e-cigarette users smoked in their cars for less than 10 minutes, the air around them was filled with possibly poisonous particulate matter called PM2.5.

PM2.5 refers to PM with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers or smaller. The toxins can come from both natural and man-made sources, like the burning of fossil fuels.

When inhaled, PM2.5 penetrates the lungs and irritates the entire respiratory system.

Study finds 25 types of FLAME RETARDANTS in human breast milk

A new peer-reviewed research has identified 25 kinds of toxic flame retardants in human breast milk in the U.S., and all samples contained at least some level of the dangerous chemicals – posing "disturbing" health risks for breastfeeding infants.

The study published in Environmental Pollution analyzed breast milk from 50 mothers across the U.S. for a suite of brominated flame retardants (BFRs) 10 years after the phaseout of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) in the United States.

Researchers at Toxic-Free Future, Emory University, the University of Washington and Seattle Children's Research Institute assessed current exposures to BFRs and the impact of changing use patterns in levels of PBDEs and current-use compounds in breast milk.

The compounds analyzed include 37 PBDEs, 18 bromophenols and 11 other BFRs.

PBDEs are a group of brominated flame retardants that are found in a range of widely used consumer products, including electronics and electrical equipment (e.g., cabling, computers, fax machines, printers and television sets), transportation materials (e.g., plastics and upholstery in cars) and textiles (e.g., carpets and upholstery).

A total of 25 BFRs were detected, including nine PBDEs, eight bromophenols and eight other BFRs found in every sample. The chemicals are thought to be potent neurotoxins, especially for developing children, said toxicologist and study co-author Erika Schreder.

How to avoid hormone disrupting chemicals

Discover where they hide in cosmetics and household products

Hormone disruptors, also known as endocrine disruptors (EDCs), are synthetic chemicals and compounds that hinder the body’s endocrine (hormone) system by producing adverse effects on the endocrine glands.

They interfere with the production, transport, metabolism and excretion of natural hormones in the body causing a host of hormonal issues including infertility, endometriosis, early puberty and hormone-related cancers.

EDCs also negatively affect growth and development, immune function, the brain and nervous system.

Learn more about hormone disruptors, where to find them lurking and how to avoid these toxic chemicals in cosmetics, personal care products and household items.

The endocrine system represents a collection of glands that secrete hormones directly into the bloodstream. The glands include the hypothalamus, pituitary and pineal gland (all located in the brain), the thyroid gland, four parathyroid glands (located in the neck, next to the two thyroid gland lobes), two adrenal glands (these sit on top of the kidneys), the endocrine portion of the pancreas, the thymus (located in the chest) and the gonads (ovaries and testes).

Hormones are chemical messengers that travel through the bloodstream to arrive at target tissues with specific receptor sites. They enable cells to talk to each other and are responsible for most functions on the body. Each hormone has target cells it communicates with; messages will only be passed on to cells that recognise the specific hormones.

Common endocrine disruptors

  • Atrazazine is a type of herbicide used on crops such as corn and on golf courses and residential lawns.
  • Bisphenol A (BPA) is found in many plastic products including water bottles, tap water, food storage containers and canned food.
  • Dioxins are a group of chemicals classed as persistent environmental pollutants (POPs). They are a by-product of manufacturing processes such as herbicide production and paper bleaching which are released into the air from waste burning and end up in the food chain.
  • Glycol ethers are a group of solvents used in paints, cleaning agents, liquid soaps and cosmetics.
  • Parabens are used as preservatives in many personal care products and pharmaceuticals.
  • PFAS (per- and polyfuoroalkyl substances) are a large group of chemicals used in food packaging, non-stick pans, fire-fighting foams, paints, cleaning products and drinking water (due to contamination).
  • Phthalates give plastics flexibility and durability so they are used in food packaging, vinyl flooring, wall coverings and children’s toys. Phthalates are also used in makeup, personal care products (shampoos, body wash etc), fragrances and perfumes as they help the longevity of the product and also make the scent linger after it has been washed off.
  • Polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDE) are used to make flame retardants and are added to plastics, carpets and foam to prevent them burning.
  • Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are highly toxic industrial compounds that are used in electrical and hydraulic equipment, products that transfer heat, plasticisers, rubbers and lubricants. Exposure to PCBs can cause developmental and neurological problems for babies (including in utero) and children.[1] [2]

What are xenoestrogens?

Xenoestrogens are a type of endocrine disruptor that specifically exert oestrogen-like effects. They are found in plastics, tap water, pesticides, birth control pills, cosmetics and personal care products such as shampoo/ conditioner, body creams and shower gels.

Oestrogen is an important hormone for reproductive health and the body regulates oestrogen levels through a complex network of biochemical pathways. The chemical structure of xenoestrogens is almost identical to the chemical structure of natural oestrogen.

When xenoestrogens enter the body, they have the ability to increase oestrogen levels and bind to oestrogen receptor sites in the same way that natural oestrogen does. This can result in a build-up of oestrogen which can have incredibly detrimental effects.

Xenoestrogens have been linked to breast, prostate and testicular cancer[1], fertility problems, miscarriages, obesity and diabetes.

11 ways to avoid hormone disruptors

Avoid using plastics completely and this includes plastic water bottles, food packaging (cling wrap) and food storage containers. Even BPA-free plastic products (which are marketed as safe) may pose a health risk as they contain a substance called BHPH which may also be harmful to health.[1] Use glass storage containers, glass or stainless-steel water bottles and reusable beeswax wraps or vegan soy wax wraps for food wrapping. Learn other ways to minimise your use of plastic.

Eat more plant-based foods and limit your consumption of meat. Meat is high in dioxins and pesticides; these chemicals accumulate in the fatty tissues of animals. Plant foods are highly nutritious and contain plenty of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that are vital for health. Learn more about plant-based eating.

Opt for organic produce especially fruits and vegetables and animal-derived products (eggs, meat) to avoid toxic pesticides, herbicides and other endocrine-disrupting chemicals. Grow your own vegetables, fruit and herbs at home. Even if you don’t have a garden, you can still grow produce like herbs, tomatoes and strawberries on window sills and balcony containers. Learn more about the benefits of organic food.

Avoid dairy products (even raw and organic milk), especially if you’re experiencing any hormone-related issues. Milk may contain dioxins, PCBs, insecticides and pesticides as the chemicals from environmental and feed contamination, leached milking machine components and cleaning agents transfer into the milk. Learn how to go dairy-free.

Drink filtered water using a high-quality water filter to avoid toxins including bisphenols (BPA), phthalates, pesticides and xenoestrogens.

Swap your non-stick cookware for stainless steel or cast iron to avoid exposure to PFAs.

Start reading labels so you know exactly what’s in the food you’re eating and the products you’re putting on your skin and in your home.

Steer clear of products that contain parabens, fragrances, phthalates and other toxic ingredients that sound like they’ve come straight out of a lab.

When buying new home furnishings (such as carpets, sofas and beds), opt for flame-retardant-free versions to reduce your exposure to polybrominated diphenyl ether chemicals.

Regularly vacuum and clean surfaces with a damp cloth to clean away the particles of endocrine-disrupting chemicals that accumulate in household dust.

Avoid canned food as cans are lined with BPA (to prevent corrosion) which leaches into the food. Use fresh, dried (beans, lentils etc) or frozen foods instead.

Do your research before buying children’s toys to assess what chemicals they may contain. Examples of toys and products aimed at children that contain toxic chemicals include balloons, slime, squidgy toys, plastic footballs, plastic toys (especially soft plastic toys), electronic toys and gadgets (such as electric cars/trains, games consoles) and art/craft materials.

  • Buy eco-safety tested wooden toysinstead of plastic toys.
  • Wash soft toys before use.
  • Opt for organic rag dolls with eco labels.
  • Make your own finger paints or playdoh.
  • Choose preservative-free arts and crafts materials that use food or plant colourings instead of harsh chemicals.

Chemical-free living

Chemicals and toxins are all around us and at times are difficult to avoid. However, you do have total control over the foods you eat, the products you put on your skin and what you use to clean your house. Avoid harmful endocrine disrupting chemicals and xenoestrogens by eating more organic, plant-based foods, drinking filtered water and using homemade skincare and cleaning products such as vinegar and water. Start reading the ingredient labels on food packaging and cosmetics, and steer clear of dairy, plastics and non-stick cookware.

Genetically Engineered Vaccines in Organic Meat & Dairy

Published: August 14, 2023

The USDA and some organic certifiers have been looking the other way as genetically engineered (GE) vaccines make their way into US organic production. This contravenes the very principles of organic agriculture. This government-sanctioned deception of the public must stop—particularly as we prepare for a wave of mRNA vaccines hitting the market.

Are you prepared to roll the dice with your health when you visit your grocery store?

Access to good, clean food is a pillar of natural health, as is transparency of our food supply chain. As such, many health-conscious consumers pay the premium to buy organic foods because they are meant to be free of synthetic inputs and much closer to the foods grown and consumed by our ancestors. Organic certification also is meant to provide a high level of transparency of organic foods and ingredients.

But large commercial interests have been eroding organic standards for some time. From a plain reading of the law (not to mention common sense) genetic engineering is not allowed in organic production. Yet according to industry watch-dog OrganicEye, the USDA, some certifiers, and certain commercial producers seem to be operating on a “don’t ask, don’t tell” basis when it comes to the use of genetically engineered (GE) or GMO-containing vaccines in organic livestock. The bottom line: there is currently no way for you to know whether GE or GMO-containing vaccines have been used to produce USDA-certified organic meat, eggs, or milk. If we want to protect the integrity of the organic standard, we have to close this loophole that’s being exploited by fraudulent operators once and for all.

At ANH-USA, we’ve been engaged on this issue for over a decade. In 2019, the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB), an advisory committee that helps the USDA shape organic standards, began considering whether to allow vaccines produced through “excluded methods” to be allowed in organic food. “Excluded methods” refers to practices like genetic modification. The NOSB has since recommended to the USDA that GE vaccines be allowed in organic production when an equivalent vaccine not produced through excluded methods is not commercially available.

But make no mistake: GE vaccines are already being used in organic production, and we have no way of knowing in which products. According to OrganicEye: “In discussions pursuant to vaccines at previous NOSB meetings, some certifiers, accredited by the USDA…have publicly admitted that they do not even check to determine if vaccines violate the prohibition against genetic engineering.” This is supported by comments from the organic industry: “Due to the lack of information or guidance about how to identify a GMO vaccine, certified livestock operations, with approval from their certifier, have chosen vaccines based upon effective disease prevention and not based on its GMO status.”

To us, the use of GE or GMO-containing vaccines in organic food amounts to public deceit, a blatant disregard of the law, and probable fraud. The USDA appears to agree, stating, “The use of genetic engineering, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs), is prohibited in organic products.” That the agency is reportedly looking the other way while GE or GMO vaccines are used in organic production is another demonstration of Big Ag’s influence on the integrity of our food supply.

i have a farmer pal i buy meat from and he says farmers are under increasing pressure to do all sorts of things. Its also hard for them to pursue a black market economy because then they aren't insured. So if they sell you meat and you get sick you are covered by the insurance but if it was done under the table the cover isn't there so that is risky for both parties.

An amish farmer is currently in hot water because he has been slaughtering cows on his own property and selling them to a large pool of customers instead of using the federal slaughter system

Yes it needs investigating all the updates for vaccines

 May 2023 farming and growing standards soil association;

( 3.4.6 Use of vaccines is permitted

You may use immunological veterinary medicines.

(EC) 834/2007 Art. 14(1)(e)(iii))?

That's problematic in itself to my mind but also Which vaccines I wonder

Ie what about mRNA ones doesn't appear to say

I've kind of trusted soil association all these years as have organic standards / certificates but need to be vigilant or just vegan /&or wild food etc ?

Now PAPER straws are cancelled: Scientists say 'eco-friendly' utensils contain potentially toxic chemicals - and are just as bad for the environment as plastic versions

We may all think we're doing our bit for the planet by sipping our drinks out of a paper straw.

But the 'eco-friendly' alternatives contain long-lasting and potentially toxic chemicals, a new study has concluded.

In the first analysis of its kind in Europe, Belgian researchers tested 39 brands of straws for the group of synthetic chemicals known as poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

PFAS were found in the majority of the straws tested and were most common in those made from paper and bamboo.

The synthetic chemicals are used to make everyday products, from outdoor clothing to non-stick pans, resistant to water, heat and stains.

Missing: Men with Testosterone (and a Back Bone)

https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.ama
24 Aug 2023

https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.ama

There is a relentless attack on men (particularly white men) and masculinity since a few years as part of the greater agenda to completely change society into a dystopian hell hole. For eons it was part of the responsibility of men to protect and defend the weaker and stand up for what is right. During the Scamdemic there were very few men who stood up against the tyrannical impositions. Most meekly followed orders, complied with ridiculous mask mandates, social distancing, and worse, and took the shots. It’s a tyrant’s dream not to have to go up against strong willed opposition, such as men with a strong back bone. At the same time the tyrants have been suppressing the feminine for millennia and are now going as far as erasing women by letting biological men compete in women’s sport, use women’s locker rooms and toilets and sharing women only hospital wards.

What causes this meekness? Indoctrination to obey authority figures since early childhood certainly plays a role, but the lack of Testosterone will play a major role in the lack of inner and outer strength with which comes self-confidence.
Testosterone is responsible for muscle strength, sperm and red blood cell production, sex drive (libido), bone mass, facial hair and much more. On an emotional level, Testosterone plays a role in certain behavior such as aggression, dominance and competitiveness. Low Testosterone results in a loss of confidence and lack of motivation. It can also lower a man’s ability to concentrate or cause feelings of sadness. Low Testosterone can cause sleep disturbances and lack of energy, and can also result in erectile dysfunction (ED).

Why is Testosterone, the male sex hormone and with it sperm, becoming an endangered species?

Environmental & Pharmaceutical Products
We’re bombarded with chemicals that mimic the effects of Estrogen, the female sex hormone. If there is too much Estrogen in a man’s body compared to the amount of Testosterone, it’s has the same effect as not having enough Testosterone as Estrogens counteract some of the effects of Testosterone. These chemicals are called hormone or endocrine disruptors. The table below shows some of them.

Hormone Disruptors

Atrazine in pesticides

Glyphosate

Pesticides

Bisphenol A (and S)

Phthalates

Parabens

Nonylphenol Ethoxylate in detergents

Triclosan

Butylated Hydroxyanisole

Oxybenzone in sunscreen

They are found in food grown in soil treated with pesticides and the weed killer glyphosate, in the ground water, in plastic bottles, in all products with a fragrance. Most products use chemical fragrances as opposed to essential natural oil derived fragrance as they are cheap. These are found in scented candles, household cleaners, air fresheners and personal care products. A major chemical is phthalates which are also a plasticizer to make plastic flexible, transparent and durable. They are used in lubricants, binders, emulsifying agents, dispersants used to make end products such as enteric-coated drugs, glue, electronics, building materials, personal care products, food products, pesticides, paints, toys, modeling clay, packaging, textiles, shower curtains, sex toys, vinyl upholstery, floor tiles, cleaning materials, perfume, eye shadow, moisturizers, nail polish, dish soap, hair spray, and more. Phthalates are the dominant plasticizer in PVC.

They are not solidly bound to the plastics they’re mixed in and thus get released into the environment very easily. The CDC tested individuals and found metabolites of multiple phthalates in the urine of most of them. They are taken in through diet and the environment. Dietary intake accounts for most of it. It is very prevalent in fatty foods like butter, milk, and meat (non organic).

Bisphenol A, the main chemical used in plastics is just as bad as phthalates and also disrupts hormones. The industry has replaced it with Bisphenol S, but it’s just as bad. It is also found in printed receipts. It ubiquitous in the water ways and can turn male fish into female fish. The Canadians statistics office did a survey in 2010 and found that 91 percent of all Canadians were excreting BPA in their urine. The average level found was one part per million—about 1,000 times higher than Estrogen circulating in the body. Canadian teens had about 30 percent more BPA than adults. It hardly is oversight or coincidence that government agencies tasked with protecting the public from such chemicals are not doing their job.

Not only do they lower Testosterone relative to Estrogen in men, but they lower the actual Testosterone synthesis. Dr. Shanna Swan published in the International Journal of Andrology in November 2009 found that boys exposed to phthalates during their mothers’ pregnancy showed less male typical play behavior. They avoided toys like cars, trains, or toy guns and rough play. They preferred playing with feminine toys. Think of a boy playing with a Barbie doll. It’s not only suspected that phthalates interfere with the male sex hormone Testosterone, but that they also actually alter the brain structure.

The pharmaceutical industry is pushing antidepressant drugs on pregnant women to “prevent” postpartum depression. Many antidepressant drugs contain fifty times the “safe” phthalate levels. This madness produces an entire generation of feminized boys with low sperm count, infertility (an epidemic), and feminine body types. Other pharmaceuticals that contain high levels of phthalates are omeprazole, meselamine, theophylline, and didanosine.

Obesity
Obesity caused by over eating, lack of exercise, lack of good nutrition, stress, environmental toxins such as toxic metals and chemicals leads to an increase in Estrogens in the fat tissue as adipose tissue is a major site for Estrogen storage and metabolism. This really is a vicious circle as the relative and absolute lack of Testosterone and increased level of Estrogens leads to abdominal fat accumulation in men. The fat tissue then produces more Estrogens and so the vicious circle continues.

Age
When men enter Andropause around the age of 40-50 there often is a decline in Testosterone and a relative excess of Estrogen, leading to the accumulation of body fat, leading to more Estrogen. Excess Estrogen also leads to inflammation, which in turn damages the lining of blood vessels, causing the body to patch it up with cholesterol and other material causing clogged blood vessels.

The combination of enormous amounts of Estrogens from the environment and low Testosterone is outright deadly. Add to that the low or sub-optimal thyroid hormones, chronic stress, diabetes, lack of exercise, unhealthy food choices, and smoking and you have a ticking time bomb. It gives you the classic picture of a heart-attack prone man with excess fat around the waist and enlarged breasts. Such a man will not have the physical or mental strength to stand up to tyrants.

What can be done?

Stop the Intake: First and foremost, the intake of hormone disruptors should be stopped as much as possible. Organic food contains much less of them than regular food. Since water contains these chemicals, a good water filter is indispensable. The best filter system is a reverse osmosis system, preferably for the whole house, but at the minimum for the kitchen faucet. Avoiding plastics such as plastic bottles is an absolute must as are plastic containers, particularly when they are heated in the microwave. Microwave cooking is not good for us anyway. It kills the food.

A mother I met at a medical convention told me that her fourteen-year- old son started taking plastic water bottles to school a year earlier. Then he started to gain weight and develop a girl-type figure with gynecomastia (men breasts). I’m sure that if I were to test his testosterone level, it would be too low for his age.

I know of several young men with Testosterone levels that are lower than those of a ninety-year-old man. There were no obvious reasons found for their low hormone levels, and I suspect they were caused by the hormone disruptors BPA and phthalates.

Detox: Bisphenol as well as Phthalates are mostly excreted through sweat. Thus exercise and/or sauna are good ways to start sweating to eliminate these chemicals. The body loves to store things it doesn’t know what to do with in fat tissue. If you begin a fat loss regimen, make sure you do something to break into a sweat a few times per week so the body can detox the released chemicals from the fat tissue and drink plenty of clean, filtered water from glass or steel containers.

A healthy liver is also very important for detoxification. There are basically two supplements that support the liver: Silibinin/Silymarin from Milk Thistle and DLPC (Plaquex Oral).

Reduce Estrogen: Excess Estrogen can be reduced by eating cruciferous vegetables (Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbages) or by taking supplements that contain the main ingredients like Indole-3-Carbinol ( I3C), Chrysin and Diindolylmethane (DIM). These supplement also block the conversion of Testosterone into Estrogen.

After a while, Estrogen levels should decline in men taking the above steps and Testosterone levels should increase relative to Estrogen.

Increase Testosterone Naturally:

There’s a bit of truth to the “use it or lose it” theory. A man with low levels of Testosterone may lose his desire for sex. Sexual stimulation and sexual activity cause Testosterone levels to rise. Testosterone levels can drop during a long period of sexual inactivity.

Exercise, particularly lifting weights, helps to increase Testosterone as do competitive sports.

Eat protein and healthy fats. Testosterone is ultimately made from Cholesterol. A low fat diet will decrease Testosterone. Beware of cholesterol lowering pharmaceuticals!

Avoid stress or find a way to deal with it. As the stress hormone Cortisol goes up, Testosterone goes down. Cholesterol will be shunted to make Cortisol instead of Testosterone in stressful situations.

Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to low Testosterone levels. Expose skin to the sun responsibly to make your own from cholesterol (no sunscreen) or take a Vitamin D3 supplement.

Zinc is important for Testosterone production. Taking Zinc 15-30mg for one week per month is a good way to replenish the Zinc stores.

Maca root: The maca plant is from South America. It has been shown in clinical and pre-clinical studies to encourage healthy sexual performance1-3.

Muira puama extract: the Muira puama plant is also from South America. Muira puama has a long-established reputation for promoting healthy male sexual function.

HMRlignan™ Norway spruce lignan extract: Norway spruce tree is a source of lignan compounds, which are converted to enterolactone in the digestive tract. Enterolactone is then absorbed into the bloodstream.4,5 Blood levels of enterolactone have been shown to be related to youthful testosterone ratios.6,7

Get enough, but not too much sleep. One study found that 5 hours of sleep per night was linked to a 10%–15% reduction in Testosterone levels. A study involving older men found that increased sleep duration of up to 9.9 hours was associated with increased Testosterone levels. Conversely, sleeping more than 9.9 hours was tied to lower Testosterone levels.

If all the above fails, bio-identical Testosterone replacement therapy is the last option. This comes with the disadvantage that the testicles will begin to shrink as they are no longer needed to make Testosterone due to the feedback loop that hormones have. If you give hormones from outside, the body thinks there is plenty and stops poking the glands to make their own. Then the gland begins to shrink.
The supplemented Testosterone often turns into Estrogen as well which must be blocked by Chrysin, I3C and/or DIM. Sometimes the pharmaceutical aromatase inhibitor Arimidex is necessary to block the conversion of Testosterone into Estrogen. Therefore, this should be the last resort.

Testosterone levels as well as Estradiol levels should be measured if symptoms of too little Testosterone are present. It can be done as a blood test: Free and Total Testosterone, DHT (DiHydro Testosterone), Estradiol and SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globuline).

The most important hormones can also be measured in a saliva test for people who don’t have a doctor willing to do the blood test.  The company I work for offers such a test with no prescription needed. It tests Estrone, Estradiol, Estriol, Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA and 4x Cortisol. As nearly everybody has gone through major Stress it’s a good idea to check the stress hormone Cortisol at four different times during a 24 hour period and the hormone DHEA. Under chronic sustained stress, the adrenal glands reduce the output of DHEA. Supplementing with DHEA can give the adrenal gland a rest which has been taxed with making Cortisol.

Comprehensive Saliva Hormone Test

The saliva tests usually costs USD 376.--. Use the discount code HormoneSubstack to get a discount of USD 77.--, valid until 9.30.2023.

If you can get a blood test, then that is preferable to saliva testing. If not, the saliva test is better than no test at all to see where you stand and if your measures of increasing Testosterone and reducing Estradiol are working.

Call to Action

For the coming months and probably years, we will need strong, confident men to stand up against the tyranny being imposed worldwide.  We need a large enough portion of passengers on airplanes, people at airports, hospitals, restaurants, stores and particularly schools and other places to refuse wearing a mask now that “mandates” are being put in place again. We need enough strong and confident men (and women) to refuse testing with a “test” that can’t test for disease and to refuse injections and “vaccine” passports. We need strong back bones to NOT comply with the tyrannical schemes by the evil that thinks it has the right to control the world.

So get your hormones tested, avoid the chemicals that feminize and take action to increase your Testosterone levels and lower Estrogen levels, gain self-confidence, be strong mentally, physically as well as emotionally and spiritually.

Same as when making straws out of shells but for different reasons. Something ive seen being used down here in Cornwall. I spoke to an owner of a local bar about the issues with shells being a finite resourse and vital habitat for many species. Some on the critically endangered list. Fair play to him, he decided as a result to no longer use straws at all.

Personally I think, unless you are disabled or too small to drink from a cup by yourself, they should not be available to use. Another example of virtually pointless production to line the capatilist pockets.

Mask study published by NIH suggests N95 Covid masks may expose wearers to dangerous level of toxic compounds linked to seizures and cancer

By Emily Joshu Health Reporter For Dailymail.Com

Updated: 12:33 BST, 27 August 2023

The surgical N95 mask has been held up as the gold standard when it comes to protecting against Covid

But a study quietly re-shared by the National Institutes of Health in spring suggests the tight-fitting mask may expose users to dangerous levels of toxic chemicals.

Researchers from Jeonbuk National University in South Korea looked at two types of disposable medical-grade masks, as well as several reusable cotton masks.

'It is clear that particular attention must be paid to the VOCs associated with the use of KF94 [medical] masks their effects on human health,' the researchers wrote in the study published April.

However, there are ways to reduce the danger, they said. 'Exposure can be significantly reduced if a mask is opened and left to sit for at least 30 min,' the researchers wrote.

This suggests that the packaging of these masks could play a role in the amount of chemicals they have.

The study was published in the journal Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety and on the NIH's website.

The NIH said: 'Inclusion in an NLM database does not imply endorsement of, or agreement with, the contents by NLM or the National Institutes of Health.'

The researchers found that the levels of TVOCs were 14 times lower in cloth masks and didn't pose a risk to human health.

However, the study did not measure the effect of people actually wearing the masks.

Dr Stuart Fischer, an internal medicine physician in New York, told DailyMail.com that strong conclusions couldn't be drawn from the study.

However, he did say that increasingly evidence has shown the drawbacks of mask-wearing. He added that 'there seems to be diminishing returns on the need for masks.'

In the latest study, researchers tested 14 disposable and cloth masks purchased online by measuring the amount of TVOCs in them. The disposable masks were KFAD and KF94 models, which were made from thermoplastics polypropylene and polyurethane nylon.

These masks have been popularized in South Korea, where the study was conducted, whereas KN95s are more popular in the US.

However, their differences are miniscule. KFADs and KF94s filter 94 percent of particles, while KN95s filter 95 percent.

The cloth masks were made from cotton, ramie - a vegetable fiber - and polyurethane.

'These TVOC concentration levels corresponded to a level that is harmless to the human body (no relevant health-related concerns),' the researchers wrote.

However, the disposable masks contained up to 14 times the TVOCs than cotton masks.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends keeping TVOC levels below 0.5 parts per million in indoor air.

The sample with the highest amount of TVOCs had 4,808 cubic meters per microgram, which is about 4.8 parts per million.

That's more than eight times the recommended limit.

TVOCs are a large group of odorous chemicals, many of which are released by cleaning and beauty products, burning fuel and cooking.

Sources of TVOCs in the home include aerosol sprays, cleansers and disinfectants, moth repellents, air fresheners and automotive products.

Other sources include building materials and furnishings, office equipment such as copiers and printers, permanent markers, correction fluids, carbonless copy paper and craft materials including glues and adhesives.

TVOCs have been shown to irritate the eyes, nose, and throat, cause difficulty breathing and nausea, and damage the central nervous system and organs like the liver, according to the American Lung Association (ALA).

Some are even considered human carcinogens, meaning they can cause cancer.

The researchers specifically flagged the chemicals dimethylacetamide (DMAc) and dimethylformamide (DMF) for being linked to liver and reproductive damage.

Microwaving Baby Food Containers Releases BILLIONS of Harmful Plastic Particles

September 1, 2023

By StudyFinds Staff

Parents should think twice before microwaving plastic baby food containers. Researchers from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln say that could release billions of tiny plastic particles into the food. Their study finds some containers released over two billion nanoplastics and four million microplastics per square centimeter when users exposed their containers to microwaves.

The health implications of consuming such micro and nanoplastics remain uncertain, but the study observed a significant impact on cultured embryonic kidney cells. After exposure to these plastic particles, around 75 percent of these cells died within two days. Given the potential risks, a 2022 report from the World Health Organization advised limiting exposure to these particles.
