No mate, 🤔 but got me thinking, is that some kind of worn out 'ladys parts' or something?

Actually, I think it was Fanny Fanackapan... coming back to me now... I may 'ave been wrong, but I think adults used to call little girls that who weren't paying attention because they were too busy being fussy, etc.... as in 'come along Fanny Fanackapan'... never really got to the bottom of that one... perhaps some else knows for sure.

That made me chuckle kingkitty, is that a metophor for fingering?

It's Shakespeare...from Measure for Measure.... it means having sex.

I like your explanation though.

I don't know I've been quite interested in polari since Thomas Sheridan started speaking about it.

I am a massive fan of around the hourne with Kenneth Williams didn't realise it was polari.

@RobSS

Good subject. Polari was still very common in the 1980's but like Cockney rhyming slang, it's declined considerably in the last 20 years.

Btw, contrary to what Truthspoon said, I'm not actually gay!

I wasn't accusing you of being gay. No need to get all insecure we are all friends here haha jk 😉

Why is it being insecure or wrong to say what one's sexuality is? I've been very open about it on the forum, but Truthspoon did get that wrong.

Made in Japan.....wow...you know you were living in Peak Civilisation when your household goods were made for you by the Japanese.....

I'm starting to think the 1980's may have been a Golden Age of sorts..... Anyone from the UK remember when if your train was delayed then the connecting train would wait for you?  90's were great too though...sudden drop off started in late 90's when we elected Blair....all went wrong from there.

It doesn't matter, I'm not, but I don't care if anyone is gay or not, so I can assure you, no offence was taken!

I'm not so sure. You seem flustered. Is this a sensitive subject for you. Always here if you need a chat Rob.

Not at all. There's honestly no need for your concern!

Panasonic I think are japenese weren't they?  If you had a Panasonic VHS video recorder then you really knew your tech shit, I think toshiba were pretty respected too and they were japs.
Yes you're right, the last of the good old days in the 80's when common sense somewhat existed less encumbered by frckin idjuts and polital correctness gone mad,
The trains did indeed wait for the next train to catch up with it to allow the passengers to board.
I remember too, All went downhill after blair project, nanny state britain, massive increase of speed bumps everywhere, all the health and safety nonsense really started getting silly, eg. kids playing conkers at school I think, and big hikes in food prices.
These war criminals are all the same, tut...
