Actually, I think it was Fanny Fanackapan... coming back to me now... I may 'ave been wrong, but I think adults used to call little girls that who weren't paying attention because they were too busy being fussy, etc.... as in 'come along Fanny Fanackapan'... never really got to the bottom of that one... perhaps some else knows for sure. Polari was still very common in the 1980's but like Cockney rhyming slang, it's declined considerably in the last 20 years. Anyone from the UK remember when if your train was delayed then the connecting train would wait for you? 90's were great too though...sudden drop off started in late 90's when we elected Blair....all went wrong from there. Panasonic I think are japenese weren't they? If you had a Panasonic VHS video recorder then you really knew your tech shit, I think toshiba were pretty respected too and they were japs. Yes you're right, the last of the good old days in the 80's when common sense somewhat existed less encumbered by frckin idjuts and polital correctness gone mad, The trains did indeed wait for the next train to catch up with it to allow the passengers to board.
