I thought the forum was gone this morning. I kept getting a cloudflare response saying there was an error from the server. I like what you're suggesting GR but Nemuri is right. It's not safe to share personal email even in private messages. What about a Telegram or Signal group?

you go to gmail and create an email account [email protected] and distrubute that.

its still a personal email addy and a point of contact

if that floats your boat

The "authorities" after at least 20 years of surveilling people have most of the infromation ttey need to know about you Doc, and also the vast majority of people on this forum. So if people want to share their personal info via PM's with people they trust, let them be.

As an ex-mod .... I can tell you that mods cannot read, nor see, pm's unless some one in the pm reports it.

That .... mods can see all email address's used to sign up to the forum.

That admin .... if they chose to .... can read all pm's.

That anyone with access to the database .... can read anything in the database (which would include pm's)

True. I'm not discouraging others. I just don't fancy it. I don't trust this forums security I'm afraid. I get enough spam in my Inbox, most of it started after I had a confrontation on here with Ween Dwijler.....just a coincidence I'm sure.

Admin can of course (along with any one who has access to the server, so webmaster etc) see ip addresses .... so can mods.

Mods can also search for all ip's used by any account .... and these all link back to any 'other' username.

I'm not advocating for people to share their private information with any Tom, Dick or Harry in a PM on this forum, only the ones they trust and they need more personal and local support.

 

If push comes to shove I will share my info with you, @Velma@oddsnsods @Macnamara

because I have known your content and on the whole agreed with it for over five years.

When I became a mod there was only screaming and jump rogue .... and I only became a mod to stop jump rogue from banning everyone!

There showed five mods .... but there was only the 2. Then plus me. Then just me and screaming.

I had emailed Gareth to offer as a mod (due to jump rogues actions and she told me that "If I thought I could do a better job as a mod then to contact Gareth" .... so I did) and after was told that he asked the 2 mods what they thought .... both I guess said yes (silly of jump rogue as I got them removed after two weeks of collation of all data showing what they had done).

 

After that .... I recommended the members who I thought would be good mods (I passed the thoughts by screaming first of course and I did read all of the posts made by the members I thought would be good mods).

 

Most good people do not want to be mods (and I comprehend why) .... so after the hack I just got Gareth to 'make' some people mods (who I had picked).

Eve didn't like it .... but Grumpy and BC are still there (although BC has 'life' to currently deal with but I hope he returns).

 

So in effect .... the current mods vet the new possible mods.

Gareth Icke never apologised for agreeing to a moderator who almost destroyed the fourm ..

called "Jump Rogue" Come on Gareth apologise and explain why?

 

I sent many messages to Gareth about this moderator and he didn't respond.

 

The moderaor "Jump Rogue" was giving people "time out" for two weeks for swearing in a post

months before!

 

My relationship with Screaming Eagle, a moderator now and throughout all this has not been a good one because he or she never was true to himself or herself by acknowledging the "Jump Rogue" moderaor was a fucking tyrant.

I would also like to state .... After the failed attempt at creating a 'council' of members to control the actions of the mods, I did ask Muir to be a mod .... but he turned me down twice.

Then about a month later he contacted me and said that he would take on moderation duties .... so I contacted Gareth and the next day Muir was a mod (that was the 12th Dec 2019 I think).

He was a 'good' member who didn't want to be a mod .... but if the hack hadn't happened .... I think he still would be one.

The main reason the moderator "Jump Rogue" who was appointed by Gareth Icke was disposed of was because the banned members could talk about it on Novum's Truthzone site. Without that outlet Jump Rogue may still be calling the shots.
