PDF's and VIDEOS

Can someone tell me why PDF's and video's cannot be downloaded onto this forum?.

LINK's to videos can, but not individual videos or PDF's.

You can copy and paste text from most pdf's that you find online on to internet forums. I didn't know that there were any internet forums around where you could download videos.

You could upload (short) videos on this forum, but not any more because it just takes too much storage/data and I believe you couldn't upload PDFs directly on this forum for security reasons. If you have something to share upload it on one of the many sharing sites and paste links.

Members have limited storage quota, and the webhost does not have infinite storage. Some members kept uploading video attachments, and then complained when their personal storage was full. Also there were concerns about copyrighted material being uploaded here without permission. So it was decided to disallow video attachments.

 

If the video you want to share is already hosted elsewhere, then just copy the link to it in your post.

 

PDFs have never been allowed here, due to potential security issues.
