Also its great to have somewhere where people are on the same page as me for the most part. It was around 2015 -16 when things started to just get silly with the powers that be throwing fits about brexit even after the brits had voted and the elite couldn't hide their contempt any longer and now they are so open it really is unreal to me sometimes. You know I might still be relatively young but it wasn't so long ago i could turn the radio on and listen to a show on lbc or something (nick abbot was fantastic as was tommy boyd) i grew up with talk radio. Now its unlistenable with the ads, propaganda etc. Its been going on for years but it was a bit more mature and not so in your face before it didn't make my blood boil as much. Even in the 20s 30s and 40s they used propaganda but its just got so in your face over the decades its just repulsive. Sport and entertainment has been crushed for the masses. I can no longer switch on and enjoy a football game without being lectured. And a lot of jobs now require you to go on a course about diversity and inclusion. You know i was just thinking tonight I still use ThemTube as theres still a few good content creators on there. And its made me think about all those on "our side of the fence" using terms like "the V", or the "J" and other such code words. Just think about how utterly ridiculous that is. Really. We cant even discuss or have a conversation without using code words. Wtf. And i think even I up until this point was slowly getting used to it being that way. But i have to remind myself tonight how utterly insane that is. With everything falling into insanity its difficult to get my head sometimes. I can hear Alan Watt in my head now "it wasn't always like this" "back in the day, you used to etc etc". My one is back in the day you used to be able to google something and get what you googled come up. Now anyone i enjoy or like the first things that come up is msn articles and such garbage. @Macnamara sorry just read your post again misintepreted it needed a rant been stressed at work. Yes and in the old forum too. I had a few accounts but was mainly a lurker. I miss steppwear. Depressing barstard but funny. The covid effect, brexit bollocks, and the slow creep of groupthink censorship have turned the internet (and society) into drivel. "The other side" don't want to hear anything to break the spell they're under, or shatter the delusion that's made them put untested crap into their body. However, I am not already able to put my finger on one thing in particular, or things in particular. I think that on an individual level for vast majority of people, whether they demonstrate it or not, the choice on how they interpret their experiences here is made. Or maybe the dice are rolled for me and i tend to project it on the majority. I was angry two months ago because a comment i wrote on a video was "offensive language" something like that. I talking precisely about what i could see in the thumbnail. I was not even criticizing the act itself. I was talking about a tool(tools) that the Men was using for hammering the lady. I was genuinely trill to see that the video was featuring a type of hammer i was using as a machinist....they seem to used it as a hammer should be use..here we call this type of hammer a"dead blow" hammer.
