Best UK based VPNs?

Why UK based, or any 5 Eye nation?

You will have to excuse my ignorance.

What I'm essentially trying to do is, set myself up for safe travel.

I'm planning to go to Mexico, and I want to securely be able to trade and do banking. I'm a UK citizen - hence why I assumed UK VPN based may be better option, but open to any other ideas that will work.

Ok, I'm not sure what the best is, but this is something to be wary of:

Why VPN Services Based in 5 Eyes, 9 Eyes and 14 Eyes are a Threat to Your Privacy

It's not just conspiracy theorist fear mongering either as mainstream VPN review sites often warn people about VPNs located in Five Eye nations.

i just signed up to surfshark. they do 2 years for £43

I got them too, they support Linux, multiple devices and I got a great introductory deal last year.

No probs with them so far, and they seem to update their software regulary.

Yeah ok, so I spent some time reading up on this - one extreme group blame another extreme group for something we don't know who started and a company got caught being duped over a fake tweet and nobody really knows wtf is going on but Surfshark are being blamed for being deceived

I don't think its worth cancelling my subscription.

Politics has got crazy with Political correctness and falling for some fake info does not make them a bad company.

This is getting ridiculous.

I don’t know much about VPN’s, my mate suggested nord vpn to me. I can put my ‘location’ into any country around the world, and get the Internet accordingly. For example some videos on Zionism is banned on bitchute, so I have to change my country from UK to maybe America, and then I can watch the video. Works on my laptop and phone.

I dont know much about this sort of stuff though, and how useful/ protective it is

they are mainly the same.

you get a good deal if you sign up for the first time. but when renewal comes along change and find it cheaper.

i was with nord 99 quid for 3 yrs. now surfshark 46 quid for 2 yrs.

its best to pay 2/3 years up front than a monthly fee.

i find vpns struggle from windows. android apps piece of cake.

Can you recomend any? What names are they? I google 'non uk vpn' and I get a load of reviews for UK based vpn's!

It would be helpful if you learn a bit about free VPNs. Not all will give you protection. You pay a few £ and it's worth it.

See "Best VPNs outside Five Eyes"

Lol, it lists Surfshark as one of the best VPN's for privacy as its Virgin Islands.

Why didn't you just tell me I already have a good one? Anyway, thanks for the read.

@bamboozooka looks like we lucked out with VPN choice, I didn't realise it was offshore, I just knew it was Linux friendly, turns out its both! I'll be sticking with them.

I would stay away from any large VPNs like Surfshark, NordVPN etc.. they will sell you out when push comes to shove.  You should use a 4G residential proxy on top of a trusted VPN.  4G proxies can vary between $20 - $50 per month so not cheap but they offer good protection when combined with a VPN.
