The ease at which the Taliban seem to be sweeping through the country. The fall of Kabul in a matter of days Where is the Afghan army and what happened to all that “training”? NO MENTION OF COVID – as if it never happened... One view is that in doing so you essentially create a modern force that can be used as "training" for certain (NATO) forces or to see how the Russians and/or Chinese deal with them (there is talk about the Chinese wanting to send in ''advisors'').
