That is not the point though.....are you familiar with what might loosely be called the 'rights' of women, under Sharia? I think you might need to look that up. That's half the population, right there.

 

These 'rights' include; the right to be flogged if you leave your house without a male guardian, the right to have the tips of your fingers cut off if you wear nail varnish, the right to be a child bride, the right to have to wear the full burka. This list is not exhaustive of course, there are many other similar rights already available, to those lucky women in Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Iran, etc. 

 

I would also suggest that to view the Taliban as enlightened liberators of the people, is misguided. Remember when they blew up the huge 6th century Buddha statues in Bamyan? Well they are at it again already;

For the last few years, that has been just 2,500 or so US troops in Afghanistan, about half the crew of a US aircraft carrier.  And the US has 14 of those. The mass occupation finished some time ago.

 

Should never have been there at all of course, that goes without saying.

 

 

It has indeed been reported at first - then the media - the mainstream media that I have seen - are saying that the Taliban are going against their word - which I don't think they are.

 

I know a little about Sharia law, not an expert. It's not for me to judge Sharia law - whether it's right or wrong - that's their business.

 

I also do not think they are enlightened liberators. I just think it's hypocritical to portray them as being evil (which they are) when the people occupying them are much ore evil. I determine that statement by looking at the numbers of people each side have killed and the destruction each side has caused - rather than the methods.

 

And also pointing out, if the shoe was on the other foot, I'm pretty sure us "good guys" would be treating the fleeing occupiers similarly.

Someone is gagging for another 'war'. Or at least some kind of 'military intervention'. But that always works out really well doesn't it?

 

Because launching a few air strikes or dropping a few bombs 'looks' like 'something is being done'. But all it does is just makes matters worse.

 

History has a habit of repeating itself, if you don't learn from it.

 

 

On a side note, I do congratulate the Taliban for effectively ending the Covid Pandemic.

Interesting. They do all look pretty similar to him. He doesn't seem to have big ears though, or that large brow area above his eyes like a caveman. He might have just lost some weight though or the perspectives could be deceiving me. Either way, that's still an interesting find, I wasn't aware of those pics on the left.

Is an odd clickbait headline, but interesting article for once, pointing out about the drug trade & Fentanyl.

Im personally, decriminalise all drugs & end the industrial prison injustice system.

Put the money into giving poor kids something to do in life & a job to go too.

Once again tho, thats a fairy story to most, even tho is the most obvious solution to the misery.

I dont think junkies or dealers should be locked up for insane sentences, whilst big pharma execs never even see court for their murders that the illegal drug trade pales in comparison.

Just more hypocritical bullshit to keep us all living in misery.

Agreed. Nobody should be punished for harming themselves. Addicts need help and motivation to get on the right path, not punishment.

Drugs are wrong mate, whichever way you look at it. My brother works as a councillor and visits people in the community and in prisons trying to help them.

Drugs have ruined so many lives, most people in prison are in for drug related crimes.

The us, uk and many governments around the world sell billions of dollars worth of drugs every year, they love it. If you look at people like b.j. boris johnson and arden they have got junkie written all over them. Heavy drug users.

Giving people a free for all and letting drugs flood the country is going to destroy everything. This is what the bastards want. That is why drugs are available in the first place, to sedate the people, destroy the people, keep the people involved in this waste of a life rather than rising up and challenging the establishment. An insurance policy, a distraction to oppress.

I have met a few junkies in my time and they all say the same thing: Not a day goes by that i do not think of heroin, dream of heroin, want heroin.

They totally forget their family and friends, and spend all day breaking into people's houses, cars, mugging people on the streets, waste of a life and destruction of society, the escalating number of people in prison proves that.

Junkies and dealers should be imprisoned, make them undertake courses, show them how their actions are so destructive, not only for themselves but everybody else.
