Had a weird 'flu like' illness this week.

Saturday sneezed a couple of times, felt a bit off.

Sunday felt exactly like I had a cold but no cough, no runny nose, ached all over, tiredness, high temp, bad headache, couldn't eat.

Just getting better today.

Very weird! especially the 'no cough no snots' part, spoken to others on other sites who had similar thing in the last coupleof weeks. Never had anything like that before and hadn't been near any other people in close proximity.

Ideas?

Anyone here had similar?

Glad you are feeling better. I'd say to myself what if it was 2018 now, what would I think I had?

I wouldn't know then either tbh.

I get your point, but it was just very odd.

Every cold I've ever had in the last 50 years was a typical cold.

I'm not saying this was 'covid' or something like that, just.. odd.🤔

I had that March before last. It might have been the coof. It was like a flu without the snot nor the chestiness.

I was mostly tired and run down for a couple of days. I think I drank my way through it.

It is worse for certain blood groups. O blood group seems relatively unaffected by the coof.

I don't know my bloodtype unfortunately.

Not had a ciggie since last sunday, so that is probably a plus benefit!

Put all my baccy and rizlas in a cupboard might try to quit smoking now for a while.

Well.... smoking you should definitely quit.... unless you've got a nice bit of hash to go with it......

Best thing to give up is sugar........ right across the board.

When there's a bug going round I don't catch it until I have some sugar, then I can literally feel my immune system taxed...... and I get ill....

Not had anything green to smoke either lol.

I don't go out of my way to eat sugary food, don't add it to tea, worst thing would be a piece of chocolate.

"The gp said that all the winter bugs are going around now because they've had less chance to circulate earlier in the year due to lockdown and no one is immune to them by now as they would normally have been"

I have been avoiding people because they are  probably vaccinated!  Mumsnet has some bloody weird threads!

Maybe I'm different because viruses have manifested in all sorts of ways with me over the years. I used to commute on the train and I'd get 24hr things. Feeling achy, distant, sneezy, a rash. You name it. I've had proper flu, pneumonia and even tracheitis a couple of years ago too - these nasty ones always followed a bad event in my life. My OH always says only you can get all these illnesses! None of the Convid symptoms they come up with are any different to me. It's a wonder I've not had a virus with all this turmoil we are in! I can only put it down to the fact that I have never been as sure about things as I am over all this and searching for truth and goodness is keeping me strong.

I have had glandular fever and shingles twice..both times the gp said you're only supposed to get them once.😂

Had a pretty stressful childhood which didn't do my health much good and I always think that is a huge part of it.

I'm wondering what the censorship is like on mumsnet?  Do they automatically delete anything anti-vax, anti-WHO, anti-virus/contagion-mythology?

Maybe i'll put it to the test... 😏

Edit: I've left an enlightening (if I may say so myself!) post at the [2nd from the] bottom of page 5😉

My life has been turned upside down in the past six months. I'm a front line RN and got both Pfizer vaccines as soon as my employer offered. I haven't worked in six months-tachycardia,fever,headaches,sore throat, thyroiditis, hypothyroidism, fever daily, vasculitis, elevated lipids and cholesterol, two rashes, new onset diabetes. Every month it's something bad. I just had a cardiac CT this am cause my labs are so bad. I've never been on so much medication. Don't mean to scare you by this post but I can honestly say I still want people to get vaccinated but to be educated.

This is the kind of masochism that's only made possible by a kind of religious mindset.

Shadowmoon, high temps basically always go along with:

loss for appetit (couldnt eat), headache, tiredness.

These things are to my experience always connected in one way or other, which makes sense if you think about it.

When you are sick, you never really are hungry, no matter what it is.

High temps always go with headaches and your body is tired.

Flu like symptoms can also appear without the usual running nose and the cough which they are mostly associated with.

I would not read too much into it.

Getting sick from time to time isnt a problem, even though it is uncomfortable when you go through it.

Actually, to be honest week before last we did north Wales coast line travelling from rhyl to holyhead taking in all the beaches along the way RHYL TOWYN PRESTATYN colwyn bay etc all the way up to holyhead.

now we NEVER came in contact with no-one even though we spent the week on the beaches, we kept ourselves to ourselves. now on the Friday our last day both myself and my lady came down with serious chills fever high temp dry throat etc. come next morning headaches aches heavy chesty mucus which has carried on for nearly two weeks.

we have combatted this with ginger lemon and apple cider vinegar. but it has left us both tired and no energy. but the children are fine no problems what-so-ever.

now after one week of doing the suffering my lady did a lateral flow test and it was negative.

it was only yesterday I had an epiphany reading a post about graphene oxide that I twigged what happened the post highlighted the ways graphene can be passed into the body, aerosol being one of them. now we know the vaccines are loaded with graphene hence everybody becoming ill. but I never thought it would be sprayed onto us as in my mind it surely is. I am totally convinced now they are trying as hard to infect everybody with this graphene injected or not. now reading the write up on this it says NAC is the cure hence why children where fine they would have seriously high levels, but over 30 it decreases fast and can only be given on a prescription. so what i understand its probably best to do a full detox of liver and kidneys which I will do, followed by a couple of days water fast. as I can see my body is really trying to move this crap out of my body . i will obviously let you all know what happens.

I haven't  been near anyone really much, the only people I've been close to for any amount of time are the stand in the park group and we meet outdoors and that's only for an hour or so and my allotment which is pretty quiet.

I rarely go to the shops and haven't been for a fortnight at least.

This just hit me from nowhere.

@shadowmoonyeah weird man. My Mrs ended up vomiting on Tuesday from a banging migraine and my daughter was vomiting yesterday from what appears to be a stomach bug. I'm absolutely fine but strange they were both sick within 24 hrs of each other so couldn't be anything they've eaten because I've eaten with them.

As @Useyournous said above, if this was 2018 you wouldn't have bat an eyelid. 🤣

Never suffered from hay fever,  the only time was when I had a small olive tree indoors once and got massive allergies from the pollen and that was 5 years back.

Definitely some sort of cold or flu.. it would have been interesting (in some ways) to get a covid test done.. but the idea of that huge cotton bud up my nose no way.

Every time I saw anyone with a different pov there they were usually shouted down. saw one post earlier saying "get your facts right go to factcheck, WHO, and etc."!

They aren't very tolerant .
